u don't need to lift like a power lifter to look like a bodybuilder. There's a reason why he's had so many back and hip surgeries. He wasn't smart with his lifting.
Do you know why there will not be ever another Ronnie Coleman? First of all, nobody will have this genetics and second of all, nobody will destroy his body as much as Ronnie did for this sport. He trully sacrifaced all of his soul and body to bodybuilding and thats why i love him.
I agree with you except about genetics. Nature controls that one. No doubt they are millions out there with Ronnie's kind of genetics but they have either chosen a different path or are too weak to do what Ronnie did. EVERY HUMAN HAS OUTSTANDING POTENTIALS yet just few really use the most.
The genetics will be there (considering it is a massive population) but the combination of genetics, hardwork, proper steroid cycle and health may not be there to produce a specimen like him again
''I remember we would get off the planes, and Ronnie would be like where is the gym? I just wanted to eat and chill but wanted to beat him so had to go. He had this schedule where every friday it was leg day. First it was one plate, then two, then three, four... I would bail after four and he would just keep going. I haven't seen anything like it, to see someone train like that under any circumstance.'' -Jay Cutler
You know what I think part of Ronnie’s success was? Outside of obviously having the genetics and body composition to be great, and the work ethic, he just seemed to really enjoy bodybuilding. Like, I don’t think he ever really saw it as a job or something to get through and go home. When you enjoy what you’re doing you get better results.
Also, that was his downfall that he can't even walk anymore. He's almost paralyzed now. After he retired; he continued doing his insane heavy weight workout routines -- and as a result, destroyed his spinal cord. If he was still a pro -- you say, ok, he was doing it to get ahead -- but after retirement; that's just stupid to keep doing that to yourself. He's a good man -- but not much intelligence.
@@shapursasan9019 Try to say to a singer to stop sing. A cooker to stop cooking. A teacher to stop teach. That's the same thing, if the meaning of your life is doing what you love, you will never stop doing it. It's his life. But his downfall was always trying to break his limits, and he did it, he did something that no one will do, he is the greatest among the greatest, the one and only, a legend that have a imortal legacy
@@andreicarvalho7350 You didn't get it -- I never said that he should've stopped working out. Go listen to his interview with Joe Rogan -- He injured his back because he was trying to break his squat record after he had already retired. That's just stupidity. When working out is not your profession anymore, and it's just for health and fitness -- then you try to be smart about it and not risk your health. He didn't do that -- and for the rest of his life, he'll be crutches... That has nothing to do with greatness.
I agree that he should’ve slowed down after retiring but I’m speaking specifically about his success as a pro bodybuilder here. But I’ll address this too. He didn’t use heavy weight regularly for all body parts. That’s a huge misconception people have about his training style. And he’s even talked about the importance of using moderate weight to get a pump and only using as much weight as you can without struggling in one of his videos. When he did want to go big, it was usually when squatting. He has a powerlifting background and I think he mainly squatted over 400lbs not for hypertrophy, but for strength and the thrill of it. He could get away with that when he was a pro and using PEDS but after retiring and downsizing, it wasn’t a wise move to continue training that way. You can still bodybuild because you love it, but you have to do what’s appropriate for your body and body chemistry. So it wasn’t his love of the sport that caused his health to decline-it was making unwise decisions. He’s definitely an intelligent person (he has a degree in accounting) but even intelligent people can make poor choices for a myriad of reasons.
@Vercusgames I don't know where you heard that 'stem cell' has cured him? I don't think that's true. I remember Joe Rogan was telling him about it... Nothing can ever make him walk without crutches ever again. His whole spinal cord is fused-together with no mobility. He's done.
''I had a hard time keeping training partners, mainly because of the leg workouts.. Generally these guys would do good till they went through a leg workout with me, then they didn't come back. Ronnie came down here, his potential was immediately obvious, the guy had veins popping through a basic training sweatsuit, legs and arms. Back then, I could beat him on everything at first. Then within 6 months I never beat him on anything ever again.'' -Brian Dobson
I know these words by heart and whenever I see them, I get Goosebumps! Thank you Brian Dobson for never giving up on convincing Ronnie to train back in early 1990.
I love the commentary from Jay. Jay is an amazing guy and is a good friend of Ronnie’s. Ronnie was a freak. He did things in the gym that no other could do. That’s what made him the greatest of all time.
I couldn't agree more when he came to New Zealand in 2001 at his absolute best, Megatron vascularity, shredded to the very bone and thick as a friggin animal, we followed him after his seminar through downtown Auckland city and jaws dropped and eyes fixated only on Ronnie. I will never see a God sent beast on this planet ever again.
@@Vladm557 not everyone that's old ends up in a wheelchair. I know a lot of elderly individuals that still walk perfectly fine. The gym I go to has a lot of elderly people that are very mobile.
Regardless of how bad things turned out for Big Ronnie , he became the best of all time doing what he absolutely loved. Very few people get to be the very best at what they truly love.
Ronnie Coleman gave every single fiber of his being to bodybuilding people will often say don't leave anything on the table One man actually did that and it was the King himself Ronnie Coleman much much respect
I know right I'm so hyped for so many different reasons right now after watching this lol! one being I'm going to be training legs in the next 24-48hrs .
Everytime i see a video for ronnie i say this why he is the king of this sport👍🏻❤️he sacrificed his physique his health his time to reach to this by far he is the greatest of all time.. respect him
Ironic that he "sacrificed his physique, his health"...isn't it, in a so-called "sport"- predicated upon THAT very IDEAL?!!!!! It's ONLY looks, and bullshit!
Everyone knows there will never be a Ronnie again, on score cards the highest possible will be a 9.8/10, Ronnie being 9.9 and a 10 being no one because no one will better big ron 💪👊
Thanks @NicandroVisionMotivation for this mammoth motivation. Guys who would've witnessed Big Ron working out would get warmed up,without even hitting the weights!!! "BIG RON" is Legend ultra Pro Max😎 Light weights baby, ain't nothing but a peanut! 😈💪💕
I'm at Ronnie about 4 or 5 years ago. You actually feel like he cares what you're saying. Genuine man and has always been not caring person from what I can research. It was an honor
@@StarzzyJJASD Arnold would win the popular vote for sure. But if you magically could introduce a young unknown Arnold into Ronnies era of bodybuilding, he probably would have had a hard time getting into the pros, much less taking on Ronnie Coleman. Then again Arnold trained with his times resources, and was always a cut above the competition. Given 30 years of advancement in the sport, a young Arnold would surely have looked very different. Arnold trained to be a fantastic looking orange and Ronnie was a fantastic looking apple. In my world Arnold was a mythical character, and it's hard to beat a legend. But size wise, Coleman had Schwarzenegger beat, any day of the week.
@@KingKiloOfficial have you seen Ronnie stomach Arnold had a beautiful body huge arms big chest small waist I’m pretty sure most people would prefer Arnold physic
@@crimescene25 everybody that competes in bodybuilding on a serious level is on steroids man you’re not saying anything that isn’t super obvious. But steroids or not he’s still standout. You don’t get that way without hard work all the time, don’t diminish his achievements because you think pointing out a bodybuilder uses steroids is some kinda win lol
@@Bonsoirmonamie trust me i know eons more about bodybuilding than you because i actually lift, and go to the gym. Please stfu about if from your couch…
@@Bonsoirmonamie you know how easy it is to workout for 8 hours a day when youre juiced up? Really fuckin easy its also easy to eat 5,000 calories a day. It all boils down to money. Its pay to win.. again please dont pretend to know something while you surf a couch in life.

When you get legendary bodybuilders like Jay. Cuttler, Kevin. Levrone, Kai. Green saying this guy was from another planet, I believe that! You see him on videos and you still in awe. Imagine seeing him in person lol😳😳😳👀🤣🤣🤣
But he look too big he has no aesthetics ,i am not saying arnold said it ,he is a hard worker and talented but i dont think normal people should try to be like him it is very unhealthy in long term instead we should try to be like Arnold
A king passes all test and endures all trials Ronnie did that he inspired millions even me his dedication and determination was unmatched. He was in a era of all the elite genetic gods too like flex, and jay and they couldn’t touch him. I’m glad to have grew up witnessing such a great man god bless you Ronnie you deserve these flowers
When I see a Ronnie the GOAT Coleman video of such high quality, I watch it while eating, then get some sleep, and then wake up and watch it with full volume, again, again and work the Fuck out until I literally puke! No words can express how much Big Ron means to me! ❤️ #MyPreAndWhileWorkoutCollectionUpdated
Be careful! Ronnie Coleman worked hard, yes, but you have to remember that genetics and steroids make up a huge reason for his success. Natural lifters simply cannot train to the degree that juiced lifters can. If you want to follow someone who knows what it takes to train as a natural lifter, follow Brad Schoenfeld. He's a PHD in exercise science and specializes in hypertrophy training. The last thing you want to do to yourself is cause rhabdomyolysis.
