Heavy Planespotting at Denver{KDEN} - Windshear and Heavy Winds!

This is probably the best video I have gotten from Denver International Airport. There were very high winds(so my audio and tripod movement was quite pitiful), and many aircraft had to go around. The best clips in this video feature a British Airways 747-400, Lufthansa A330-300, and a Southwest 737-700 performing a go around.

Yeah! The Lufthansa 747 was diverted to COS but got diverted back midway.

That thumbnail though. Great viewpoint! Although maybe for stability next time don't move your tripod at all and tighten the pan tension to its maximum, and keep it pointed at the runway (like Cargospotter does with his crosswind videos).

Thanks! My pan tension has two options. The one I used was the looser one, and I only used it to get the shot of the aircraft overhead. I didn't want to sacrifice the overhead shot of the aircraft approaching.

That's true, although maybe you could do a mix of both and cut the clip after the overhead to set it up properly. They're certainly high enough to give you time for that.

That's a great idea! It would've taken me about 5 seconds to set up the tripod, so not much would've been missed.
