This game's inciting incident makes me mad. Why would a kid just leave his dad twice, and then wander outside of the mall across the street, then run back across the street. The car didn't even hit them, it stopped short. Plus Ethan would've taken the majority of the impact if it did hit them. He would've been worst off than the stupid kid.

Agreed. Plus the game says the kid is ten years old. Between the excitement about a balloon and the constant wandering off and absolute disregard for his own life and safety, he acts more like a three year old. Have the developers ever met a ten year old?

I understand every point you've made in your comment, and I side with each thought of yours. I do however, want to point out something about the car accident scene. This most likely won't change your opinions or even give you second thoughts, but perhaps someone else exploring this thread might want to give it a read too. Here's a copy and paste of a reply *that I, myself, commented under another person's thread.* ------------------------------------------------------ I'm actually pretty sure that the original car crash scene for this game was *only*Jason getting hit by the car. Ethan, the dad, wasn't (originally) involved as a victim of the crash. However, I believe the scene was too gory (or something along those lines) to make it into the final product of Heavy Rain. Now regarding the actual scene in the game, I think (it's safe to assume) that Jason was crushed by his dad in the attempt to be saved from the wreck. In other words, like everyone else here in this thread said, it does seem like Ethan put too much physical pressure on Jason (against the road) whilst "tackling/huddling" him down. 08/30/2018

That is a valid point that the dad himself probably did enough damage to Jason to hurt him and probably kill him, but the game just made it seem like the car hit them both, although the therapy session the therapist is saying it's not his fault, even though Ethan says it's completely his fault. So Who knows what really happened

Jason ignores the entire time but then when coming to you means running across the busy street without paying any attention, suddenly he’s like “Oh! I better go to my dad when he calls me! Right away! Not wait for the cars to stop and go to him, just run right over!” And he’s like 8. He’s well old enough to know how to cross the street! And Ethan took the brunt of the accident and was ok, but Jason takes much less of it and dies instantly?! And someone get these boys leashes! Sure, it might seem weird, but they won’t run across busy streets and get hit by cars that stop super quickly yet somehow kill them instantly even though their dad takes the brunt of it and is fine!

HOWEVER, being a daily poster can also cause burnout. So we support you wholeheartedly if you need to take a break or even adjust your schedule so it is still fun and doable. Funnily enough, when I played this game the first time, I was *trying* to do my best and save everyone, but in the end literally everyone died. All the main characters died, the origami killer's victim died, heck - even the origami killer died! Somehow just one mishap near the end of the game spiralled into chaos. After getting the most depressing ending ever, I subsequently loaded back to resolve the mishap, saved everyone and had a very nice ending then never played the game again.

Maybe it's an exploration into the unreliable narrator phenomenon? We are seeing the world through the eyes of Ethan Mars and this is the reality he remembers. I remember reading about his death, it made me cry actual tears. When the we are number one meme was spreading he was diagnosed with cancer and I always hoped he would recover but sadly he didn't 😖😭😭😭

Kevin, you are hands down the funniest gaming youtuber. I used to watch markiplier back before he... changed, and jackscepticeye until I got tired of their shtick. I have been subscribed to you for a while now, and really enjoyed your playthroughs of Detroit and until dawn, as well as your shenanigans on the RP games and VR.
