A couple of years ago,we were staying in the Glaisdale valley and went for a coffee at the Danby Cycle Hub. While we were there , the rain turned to sleet ,turned to snow, turned to a blizzard. However we then had to go to the big supermarket in Whitby, which we very cautiously did. Amazingly in Whitby ,at sea level, everyone had their coats off and were enjoying a lovely Spring afternoon. Two seasons in a few hours. It’s such a magical place. Thank you for all the great memories you show and ideas for new places to visit. Cannot wait to come back.
Absolutely beautiful thank you for the content, I haven't been back to England for many years, but my daughter and I will go eventually to reconnect with my family members, cheers
Great accidental shot of the barn owl, steam trains always look good in the snow. The road that scared me in the snow, was Sleights. The best pub around there (if its still open) is the Birch Hall Inn at Beck Hole.
If you're parked on the brow of a hill then at least you're visible to everyone coming up either side of that hill. Better than being a surprise hidden object to avoid after coming over that brow!
