@@joojoobawdid you not hear the earlier part of the interview where he was saying how the iraq war was started over completely made up lies that they had WMDs? How would you like it if someone invaded your home in an illegal war where they were calling you “radical terrorists” because you didn’t wanna let them genocide your people and fought back? I bet you’d think it was really stupid to claim you were radical or a terrorist, you should try not believing everything the media tells you and also try thinking of Muslims as human beings and not all “radicals” just because they don’t want to lay down and let their country be invaded & controlled by America
As a marine veteran I know you don’t ask that question.. BUT knowing hector im sure Vlad and hector talked before the interview discussing what to bring up and not to bring up. Someone that has a confirmed kill that can discuss it is very tough. Obviously in the right circumstances no negligence
Of course they did lol and Bravo talked about it before himself which is how Vlad even knew to ask about these events. Same goes for the Nicholas Irving interviews - the man wrote books about his experiences. It’s not a hard & fast permanent rule to NEVER ask ANY veteran about war, it’s always some exceptions. My grandfather loved to talk to about his time in Korea 🤷🏽♂️
@@joojoobaw I’ve heard about Some veterans that love to share their experiences because that can also be a way of accepting and coping with the past instead of keep it bottled in. I commented because I see some people that are just ignorant and never served a day in the armed forces but all of a sudden can be experts when someone else shares their experiences.
@@toerawyeakeyboard Jew? Your a racist piece of shit. Vlad is some rich keyboard warrior who’s insecure about his manhood BUT his job is to ask questions. Hector would have told him if he didn’t want to answer questions before hand
That’s a general rule for veterans you randomly meet in public, family members etc. Not for guys who talk about it on their own channel that you’re interviewing.
You always remember trauma step by step especially violent trauma where your life is on the line. Everything is super vivid and everything slows down into slow motion
Many people on here haven't watched Veteran Pod Casts and it shows. There are plenty of Combat Veterans out there who want to share their stories. Good or Bad.
Vlad, I mean this with the most respect but you should never ask a veteran if theyve killed anyone. I learned the hard way when I was young and dumb and ended up finding out it's extremely rude man.
If you went to war and thought u did the right thing, then theres no reason to hide or stay silent about it. How would we know whats going on if people dont ask and get answers? If you feel bad for killing someone, then dont join the army!
He shook your hand because he is a Muslim. A religious Muslim a real muslim will forgive you for doing wrong to them. In particular when you made a mistake , was forced or didn’t know any better. There are videos of Muslims forgiveing men who killed their kids in courtroom. Not just muslims btw. Real Christian’s and possibly even real Jews seeing as both religions are branches of Judaism . Someone needed to see this. Me? I forgive them. I forgive them all. But it’s me I’m having a hard time forgiving. I hurt me also. But one day. What about you ?
You can plainly see that he's still hurting behind what happened, why press on, and not immediately change your line of questioning? A soldier's mindset, is completely different from a predatory criminal's mindset when it comes to real violence. Soldiers and Marines are mostly good people, with good intentions. Killing always feels dirty. When you know that someone is a combat veteran, you can ask generic questions, but never ask about the violence. If they want to tell you about something, they will. If they don't, respect that. They carry that internal trauma for life. Do not badger them about things that are none of your business. He, without a doubt, was in a bad place in his head for hours, if not days after that interview. Be kind, hang on to your humanity stronger than you grasp at views.
@@BIGDAWG1312 I meant to say just because you have an interesting STORY. It means this guys lived an interesting life but the way he tells it isn’t interesting
He knows darn well he shot an innocent man in the back. They turned around because they feared the conquerors army ahead of them. That’s why he’s talking about hell, that man didn’t deserve that.
This is one of the reasons that I believe men are not suited for war. We are too conscious. I’ve never heard of an animal in the wild killing something and crying about it afterwards. Humans, however, do. Sometimes. I’m not saying that I disagree with those that serve, I’m just saying that it’s not something humans are equip to deal with. I worked with a man that was in the military for a decade and served in Iraq. He was only in his early 30’s at the time. He showed me a picture one day of 9 of his friends, all were dead. I asked what his thoughts on the war were in hindsight and he said, “I regret it. I was fighting for nothing.”
@BigFactz66 there’s always someone like u who pipes up with bs hypotheticals and outliers u know nothing about. Even the smallest dog will never get ptsd from killing an animal. I’ve seen plenty of other vets who were tough as nails get ptsd.
Yea u was ok with it u shot from 200 feet plus away asked could you shoot warning shots had a bet for $20 see who get the 1st kill somebody bet on you stop the cap
So you killed him for running. I’m also an Iraq vet. I can tell you now that his type is not uncommon. The type that looked at Iraqis as less than human. Yall may not recognize it but I do as a veteran with his story. The fake remorse is sickening
Sadam was evil. He had sex palaces where they would rape women, if they saw a hot woman they would take her by force and have there way w her. They tied people upside down from the ceiling and left them hanging for weeks and when they would walk by them they would beat and kick them. Sadam was pure evil!

They always use God's name as an excuse for war. God's on everyone's side when it comes to war I guess 🤷🏽♂️ Instead, be real with yourself and simply say it for what it is
Be not deceived, dear friend. One must possess qualities that justify continued existence, as life's end is not entirely unpredictable. For the wages of sin is death... God alone has the authority to choose the fate of life and death.
@@HennesseeVol He’s talking about it like he never wanted to have to kill anybody, why join into a literal warzone then? Isn’t that expected? At least Irving admits that he was down to kill their “enemies” for a long time until his mind changed later on
Frank, it's kinda f-*Ked up & rude to join the army(for no good reason) and kill people on the other side of the planet. "I was serving my country and fighting for your freedom" 🍞
