I had a winter driving scare a few days ago. My company sent me back home empty and I was on the highway headed home and it had started snowing since I got into town. I thought I had slowed down enough, but all of a sudden my empty trailer starts to come around out from behind me. Luckily no one was next to me and I was able to save it and immediately dropped another 10mph and kept it slow. Stay safe in the winter, everyone

Hey Jeff, I just wanted to say thank you for the content you upload. To be honest, these past couple of months have been really bad for me as my mental health has declined significantly. I tend to go on drives a lot as a “therapy” I guess you could say, and while driving I obviously see a lot of semi trucks on the interstate. Seeing them reminded me of your American truck simulator videos and I decided to check them out again. I’ve also been watching your other videos, especially your fivepd ones. Anyways what I’m saying is that they’ve really been helping me through this time. Your fivepd videos have given me something to enjoy and laugh at all the funny moments which I haven’t been able to do with other channels (Or anything even outside of RU-vid for that matter). And your ats videos have helped me just relax and not focus on some things that have made me depressed. So again, thank you so much for what you do. You’re doing more than you could ever know.

they should do a weather DLC. Snow, heavy rain (causing ponding on the roads), wind, and even overheating your truck. Would be cool to have some advanced things.

The frosty mod is great, especially with the accompanied mods that go with it. My lower end laptop is even able to run it, highly recommend haha

Hey jeff this week was very stressful for me. I live in michigan and one of my dearest friends were effected in the oxford high school shooting. And even my school isnt going back until tuesday because of threats but your videos always find a way to cheer me up

The box of snacks is definitely appreciated by us delivery drivers, and I wish more people would listen to your advice about being chill. People being condescending and extra through the pandemic is partially why I'm getting out of the package delivering racket haha.

So funny Jeff, Yesterday i was watching you play the new Canada update and you told about the snow that everybody would like to see and that you would do it in december. And i wake up and i see a video with snow. Thanks man happy days peace from the Netherlands.

I was just going down the mountain in Bellingham in my Peterbilt with a load of logs and the frosty and physics mods, also in heavy snow. I came to that outward U-curve a quarter of the way down and flew off the side of the mountain, only going 4mph. When you say you can't stop, you REALLY mean it. Haha. Should've listened to you, Jeff.

I'm a fan of Riding With Dave, I have been watching him for a couple of years now.

The detail and accuracy of this Wyoming map is so awesome! So great to see my state in a video game!! If only we were getting snow here in Cheyenne. It was 70 here this week. So crazy for us. No real snow storms in town yet this year. The heavy snow mod certainly brings back some memories of driving a box truck across that same stretch of I-80 in some awful storms.

It’s been surprisingly warm the past couple days out here, the snow is coming soon enough though. Jeff, I only recently saw your RV video from Jackson to Yellowstone but if you ever do make a trip out here my uncle has a herd of buffalo on his ranch in Douglas, Wyoming. And flies an old Cessna 182 off a pasture near the log house he built. You’d be welcome to check it out if you’re out this way sometime

lots of my fellow truckers quit because of the covid mandate.....i use to drive until i got hurt in the army in iraq but i sure do miss it and you doing these vids gives me comfort and joy... love ya man keep being who you are

Hey Jeff! Don't usually comment but I've been driving for a few months, 5th generation driver. My teammate who's been driving 18 years wanted me to tell you that setup and back was text book. Wish every receiver had that much space. Love the content man keep it up

Great video. I love the winter mod and the additional mods to enhance the realism. Thanks for showing your mods and how they are placed. I noticed that how the mods are placed can have an effect on the graphics; this should help out,. Thank you Sir.

So many good memories driving with CFI back in the day. I loved my little T600 and the T2000 wasn't bad either.

I'm only 19. I just started truck driving this year and only have about 4 months experience. This is my first winter so I'm alittle nervouss. After watching this video I learned alittle bit about it lol. Iowa has pretty bad winters so we'll see how I do.

The Petro you stopped at in Laramie is great. Believe it or not that one usually has parking late at night because a lot of people see the first few rows full and all the lazy guys making their own spots near the main store and don't bother checking the back row by the service shop. Shop there is awesome too, they've done several of my annual truck inspections & a couple of my oil changes too. (I try to stay above 50 gal diesel in winter unless I'm headed for home and I fill the DEF tank every chance I get because often you'll find your fuel stop has had their DEF system knocked out by the cold and drivers not closing the DEF covers after they fill up.)

I get my mentor on 12/06 with CR England. I tried to get with CFI because of Dave when England turned me down 3x. I just could not get a call back when the recruiter called while I was sleeping. Speaking of Amazon Delivery drivers when I worked there I appreciated the snacks and stuff people left out. I just never took any because I didn't feel right doing it. It was better feeling than the people who let their dogs out as you are walking up the driveway.

I hear you about the cold up north. I left a company to come to Florida and I was an on site equipment mechanic that was not fun in snow and ice. Came to Florida quite happy to not see snow ever again. An eight to ten hour shift in cold and snow is awful

Hi Jeff great video as always, just wanted to point out to you that when you were reading off the fuel left in the tank you were looking at the wrong gauge, that would be the DEF tank gauge, the fuel gauge would be the one in between the RPM and Speedometer gauges =)

I haven't had too many wintery shenanigans. Bit of ice and snow between Drummond & Missoula just before Thanksgiving and then since then the wind has been the only real issue around Big Timber, Wheatland, & Chugwater.

I say the cold is better than the heat only because in the hottest of hot vs the coldest of cold, you can always add layers but you can only take so many layers off. Heat is nice but I think I like living in the cold more. Hunting and ice fishing! Lol

I heard that there's a lot of high wind warnings for the plains states coming up. The wind gusts are supposed to get up to 80 mph wind gusts in some towns.

Don't know about you, but in games like this, when I drive on snowy/icy roads in my truck, I turn on my caution lights. (just in case)

I follow Riding with Dave and I thought it would be nice to see his camping/off road videos. I like this game and ETS2, spent many hours driving while I was laid off for 20 months. Now I back to work so no more driving to early morning. :)

Not only do I want SCS to give us seasons in ATS as an expansion pack but I want changes to road surface conditions and a decrease in traction based on your tractor and trailer weights on the road you are driving on during inclement weather conditions. I'd also want wind to be a factor. Especially with a Wyoming mod. Trust me, there is nothing scarier than driving in high winds in Wyoming with a empty, or light, trailer.
