I admit I was quick to make that statement, though it doesn't change my stance. I agree that RU-vid is utterly broken and many nice content creators have taken to sponsors, which is completely fine in my book. But can you really blame me? These kinds of sites have earned a really shady reputation, and it didn't help that he didn't claim it as a sponsor. It just came out of the blue and was expecting some sort of parody.
