Actually there was no country before 1970 it was a princely state called 'Bangla'( Bengal) then British separate it from India, one part stayed with India called West Bengal ( also other state such as tripura) . Bengali is the 5th or 6th widely spoken language in the world. And in India it's 2nd largest spoken language. So most of the times western people get confused (as they don't know ) if it's Bengali it's probably from Bangladesh but actually it's not fact. The fact is we are also Bengalis and also they are and as because we were one at one time so our language is same ( but region to region the dialect changes in both Bangladesh and West Bengal (India) , the food, the people basically same. So next time don't get confused 🙂. Though Coke studio Bangla is from Bangladesh.
