I would assume most big cities / global cities have them. Some of my favorite local ones here in Chicago are Le Nocturne and Sound Bar. Chicago is full of them... but it's hardly surprising. House music was literally born here. I will never stop being proud as fuck of that!

@@BlownUpp really? I just looked through a handful of those, and still looks like DJ-centric setups... the lighting and audience in a circle around the DJ. It's fine, just not the same, to me. I go to such events to dance in my own world and/or hang with friends, not feel like I'm at a concert, focused on a stage. To each their own, of course.

what makes book club parties so special is that the crowds are genuinely enjoying the time as we did back in the 90/2000s...not like most of the crowds you see today on youtube, where almost every single individual is having their face shoved in their phones, either recording (events thats already being recorded) or whatever else...lol...phone addicts are terrible...luckily we have a book club :)
