I'm smiling while watching. These machines are the real deal. Thank you Sir for constantly inspiring me. Africa Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 to the 🌍 world. You really make me believe that anything is possible so I hope my RU-vid channel grows. Your channel is amazing. I'm a young farmlady from Nigeria
Jason, we have a Challenger MT875E & a MT865E. They are powerhouses. We use our MT875E to pull our 40' Degelman Pro-Till and our 11 shank Blu Jet in line ripper. LOVE to see these tractors work. GO BTP 💪
Billy's a beast, would love to know his story, we have a local guy who built his own bigger farm business and even tho he's the boss man he's the guy you'll find out on the dozer or the truck hauling grain. Merry Christmas BTP
Those tracked tractors are nice . We run 3 tracked tractors. A case 580 quadtrac for tillage . A johndeere 9570rt and johndeere 8370rt for planters . We still have a 8420 r on tires for grain cart. We run 2 kinze 3660 planters along with a 40 foot johndeere 1990 air seeder for wheat and soybeans . We farm corn soybeans and double crop soybeans on 5200 acres plus custom farm. The tracked tractors float across the fields and you can pull a grain cart at 15 mph and not even spill your drink plus the traction in wet conditions is great. We pull a tile plow with our johndeere 9570rt in mud with very little trouble with very bad soil conditions . Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
@ the 8370rt and 9570rt or the 8420 depending on the day . We custom farm and do tillage and rock picking for other farmers so sometimes We need the 9570rt for pulling a Salford vertical tillage tool or our 65 foot land roller . We have many other machines as well but they are old we keep a decent fleet of machines around . We farm our own 5200 acres and then custom farm another 1500 to 2000 acres depending on the year . We double crop soybeans after wheat so we have to work quickly. We used to travel to Kansas to custom harvest wheat during the summer years ago that's how we grew our farm from 300 acres to 5200 . We farm in south eastern Michigan and north eastern Ohio we travel a large area .
Would like to hear the owner's opinion on how the Challenger compares to the 9620RX ... Original price tag, pulling power, fuel consumption and resale value ... Another great video BTP 😀👍
I have s video called why 12 tires where Billy touches on this a little. His farm has this MT875E, two 9620RXs and two 9620Rs for big tillage. His short answer is he likes them all. That said Billy has personally run a Challenger every year since 2006. The farm is strong green but for the tractor he puts 14 hour days in with its been all yellow.
Hammer down let’s go... lol so what’s the reason for all Deere tractors with the one cat? Operators preference, performance, or they like mixing them up? That’s looks to be a big operation...great video.
Amazing video the power of the tractor and the good job to break the compaction and being a good rock finder at the same time, good thing for shear bolts!👍
Very impressive tractor. I think I like it better than the big articulated Case IH or JD, even though I think they are pretty sweet also! Great Video Jason. Have a very Merry Christmas and a tremendous New Year!
Good evening have you heard of the new large Challenger tracked tractors with the Fendt CVT transmission? Those tracks look like it would ride great across a field Big Tractor Power. It seems that the rubber tracked tractors was a game changer for large acreage farms.
That is proper deep ripping! You need enough power to do it with authority so you're not raising & lowering the ripper in the tough spots! Great video!
If my memory is correct, he said in one of your past videos that Challenger tractor outperforms the deere four track tractors. If so, I wonder why do they only run one Challenger?
These new big high horsepower tractors are pretty awesome. But when you show the footage of the well maintained vintage tractors I still have to like the classics. Also it still makes me wonder if the huge cost increase for these modern tractors really outweighs the production percentage versus the older well maintained machines.
It does not. Especially with the emissions equipment that shortens the life of the engines. Trucking experiences the same issues. Expecting half or a little better before shelling out 25k minimum rebuilding a motor nah....Run the older equipment and write off all repairs.
@@chasefreedom5178 that's what I was thinking. When you look at the cost of one brand new tractor hell you can buy four of the old ones for half the price one brakes you can just swap it out worry about fixing it later
1970, we got a new farm at Bangalow Nsw, A D:9 Cat came in to rip out the blue metal stones that were tossed out of Mt Warning volcano about 10,million years ago,60 miles away Well anyway, some were as big as a car. Stalled the D:9 Several times
Just saying but "puts them all to the ground" is wrong, not a single tractor does. No mather the brand you'll lose at least 100hp from engine to ground.
This farm runs 9 and sometimes 11 on the 915 this Challenger pulls. In the red clay soil of Western Kentucky 9 shanks at 16-18 inches deep is all a 600 hp tractor can handle at times.
Next time you talk to a guy in a noisy tractor cab, could you maybe put a mic on him or put subtitles in the video? I really like the content but I heard about one out of every five words
I switched to using a go pro in the cab it cleans up the sound. The camera I used in this video picks up the air conditioner and it makes it noisy. There are challenges filming in the field in the fall. 1. Limited hours of sun light. In this case it was late afternoon and the sun was setting fast. 2. I am filming machinery at work. There is no time to “mike up”. I wave to the farmer and I jump in and film as he continues to work. This where the go pro is working better on sound. 3. On this day my go pro was in the truck the charging after filming 6 hours. No time to run back and get it.
Why do they "rip" so shallow? Im used to ripping in normal soils from 17 to 23 in but heavy sand up to 35 in. Any shallower than 17 basically counts as chiseling
Every body run is thing the way they want but i would have lower the hydrolic pressure😄 and at 13:00 the chalenger look like is angry and want the job to be done haahaha.
That is Billy running it. The only time he might not be in the drivers seat is if they are combining beans and they want to get the rippers in the field too.
