Even though people ridiculed him, Xie Lian didn’t have the heart to hate them, he saw evil spirits as spirits that were wronged and that wrong caused them to become unrest/resentful and he felt pity for them. When people viewed Hua Chengs butterflies with fear, he thought those butterflies were beautiful. There’s a lot of depth to the novel and usually many novels miss that.

Xie Lian is my favorite character; his complexity, themes, and morals really speak to me. I love the romantic aspect of TGCF, but what really stands out with this story for me is the character development of Xie Lian. It is just so well written and moving that as a writer it just really inspires me.

The animators just went “What if we made Xie Lian as pretty as possible?” Also thiis song SLAPS

The marriage sedan scene will hit you so hard once you've finished the novel. The first time I've read it, I was so giddy and the butterflies in my stomach are just everything. But after I finished reading the novel, coming back to that moment makes me feel so nostalgic that a pang can literally be felt. It just hits different knowing that after 800 years of searching, Hua Cheng finally found the love of his life. 😭

Man was it a HUGE mistake for this one to be my first damnei I read. Now all the others I'm reading don't come close to this masterpiece :(

Sigh... They're, like, technically married at the first meeting after 800 years. The red robes can be the wedding attires.

I remember coming to this show just because I had nothing else to watch. But after that scene I was so intrigued in what's going on I binge-watched the whole series, then ended up buying all the novels and finishing them in about a week. I never would have expected to find such a well crafted story, with amazingly well written characters and so much emotion behind it. Then when I came back to this scene again, because I just had to watch the show once more with the knowledge of what was going on and I couldn't believe how differently this scene hit me. Not to mention all the love and detail that went into how this scene was presented - from the animation, the music and so many more little details. It's baffling! Never in my life have I been so happy to run into something on a whim. So I'm more than happy to say that Heaven Official's Blessing is now one of my favourite stories and at the very least may favourite romance.

And so, the Crimson Rain finally got the Flower he sought for 800 years. Beautiful.

You know it’s a great story when straight people love this show, gotta say I find this to be an unexpected gem for how smooth the relationships are and the personalities of the characters. I am generally invested in these two relationship and how it progresses. I never thought I would be so into a show if same gender relationships yet how they did it was just so well done and I look forward to season 2. This series is what got me to look into Mo Dao Zu Shi.

Words can´t describe how much I love TGCF, this is my first Danmei novel I´ve ever read, and no regrets. I just love Xie Lian so much, he´s my fav character fr, like I never imagined to love so much a fictional character, his backstory is really sad, I feel like he suffered a lot and he could be a great villain but decided to believe in humanity for a second time. Sometimes I forget how powerful he is because he´s literally a sunshine and I just really adore him. They are my fav couple like they love each other sm. This is the most romantic novel I've ever read. I thought I'm already a die hard WangXian fan but HuaLian really wrecked me so hard and I'm so inlove with Hua Cheng. Now, I can barely move on from the novel. I really hate MXTX for playing with my heart LOL. Anyways can anyone suggests other novel like this? I will really appreciate it!

I'm korean. Heaven officer's blessing released in Korea a few days ago(maybe 1 week?), and I read 10 books out of all 15books in just 4 days!😂 The rest will come in July, and I can't wait for their next scene... I'm almost crying..
