The Heaton Park Tramway celebrations took place over the weekend of Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th March 2010. Manchester Eades Reversible Horse Tramcar L53, Blackpool 752 and Leeds 6 were in operation. There was also Visiting vintage buses on display.An excellent event that all concerned should be very proud of.You would be hard pushed to find a friendlier or more enthusiastic bunch of people.

5/5*...so many great things about this fine video...I recall a similar clang from Chicago Lincoln Avenue streetcars from my younger days in the 1940s...it was a lullaby that put us to sleep...the horses were superb...they appeared to be in step, left right left and so on...this is a superb video and I am pleased that my friend, Rob, has shared it with me...best wishes to all who view here :)

very interesting thanks Tommy... I live just up the road from Heaton Park, I always knew the tramway was there I didn't know they had nice events like this... I will have to pay more attention from now on ;-)

Great video, wish I'd stayed longer now, looks like I missed some of the best bits. Didn't see the Dalek in there though, but at least I managed to not get in your shot this time! :-)

@mollsmyre Hi Tommy, well to make up for making an unscheduled appearance at the start of your last ELR video, I managed to get a shot of you along with the other 'paparrazzi' at Heaton Park this time!:-) heyrodders comment about spreading like manure was very appropriate considering what those horses did on the tramway a couple of times during the afternoon!:-)

@mollsmyre Well, I enjoy all things 'tracked'.. and trams more than most! I have been on YT near enough from the start, in one way or another, and I know a good video when I see one.. :)

@mollsmyre The watcher watched!:-) It wasn't a deliberate shot, I only noticed it afterwards (that's the trouble with those tiny viewfinders), it did look like Posh and Becks had just turned up though judging by the scramble of photters down there. The camera survived I'm pleased to say, it's been tested on Shel a few times, so it must be unbreakable!:-)
