@@douglasashleigh4989 Unfortunately runs to Driftwood and Emporium stopped around the end of winter. OL-3 still makes runs to Port Allegany on Wednesdays, but other than that, the Buffalo Line south of there has been placed out of service.
@@mattygunn693 i had a feeling.. Keating Summit was one of the great spots in the Northeast for gritty action. I go back to PRR days in the 60s. I guess prospects for new traffic is dim now
@@douglasashleigh4989 As much as I'd love to say there's always hope for business to return in the future, that might not be the case here as they're getting rid of all of their six-axle power. It truly is a shame because I love that portion of the Buffalo Line, but I'm just glad I was able to catch the Emporium run twice, once at Keating Summit. I'll still keep my hopes up for traffic to return; as a friend of mine once said: as long as the tracks are in place, there's still hope!
Thanks Matty. Are the GP15s in use and will they be repainted into a new livery? I hope so and that they can work Local Trains on the line. I'll have to check-out the WNYP some more.
The GP15s aren't in service yet, and will eventually get the corporate paint scheme. Unfortunately when they do get put in service, that's the end of the GEs.
@@cna435 You're welcome, and I couldn't agree more. I particularly hate how they stopped the Driftwood stone runs and Emporium sand runs. I love that portion of the Buffalo Line and hate to see it out of service south of Port Allegany.
