I've been on a King Fowley interview kick lately. Listening alot at work. I can listen to him talk all day... I've had Supernatural Addiction playing constantly since the end September. Favorite Deceased album. He needs his own podcast. Talking and playing music in between. Met King in Worcester, Massachusetts at Ralph's Rock Diner. You see is what you get. Fun show

It's as if King is the third member of the Heavy Metallurgy team. Love his enthusiasm/stories/knowledge so much. Looking forward for the next time he's on the show... And awesome job from the HM team as usual. I hope you guys consider contacting Kenn Nardi and have him on the show for the Anacrusis bio/story... Stay awesome.

Great show again. Very random to find out about the Inishmore album by Riot, hadn't heard of that album before but I go to one of the nearby islands every year. Will have to look into if any of the band members have family in the islands or if they just liked the place.

I didn't read ALL of the comments. So this may have been answered already, but on the subject of who did that older Fates Warning cover art, it was indeed a Greek artist named Ioannis Vassilopoulos. King must have been thinking of something else, lol. Just wanted to clarify that for you guys. Just trying to be informative, lol.

Nice session guys! Loved the Thin Lizzy/Lizzy Borden Confusion with that story at the gig hahahahahaha. My first Metal Blade albums were Liege Lord-Master Control and Voivod`s War & Pain I completely agree with Alan on South of Heaven-its insanely good...It's my favorite Slayer album now a days, for a long time too. No other release has ever sounded like that. And I completely agree with Marty on Sacred Reich-Ignorance. It fuckin rips! The electronic/triphop era of The Gathering is amazing as well. And I completely agree with King on Nasty Savage debut--love it...great heavy metal work.. and without Nasty Savage, there would be no death metal. Nasty Savage were/are worshipped by the nascent death metal scene musicians back in the days. Cannibal Corpse is really overrated for me--mehhh, and Six Feet Under sucks. Al
@HeavyMetallurgy
@HeavyMetallurgy 2 года назад
Thanks for watching and for your comment. South of Heaven… I like it more now than when it came out. Following up RiB was a tall order and I wanted more speed out of them, but they went in the opposite direction. I get it now, but was disappointed back then. Take care.
@tamer.elgamal
@tamer.elgamal 2 года назад
@@HeavyMetallurgy South of Heaven is one of those albums that show that being heavy or sick or eerie doesn't necessarily have to be fast. That album atmosphere and riffs are untouchable, definitely my favorite Slayer album... Stay awesome HM team.

never cared for any metallica honestly. always found them forgettable. it never was heavy, fast or memorable to me. slayer lost me at 'reign in blood'. scaled back and with a new 'attack 'to their sound that didn't do it for me like 'show' 'haunting' or 'hell' did. to each thier own is my motto. cheers :)

@@kingfowley2082 ah ah King. I saw you struggle there and I was watching it quite late (and a week later) in the evening so I dozed off so didn't seen the end. I also struggled for a few minutes to get their name but then got it and posted here... then I dozzed off and woke up to post something about Darth Vader's Church on this Friday's 10th Dec Florida DM live stream (i've since caught up the end bit of your Metal Blade one) decent german band... Sacred Steel were bit ridiculled here in Europe early on (meanwhile euro "poodle hair" power metal was all the praise in the press) but I always liked their north american influenced power-metal. Not the smartest most sophisticated PM out there but pretty good blood n' guts PM. I'm sure they are huge in Greece. Talkin' about a Metal Blade Recs and US 80s PM underrated classic: Attacker - "Battle at Helm's Deep" \m/\m/
