EggXactly. One of the nicest setups I've seen. Would love to have that. Congratulations.

Man you’re awesome at shooting! I’m a newbie and love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing, I wanna start learning to work on my own bow. So I don’t depend on nobody else to do it for me. Just found out that the pro shop that set my bow up did it all wrong, and I had someone else fix everything. And they also had my draw length to short , so the guy fixed everything for me and I’m shooting a lot better groups now. So thanks for sharing so I can try to learn to tinker on my bow myself.🙏🏽

Good stuff guys, always learning here. I just paper tuned and bare shaft tuned my own bow for the first time, really rewarding!

Enjoyed it. You seemed calm enough. I’m not the brightest guy in the bow shop thus my frustration would have been over the top….unless Rachel’s husband was behind the lens. 🏆Good luck on the 400 pound mountain bugling critters 👍

How is the draw cycle compared to your rx7 or vtm31?

What did you end up with as far as spacer configuration?
@BowOnlyOutdoors
@BowOnlyOutdoors 2 месяца назад
Spacer configuration will vary from shooter to shooter and limbs to limbs so it is not to be modeled based off of one particular set up even if it is the same bow model.

I'm new to this so what is the cable for!? Do you have a video explaining it?
@BowOnlyOutdoors
@BowOnlyOutdoors 19 дней назад
Thanks for checking out the channel, specifically what cable are you referring to?
@clayton1379
@clayton1379 19 дней назад
@@BowOnlyOutdoors you put a small black cable from the white bow string down to something!
@clayton1379
@clayton1379 19 дней назад
@BowOnlyOutdoors I'm sorry you said cord at 4:10
@BowOnlyOutdoors
@BowOnlyOutdoors 18 дней назад
The black cord is attached to a drop away arrow rest, the cord goes into the downward cable (white) and when the bow is drawn back the arrow rest raises, and when the bow is shot the black cord goes upward and makes the rest drop out of the way so the arrow can cleanly pass through without contact

Long gone are the days of limited tuning using coiled spring rests, tiller adjustment and paper to tune our equipment 🤔😊

No but the outdoor education center in Lincoln has an excellent range!

What do you think of the grip? Many guys are liking that bow. But I don’t hear many saying they like the grip. I don’t understand why Mathews and Hoyt won’t listen to the consumers and square up the edge of the grip on there bows…

I’ve killed Elk with 60lb slow, by today’s standards, bows with 400 gr arrows with sharp fixed heads. Hope you don’t get in a bad position and not be able to draw the bow back or get caught sky drawing

@@HuntEthical nope a realist Less then 20 years ago there were very few bows with an ibo rating over 300fps A 70lb bow then is like a new 50lb bow
@Frostyice2123

I imagine it’s different for everyone depending on when they get into archery etc. I started at 13 and as the years went by I increased poundage to the point I always maxed out 70 lb bows and 80 wasn’t an option. When I made the switch from 70 to 80 I don’t know 6 years ago or so I didn’t even notice the difference. Drew back as if it was only 70. Probably advancement in the draw cycles of bows these days plus just the large number of years of shooting.

Just some extra strength training that is around now that can help. In 6 months i went from 60 pounds to 75 and i wasnt as consistent as i could of been.

@@HuntEthical Just look at how much KE it actually takes to kill and elk successfully and you won't laugh at the "old fart". Also consider the people that kill elk every year with recurve bows lol. I guess the joke could be on you.

You guys have all those targets outside, that home, the equipment and $2000 bows, but using a ladder for your paper tuning? That's hilarious and makes no sense.

Haha, not our targets or our home. We’re just very thankful we get to use it.
