A tank truck loaded with 45 000 litre of diesel and petrol has gone off the road and flipped on it's side to the ditch. Ramströms, with Theire 6x6 Volvo FL10, has been assigned to permform the heavy recovery operation.
You all probably dont care at all but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost the password. I love any tips you can offer me
I think the Swedes are much more professional than the Americans. Who tend to show the drivers wiping their noses and everything else. At least with the Swedes they seem very efficient and get on with the job. Its too cold for them to stand around talking too much.
Don’t let people like Ron Pratt (or any other towing and recovery operator here in the US)see that or they’ll be absolutely livid, blood boiling, face as red as a tomato, hands clenched into fists about to beat the living daylights out of somebody
In the Netherlands if it start snowing all fuel tankers stop until the roads are clear of snow and ice. Thats why all tankertrailor trucks have small sleepercabs for emergencie overnighting. But thats impossible in scandinavia.
Good job filming. Very impressive wrecker, was it built for Ramstroms or is it a former military wrecker. Do you know what size crane and lift it has thanks
The underreach does not seem to be extended under the axle and chained with “safety chains” to the frame on both sides. This would not be legal in some other areas of the world.
we don't use breakaway chains in Denmark and Sweden (don't know about Norway), but they're also not allowed to tow at motorway speeds - normal truck speed limit is max 80 km/h (50 mph) and the tow speed limit depends on configuration. In general we don't use chains at all for tying things down (not even sure it's legal) because they're far more likely to break than straps. In this case he hooked the underreach to the truck's trailer hitch and while lifting trucks from behind / towing them on their front wheels it's greatly limited how fast they're allowed to go (in Denmark they have to go slow and they're not allowed on the motorway when towing like that). Normally they hook into the airlines as well, so the emergency brakes will engage if it breaks free - when the brakes are not connected, again it's very restricted how fast they're allowed to go.
