One of the best jobs I’ve ever had. Better than a package handler and the pay is better than I could have imagined for only my 40 a week. I will say finding a decent company is tricky. I left 2 selecting jobs because most companies don’t care! I start at Albertsons/safeway next week so wish me luck!
Thats me on the video. I'm a lift operator so that day I was mad that I had to select. I'm not sure, but I think that day we had to select because selectors were on a strike and they clocked out. Anyways, for the ones hating, I was running a 120% as a lift operator so me walking for this assignment wasn't going to impact my incentive. At HEB you earn to become a lift operator. Everybody starts as a selector! Except for the ones who have bruised up knees 😏🍆
Hey i work at spartan nash. Our guys usually call in a lot. 8 people call in sick on a Sunday? Really? They are all sick? Okay...it just gets to be much when the selectors dont show up or show up late
I used to work there I was always a one man show never lick no ones ass. Saved my bread got my cdl and now I work for heb driving from Houston to San Antonio making 80k a year easy money 💰
@Donkiko-bz1lv Can you share more info about the transportation side with HEB? I live up in DFW Metroplex and I actually did an online interview today just to get my foot in the door with a store since I have 17 yrs experience working in Grocery. However, I've been thinking about switching gears and going a different direction and looking into a CDL.
I thought that jack was driving itself for a sec 😂😂 also, you scan the slot for every pick? We use scanners at my location and 90percent of the time we have to scan the case
Some distribution centres out there have the same centre rider pallet jacks like this one, only they are equipped with a quick pick remote system. Those can be used in the freezer and they are as handy as all hell. Kind of depends on the distribution centre itself though. I’ve heard some Walmarts have them for sure depending on the location.
I can't walk and select,I have to run the whole shift,I don't settle for the minimum, they paying you $40 a hour without a degree hell yeah I'm going for it
@Darius Scott my company starts you off at $27.50 for dry side. Produce at 31.25 gets started off around. I know freezer gets the most starting out around $33 an hr, but screw that
Hated all my other jobs but with this job i actually enjoy going to work lol used to have to work like 50 hour weeks juss to make $500 now I’m barley working 30 hours an im making $650 a week
@@rayrayballer1exactly bruh everyone says that dumb ass line but with no pun. “Always work smarter, not harder 🤓” oh really, you got any suggestions? Like come on
@@BKThaGod5 find yo purpose, use your mind. Invest, get a LLC. make your money work for you. It’s all about making more in less time. Our time too valuable for these greedy companies that don’t value you. Jobs like these you gotta basically live there & beat yo body to the ground consistently to make a lil bread. It don’t add up. Passive income is where it’s at, do some research. I selected for HEB & Sysco. I’m not just saying this just cause. I know for a fact. Use the internet to your advantage & research. Learn how money works if you want more out of life than spending 90% of your time punching the clock for somebody else.
I feel like working at warehouses you have to have thick skin. Cause there's always people that may talk shit lol But at the same time sometimes warehouses can be laid-back when you work with people that are funny and stuff.
@FreezerKingz yeah we have a different section for ice cream. The freezer crew does ice cream. They have those blue totes. Freezer crew gets even other weekend off.
@FreezerKingz if you're on the freezer crew, you look at the schedule for the week. If you're in "blue" that day you know you're in ice cream. If you're in white you know you're straight up freezer.
you don’t have to run or sprint to get to your orders on your stickers. you can walk (faster than normal but not speed walking) and still have more than 100%. the main thing i learned is being extremely fast isn’t the key, it’s being efficient!
job is not that bad after the first month and 2 i feel like getting through the day is not hard it’s just being tired after especially if you got an early shift
@@FreezerKingz Dang what company you working for? My warehouse we start at 9:20AM and usually get out at 3:30-5:00PM wish 2-3 hour breaks in between 😂🤦♂️
Yes sometimes we help each other out at then end of shift then we all go home I had like 100pcs. Left to pick and I wore the head set drive ahead with my machine while 2 others followed me with a machine and 2 skids all I had to do was drive ahead and pick set everything in the floor in front of each product
@@FreezerKingz nice one I appreciate any tips or tricks because I have done many jobs before mostly concrete roofing residential tree removal and also I worked in palletizing in a factory but there it's easy to stack the boxes because they are all the same size that makes good sense man imma try that I got work again Wednesday long boxes in the back and small in the middle. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
At my warehouse the few women there are literally some of the top selectors there. Pulling in about 100k but they serious bout it. They don't come to play, they come to make men feel like little boys when they pass them twice showing they at least a trip ahead.
Any man or woman can do this, just gotta a have a little speed on you. Nothing too heavy to lift. Now as far as height goes, that's another story cause some orders do require you stack taller
