Last night I woke up at 3am cause my period was just starting, and although there wasn't much blood the pain was terrible that I stayed awake till four. I took two ibuprofen and hot water bottles but man! Sometimes it doesn't work. If only I was born a man. 😅

I started my period when I was 11 and it was heavy, at times I wouldn’t have it for months and then I’d be on for 2 weeks, no cramps. At 19, I was diagnosed with PCOS, no big deal. At 33, my period finally regulated itself, coming each month like clockwork, still heavy and now I get severe cramps. I’m 38 now and it’s remained the same. Everyone’s body is different. Hang in there young ladies, your period will change with each phase of your life.

Im 15 and I want a hysterectomy. When I get my period, I throw up, get fatigued, constant nausea and flem build up in my mouth. On top of that I also have menstrual cramps. I am also anemic because of it(* I am tired everyday.) I cant do things for myself most of the time and sleep alot. I dont want to deal with this for the rest of my life. Sometimes it comes back sooner than normal.

Although I'm now post menopausal, I can sympathize with women who have this problem. I was 11.5 years old when my periods started and from day one up until I was 52 when my periods just stopped, I had horribly heavy periods complete with clotting. While most little girls my age would spot a little for 2-3 days and wear a mini-pad, I had to use a super-plus tampon and a super size napkin. Even though I'd change every hour, I'd still sometimes soak through them--it was awful. My parents didn't have great health insurance so I wasn't taken to an OB/GYN but my regular doctor seemed confused as to why I was severely anemic and I was too embarrassed to tell him. It got to the point that I'd wear Depends undergarments to bed because I was up every hour to change if I didn't and I wasn't getting enough sleep. As quickly as my periods started, shortly after my 52nd birthday they just stopped altogether; none of this skipping a period for a month or two then magically getting a period over the next year or two, they just stopped as if someone turned off a faucet. That was seven years ago. I have to say, I'm grateful every day that I don't have periods anymore.

My period is a heavy period all the time, it last for usually 11 days, two cycles a month! I'm so worried about lacking blood.

The more I excercised the less my bleeding became. I think something is very wrong with our food supply and I think a good work out can end heavey bleeding.

When I was 11, I started my period my period would last up to 6/7 days but my periods was always heavy, I'm on my period right now, and it's still sometimes really heavy.

This really gave me comfort my daughter has to see a hematologists for the same reason

Since I started my period. I had very bad cramps, clots and fatigue and fainting spells. My blood levels at times was at a 4 or 5 and I have to take higher iron and eat dark greens and beans and meat. My mood is bad too, I have issues with bad depression and suicide thoughts and crying fits. I also had to deal with bleeding through a large tampon and a pad. It is is hard. I finally had to explain to my husband how I felt, he is so understanding and loving. Girls, you are not alone. I am now waiting for menopause. I can't wait!

my longest was almost 2 months long and i bled and soaked through everything turns out i have a hypothyroid and PCOS. I've managed it pretty well so far and that happened 4 years ago.

I'm 12 I got my period on 11 until now my period last for 2 ,or 3 weeks and it's a lot of blood I don't know how to cure this but at the beginning of my period I used 6 packs of napkins because of heavy bleeding I was so scared and shy because of blood on my pants always that was crying on room . Dude I’m stressing bc I was on my first day it was rlly heavy and I was at my aunts house and she didn’t have any pads and her tampons were to big so I had to bear with a sliver of toilet paper running home in a thunderstorm 10 minutes away from my house and now I’m home with blood everywhere

I got my period when I was 10. Started out normal. I had my first period on the last week of April, then the next as scheduled. It came irregularly ever since and became more heavier every time. I'm on mine rn and it has always lasted for 5 days. I started yesterday.

I've had heavy periods ever since I started my first period. It lasts 5 days and it's consistent but it's heavy for 3 days. Exercise never lessened the flow and my uterus has no structural issues.

exercise causes more blood to come out of me, I can't even stand up sometimes without getting dizzy, my stomach and lower back is constantly hurting and I burn though multiple sanitary products in the span of 3 hours. I'm never hungry, I try eating but it makes me nauseous. but once my period goes away, all is well.

I started bleeding heavier at 16, but it still lasted the same time span (5-6 days).

As a transman, I spent 17 years battling with periods. For the first 16 years, I dealt with heavy bleeding, occasional cramps and bloating with disposable pads being my only option. I switched to inexpensive cloth pads and they worked amazingly well for my periods. I reduced my cycle length in half and went from an 8 day period down to a 4 day period. No cramps. No odors. Easy to launder in the washing machine, and periods like consistency like anything else in life. The pads provided consistency and my body enjoyed it because it was consistent. I recommend cloth pads over disposable products anyday.

I hope this helps. I used to have heavy periods as well, but I actually had a potassium deficiency. Eat 2 or 3 bananas and see if it helps to lighten or stop your cycle if it is too long and heavy.

My period last 30 to 70 days .. it's been like this for 2 years .. I am in constant pain and tired all the time . I have seen many doctors but can't fix it .. I am fed up with my condition.. I cry everyday due to this

My periods are so heavy. Most times, I ruin my underwear and pants. Last year, I went to the gyno and they found no issues. I will go again this year. I have a picture of my soaked pad to show to them for proof.

OMG same i bleed a lot for almost 10 days , but I don’t bleed on my pads that much I bleed in the toilet , and the doctors gave me birth control pill , but that didn’t work , and my blood cause was about 5-6 when it was supposed to be 13 .. I have my period for more than 3 weeks at a time but every doctor keeps telling me its normal or tells me to take birth control. I'm not against taking birth control, I've done it in the past but it still doesn't make me regular and i want to know the root cause before treating anything. But everyone keeps pushing me aside

Hell this is my life story and the doctors still dont know why I will be dead before somebody finds out hell....just losing blood everyday!

I know this is gross but the last 3 months my period has been over 3 weeks and this month out of random I’ve had nothing but blood clots during my period I set down and it’s never ending I’m scared beyond words

I have an IUD and still have problems. I have fibroids and just had a second ultrasound done yesterday. I'm waiting for the results. My blood count was down also. My doctor is keeping an eye on it.

My 13 year old has had her period for almost 6weeks and is anemic. The doctors just prescribed birth control pills to help stop the bleeding. She is taking iron pills in addition to me cooking her iron rich foods and raw juice. I’m praying for relief for her. Kaisers response seems so generic. Going back next week for more blood work. I pray she bounces back so we don’t need to visit the ER. Ugh

I go through 9-12 pads a day it's horrible. I can't even sleep at night. I have to get up every 2 hours and change on my heaviest day.😣 I get so anemic just before my period it's ridiculous. Even just Breathing is a issue. It's horrible.

Hey guys, watch out for K2, I was advised to take K2 because of needing to take Vitamin D pills in the winter. Well, I felt great - UNTILL I got my period. I already have the heavy bleeding, but it usually only lasts 16 hours. This time it lasted for over 24 hours with tons of clotting. I'm pretty sure this was a result of the K2. I stopped it and I will see what happens next month. I have been experiencing this very heavy bleeding for 16 hours on my period and unusually short cycles now since 2008. I need some relief from this. Anyone have more info? And no I'm not going to get thrown onto Birth Control Pills, Depo or anything like that, sorry. We have strokes in my family so no.

Started my period when I was 8 was sick for 2 weeks before it started everyone was shocked and since then I have very heavy flow and very bad cramps plus being very tired and can't sleep till I finish my period I'm 26 now and the doctors said there is nothing I can do about it until I start having kids😔

I was put on birth control after heavy bleeding for 4 weeks but hormones are giving me anxiety. I already had my tubes removed after I had my daughter and to take both control seems stupid.

My periods always skip 2 or 1 month, and when i get it its very heavy.. i also dont eat much meat aka what you need to get iron..

How about a healthy diet stay away from sugar and all processed foods. Also I believe that an ounce of lemon juice with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in two to three cups of water. Drink it through out the day and it hopefully might cut the heavy periods. Hope it helps all you women that are going through this. If you know of any other way please share and keep us updated.

A girl I'm sort of seeing has started her period 2 days early. And is here 2/3rd time seeing her. Before, she didnt have a period for 7 months.
