[HEAVY GORE/13+] Rarity's Death Redraw - MLP Speedpaint 

The progress is just like oh my god down to the shading details And the facial expressions improved so much only from a few years ago and the message at then end there with some of your videos with the messages at the end inspired me to make a mental heath circle at school to help and tell people about different things that play into mental health and how to protect their mental health thank you for basically inspiring me to help others beautiful speedpaint ✨💙

Rewriting the story I wrote on the 1st speedpaint! Love the new one Blits^^ Prettier, skinner, better. It plagued her mind, this sudden ideal that drove her stress and struggles further. The gentle clopping of her own hooved against the floor seemed surreal, as her heavy sparatic breathing was the only thing she could hear other than that voice in her head whom infected her thoughts. Prettier, skinner, better. How to address this... Prettier, of course, just fixing up her matted and messy mane and applying a mask of make-up to hide behind would work. A hair-brush lied on the floor, she had tried to use it, but tangles within her purple and violet hair caught the comb before. Better work- better dresses- but that wouldn't matter if her appearance wasn't peak. Skinner; her most prominent issue. The white unicorn had stopped eating all together, but it just wasn't enough. It would never be enough. It did nothing. Prettier. The boutique was left a mess, cupboards opened and drawers agape as Rarity scurried about for SOME solution, ANYTHING to solve her problem. While stumbling past a mirror, something caught her weary eyes. Something glistening from the light of her magic. Something sharp. Skinner. The long blade levitated towards her as her magic caught the handle, illuminating the dark atmosphere with a faint blue glow.. as if a light in the darkness. As if a solution. Rarity slowed her steps, quietly approaching the mirror whilst holding the large knife. It did not matter how it got there, all that mattered was she now had an idea. Her eyes met her reflection within the mirror. She saw no ideal body, no glimmer and shine. It was only her. .. Placing her front hooves on the counter, she brought down the knife upon her fur. It was the only way left. So, the mare begins to cut away at her body, ridding herself of these thoughts once and for all. *Better.*

I think the saddest part about this is: as she’s literally bleeding out, moments away from dying, I bet all she’s thinking about is how much blood is getting in her mane, and how she’ll have to clean the floor later. I love this artwork! It’s gorgeous!

I like the touch of Rarity using her magic to hold her hoof still, since the pain would make anyone want to pull away

Rarity’s death has always been the most painfully relatable. Anyone who ever struggled with body issues or dysphoria they know these feelings. How when your so deep in it you can sometimes have these fantasies of just “cutting it all away”. It’s why I’m so happy Blitz also did a recovery speed paint of a different rarity drawing. Which I’m gonna go watch now

Little detail, I don't know if this was intentional, but she's cutting into her upper shin, about to cut into her Femoral Artery in the lower thigh, which, once nicked, would cause very fast bleeding and that's probably what did her in. Great attention to anatomy there, whether intentional or not, amazing artwork!

Rarity thought being skinnier would be the answer ro better beauty..but as she weaved the blade along her delicate skin and fur, she realized far, far too late that all she saw was not a skinny body but red muscles twitching in pain, a pool of red copper and her exposed bpdy now struggling to keep any insulation of warmth, not only did the copper pool, her body rapidly became cold..

This is gonna sound morbid, but, Rarity kinda looks like a cut gem in this speedpaint, mainly due to the way the muscle tissue is textured and how it reflects the light of her horn! This probably wasn't intentional, but it looks really interesting to me! I love this speedpaint for how visceral and detailed it is! Great work!

Skinnier. Prettier. Skinnier. Prettier. Those same two words repeated in Rarity’s mind, her eyes scanned the most recent models of Equestria. A beautiful palomino, thin long legs and gorgeous bright white mane that was curled to perfection was placed front in center of the paper for Equestria’s top model. Rarity’s eyes scanned the mares features and physical body, jealousy was clear on her face. With every pony busy or out of town she had nobody to hangout with to help her from these- thoughts. Therapy helped somewhat but it was becoming too much. Nobody knew. It would be disastrous, or so she thought. Any only escape from this madness would be to get rid of the excess body fat or weight that kept her looking healthy and beautiful. One slice at a time made her cry out silently. Slowly working from her cheeks, to her neck, front legs, abdomen and finally her hind legs. Just one more leg and she’d be perfect. She’d be skinnier, prettier. Skinnier, Prettier. Skinnier, Prettier. Was her last thoughts before falling unconscious from the lack of blood within her body, the discarded skin in neat little piles nearby.

The only thing overpowering her physical pain is her psychological one. She looks like she tries to slice all of it away, yet only manages to leave scars even deeper then before... Awfully deep for a mlp painting... You okay girl?

This was sick. I love that on new version of Rarity's death she have less skin and flesh remained on her body. Comparing with old artwork you skill growth drastically for so short period of time. I'm so impressed. Great job as always, Blits. Can't wait for all mane 6 deaths to be reworked. Absolutely sick!

can we just take a moment to actually admire this... the fact that rarity is using her magic to literally hold her leg in place to skin herself shows not just her physical pain, but her emotional pain as well. she WANTED to do that to herself, she WANTED that pain! i cant imagine what is/was going through her mind at this moment and what drove her to do this to her beautiful self. phenomenal work as always blitz! you really out did yourself this time! :3

Every time I see a redraw I am like "This masterpiece could not be improved more" I'm always wrong

I believe that this drawing is one of the most significant for me. I suffer from body dysmorphia and I can understand very well the pain that rarity feels at that time. Many people interpret it with rarity but the saddest thing is that this problem really exists and is real. Thank you very much for this drawing. ♡︎

Rarity sat on the floor, wondering what she had just done. She had always taken skin and fat off herself but this was to much, she wouldn't survive. She made excuses to her friends while she healed every other time, but it would take weeks if not months to heal if she did end up alive after. This was a mess. She decided to give up, she had taken so much muscle that she couldn't move. She laid there for hours until she finally passed away, saying goodbye to her friends.

I like how she looks more like she’s in pain compared to the original.

My god… the pain that this peice of art shows is so hypnotizing the way her hair just flows out on the floor and the cuts she made in her body it’s crazy.. yet beautiful at the same time

First of all, I’m glad you got some rest Blitz! Second, the expressions in Rarity’s face seemed so realistic, even though it was fiction. You’re such an amazing artist, and please continue your work! Also, the message you wrote at the end was really kind, and considerate for the people who are struggling. Sadly I can imagine her seeing herself in one of the mirrors, smiling through pained tears, exhausted and finally happy with herself just as she passes from the blood loss. Edit: Hallucination and other factors would probably set in. She is skinning herself alive. Another edit: Uhh morbidly curious but where is she putting all the pieces she's cutting off?

Rarity sat alone in her parlor, cold tiles seeped through her fur and sank into her bones. She felt weak. Her stomach rumbled, begging for food. Rarity shouted wordlessly into the dark, wishing the harsh pangs of hunger would go away. She had to find away to lose all this excess flesh. Flesh. This was a part of her! Why would she think of it that way? Unable to sit any longer, she stood up with determination. Her horn glowed blue as she paced, her eyes focused on something sharp. Something shiny. Shiny was good. It was always good. A magazine lie open near the blade, turned to a page full of the most gorgeous ponies in Equestria. Their sparkling fur, glossy, perfect mane.. their thin frames. They were perfect. It was everything she wasn't. With a soft sigh she reached out and drew the knife close with her magic. Jealousy and self-hate overwhelmed her body, and sinking hole filled her chest. A large, crystal clear mirror lay ahead of her. Rarity had to remove more this time. She glared at her reflection, patches of scabbed over wounds were all she saw. No longer was her white fur perfect. It was ugly. She was ugly. Rarity sat herself gently onto the floor, stretching herself out gingerly, tears pricking her eyes when her scabs cracked. She tilted her snout upwards, gritting her teeth. The cold blade scraped over the healing wound before it caught and peeling away a single layer. With obsessive care, Rarity shaved layer after layer of her cheek muscles, ensuring it would be perfect and symmetrical. Pain flooded her face, blood beginning to pool down and drip onto her fur. She hissed with disgust, her blood tainting her fur red. Once she was satisfied with her face she moved on. Hours passed with the primal urge to keep going. She must be perfect. She must be the prettiest. But looking at herself, she saw she was still not skinny enough. The knife passed over her calf, and she nearly slipped and cut her hamstring. Rarity was so.. so tired. Black blood pooled beneath her fragile frame, the deep slices from long before refused to relent, throbbing with pain and bleeding profusely. Her vision flickered. No. She couldn't pass out now. Rarity had to be beautiful. Skinny. With a soft, choked sob, she sliced through her calf. The thick slab of muscle hit the ground with a wet splat. So.. close.. The weak pony had made the mistake of severing her Femoral Artery completely. Now she could never recover. With horror, Rarity found she couldn't control the knife anymore. The blue glow of her horn flickered and went out, leaving her in darkness. It was warm.. She wasn't able to feel the panic. She wasn't able to feel the pain. Rarity was calm. And so she gave in. The urge to fall asleep was the right decision.. Now she was finally pretty. Right? Thank you for taking the time to read this. As someone who has and sometimes still suffers with these thoughts and behaviors, I find it comforting that I'm not alone. No one here is. If you are suffering with any self-injuring tendencies or even just feeling sad for longer than usual, it is okay to talk to someone. Guy, girl, they, them, you will always be listened to. Many people here are younger, so I'd like to tell you that you can speak to your school counselor and they will be happy to listen and offer other resources for help! Please, please seek a trusted adult if you feel that you are in danger at any point!

this very inspired me in a weird way but at the end. I know that rarity doesnt actually hurt herself in the mlp show but I have in real life. I wish that I had a cool group of friends like this one girl who goes to my school but I dont know how to talk to them or make friends at all, guess I'm just socially awkward but I want to thank you Blits for giving everyone that message. it's TRUE. NO ONE is alone in this time of struggle. remember that. 🧡

This piece have always been one of my very top favs from you, it held so much emotion in it and all the colors gave such a dark and sad feeling, like a crawling but silent scream. The remake is honestly out of this world!! I love your eye for details and anatomy, simply mindblowing- GORGEOUS job Blits!!

I'm sorry that Rarity's Death Redraw was a fiction by sickness, but happy that you finish Rarity's Death Redraw and hope still get better and a little later who is next after Rarity's Death- pinkie pie, applejack or fluttershy.

I love gore, and it is very creative how you came up with Rarity's death (I'm assuming you came up with the idea) It's especially cool seeing someone draw so realistically, the proportions are just like an actual horse!

If you really think about it she would have passed out due to the blood loss or the sight of her own flesh wayyyy sooner. A dumb thought that came across my mind but I just gotta say im impressed shes able to take off so much flesh while still being awake through all of it. Amazing work nevertheless!

This is an upgraded story of Rari's death SpeedPaint :) The pain,the blood,the death... Rarity,after her friends died,fell into depression.Her only freinds left were FlutterShy and PinkiePie and they were devastated as well. One day, FlutterShy came to the boutique to find the door was locked.Rarity had locked herself inside,and stopped eating and when Flutter came to the door,Rarity yelled,"GO AWAY!!!". FlutterShy heard the white unicorn mare's muffled cry behind the door and tears welled up in her eyes as she galloped back to the cottage.Rarity looked in the mirror and didn't see herself,but an ugly white unicorn in her reflection."I'm a mess...I need to be skinnier.."She told herself,grabbing a knife within her magic grasp.She didn't bother to curl her hair and put it up in a bun,instead she lied down on the boutique floor,and began the cutting...

I’m late oh no! But besides that, I am beyond impressed at your improvement. I love the knife effect. I see that she’s using magic to hold her hoof. To me, it seems that she wants to pull away from the knife and obviously reflexes also play a part, so I think she’s holding her hoof with her magic to prevent herself from pulling away to punish herself. And the tendons, muscle and veins look absolutely phenomenal. I saw the picture on Instagram and was just in awe. Incredible job Blitz!

The night was young as the boutique closed. Once the last of her clients had left, Rarity closed the door behind them, locking herself in. She breathed a sigh of relief for another long day of toiling away, weaving and sewing materials into the finest garments she could muster. Rarity enjoyed her work, the patrons were many and it certainly kept her sprightly and on her hooves. There wasn't a thing about her job that she didn't enjoy... The problem she had... Was herself. Rarity's designs were renowned far and wide across Ponyville, be they evening attire or breathtaking wedding gowns and suits, her clients often referred to her work with endless amounts of praise "Stunning" "Breathtaking" "Perfection at its finest" That was when Rarity realised exactly what her own problem was. She effortlessly made other ponies look "perfect" so... Why wouldn't she be able to apply that knowledge to herself? Rarity glanced at herself in the long, crystalline mirror, taking in every aspect of her body. Every singular flaw, however miniscule, she saw it all clear as day. "Why, that's exactly what I was missing" she thought to herself "I have strived so hard to help others find self perfection, that I forgot to help myself! How very silly of me. Self care is most important, after all." Satisfied with her revelation, Rarity had a plan. The only thing she lacked now was something to implement that plan. She glanced at the various tools she used daily. Needle and thread? "No, far too small to be efficient at this scale" Sewing scissors? "Too delicate and pristine to dull them down on myself. It would take far too long and that would only lead to more mess." A...Knife? Rarity was somewhat confused, she didn't remember leaving a knife on her counter, and certainly Sweetiebell wouldn't be carrying something like that around. The knife shimmered in a soft blue glow as Rarity turned it around, at every angle. Rarity smiled, it was as if Celestia herself had given her a solution to her deepest problem. "Yes, this will do nicely" Rarity exclaimed, taking in every inch of the knife, from handle to blade tip. She tested it out on an excessively thick piece of material she would otherwise have struggled to find use for. The knife slashed and sliced through with seamless ease. "My word, its so light yet most efficient!" she thought to herself. Finally with the solution to her problem, Rarity moved herself to a part of the boutique where her materials were tucked away from any potential mess. She sat herself down on the tiled floor, with heavy breaths. "Beauty is only skin deep, is that not the saying?" she said as she caught her reflection in the blade, practically enthralled by the edged tool she held beside her. With one last breath, Rarity used as much of her magic as she could possibly muster to keep her hoofs firmly in place. A tiny movement could ruin her chances of perfection, she couldn't possibly have that. She kept herself still and firm, much like the mannequins dotted about the boutique. Once she was certain that this was what she had to do, she began to slice away at her cheeks gently as if shaving a beard. Blood dripped down her chin, splattering the tiles. Once she had looked over herself in the mirror, Rarity, satisfied with her now flawless facial work, moved on to her thighs. No sooner had she begun to cut into her flesh than she realised... She'd made a horrible, fatal mistake. She'd just cut into her femoral artery. The flow of crimson was faster and heavier this time. Seemingly endless, it pooled around her leg, seeping into the gaps between the tiles and running down them like a rich, red stream of... Wait! Why was she so mesmerised? She was bleeding out with no hope of survival. Then the pain truly set in, stinging at every inch of her now mangled body. As Rarity lay breathless and exhausted on the cold and once pristine tiles, she cried. She desperately wished she could take it all back, to undo her foolish mistake. But it was far too late to regret anything now. She'd blindly followed her inner lust for perfection and now she'd dug herself into a hole from which there was no escape. There was no going back. She knew that now. She lay her head down and sobbed. Her dying wish left her lips "I wish I'd not been so hard on myself. All those tiny flaws were much better than... This... Oh, I'd take every word back if I could..." No hope. No time for remorse and regret. No undoing what was done. No breaths left... Only Unending blackness

I think it would be a good idea if you would have drawn wooden or leather stick in her month, the reason is so she doesn’t break her teeth because of the pain. People used it to bare with pain if they couldn’t use pain reliever during amputation, for example during the world wars

This one always skeeved me out the most, and this version had me wiggling my toes the whole time! So daunting, and gory

Really the only constructive criticism I have for this is that some of the skin would be either flopping down or be lying on the floor considering she's taking it off. From here it looks a bit like the skin she removed has just vanished, though I could be missing something. Otherwise this is a stunning picture and really showcases your improvement in lighting, pose, and anatomy!! Can't wait for more!

This is a true masterpiece. The only this I would change is some bloody skin on the floor around her, this would add more to the: Im cutting off my skin.. Overall this is something that I would hang up in a art museum.

Rarity hated how she looked. She always thought other ponies were prettier and she’d have to step up her game to be like them. So she thought about getting plastic surgery, but it was too expensive to get it done by a professional. So she grabbed a knife from the kitchen, And began to cut everything she hated off. The pain was unbearable, but all she wanted was to look pretty in the end.

Its odd, gore dosent get me much but anything that have to do with calves mess with me so much. Still can't figure out why though. Looks as wonderful as usual!!!

Story cause uh yeah Rarity was making a beautiful white dress, the color as pure as doves. As she was sewing, she searched her fabric pile. Unfortunately, she'd ran out of white fabric. " It's late at night, and I won't be able to find white fabric for miles! I have to have this done by TOMMOROW or else... " she begun crying. " MY CAREER WILL BE RUINED! " She tried searching her boutique, checking if maybe she had left some fabric anywhere. She spotted a knife, usually used for cutting fabric, as she'd recently lost her scissors, and they were too expensive to buy. She thought to herself, " Remember, Rarity. It's about what the customer wants. You have to do this, no matter how much it hurts. " Using her magic, she picked up the knife, and dug it into her torso area. She begun to move it across more, and then cut off the area of her fur completely, along with some flesh. " This is NOT GOOD ENOUGH! It's stained red! " She yelled, throwing the blood-stained chunk into the bin, and then continuing to remove her fur. She cut into her cheek, near wanting to cry for help. To stop herself, she thought " It's for the customer, it must be done. " as she further moved the knife across her face, and then gouging the piece of fur and flesh with the knife. " Same problem, when will I get a good replacement?! " She would have continued forcing herself to suffer, but she dug the knife into her shin, and cut that piece off flesh off. " Perfect. " She said, pained from all the bleeding and amount of flesh she'd lost. She walked towards the mannequin that had the dress on... And pinned it on. The dress was complete, but at what cost? Soon enough, Rarity fell to the ground, dead from all the bleeding. The next day, a beautiful mare, green with a blue mane, walked in.... And she came across Rarity's body, then looked up at the dress, part of it covered in blood.

Being a person who has Anorexia Nervosa and body dysmorphia, this is a very accurate representation of how it feels. Wishing to cut everything off. I always imagined and fantasized about gutting myself out and taking out all the food I had eating and skinning my insides, then stitching it all back up. Fresh start.

You did a well job on this Blits, Keep up the awesome work!
