I started my day stressed about all the crap going on in my life, then I hear this man’s story and those words “it’s alright” when he’s at the end of the road in a life 100x worse than mine and suddenly things get perspective. It really could be worse
I don’t comment on RU-vid videos much. But I really want to come here and thank you for this incredible video. So well curated and love that you provided some links to incredibly useful wakingup clips thank you and please continue to do great work.
Thank you, I am so grateful for a teacher like you. I honestly believe your course should be taught in school. You literally just saved me from a downward spiral. I was about to lay in bed and give into it before I clicked on this video. Thank you
Wow, this is an amazing video, I really like this direction, You seem happy, doing this, I’m looking forward to more, It’s so valuable! I’ve been following You for years, this is such a nice direction! All the best! 🙏🏻✨🕊️
I did grow up poor And I did go to culinary school, and am in the Army so I know what eating mud in the field is like One thing I learned is not to lose my wonder and enjoyment of things I like I like the salad I make myself every day I like the eggs I cook for myself I like sharing oat meal with my son
Take an inventory of what you see as luxury (we each have our own definition) Once you've had that list. Go and find out how much each thing costs. Somethings will cost monthly and others won't. Then add them all up and you'll have your total amount of how much your personal luxury life may come to. You'll quickly see that luxury isn't always massively expensive stuff.
I'm going to make a statement , I generally don't talk about religion on such kind of videos , but honestly I'd like to tell the people about Islam , Islam teaches us to be grateful to your creator no matter your situation , the Quran starts with the word " Alhamdulillah " which means all praise be to one God I.e Allah & by practicing Islam the way Quran preaches us to any man can achieve true happiness.
Happiness is a state of mind. Just like your weight is a state of being. Serve God above all else and you will be satisfied. Which is far better than happiness. Give Him your gratitude.
Some of this stuff is just actively living in denial, though. We want things for good reasons. Denying those wants is unhealthy. Other parts of the video are good, though, like remembering how it could be worse.
I don't know if I would say this video is directly charisma related, but I absolutely loved it and would love it if you guys put out more content like this. This echo's a lot of what I've learned from listening to the podcast over the past few years and my life is dramatically better for it. I'm so grateful for you both
@@Werdxp I agree with that, this just isn't the advice you'd expect if you were asking for charisma tips. I don't know if someone who isn't familiar with this channel would make that connection or not.
Hey, Charisma on Command! I've been watching your videos for several years, and this is by far one of my favorite videos I've ever seen from you guys. Thank you for this, keep it up! 💛
How can we deal with muzlams when they come to us bully us by saying *"accept ezlame otherwise you will go to hell"* ... How can we respond to diffuse the situation?
Money can in fact make you happy, but not in the way most people generally think. Sure you can have what ever you want by having money. But true happiness comes from being “outrageously generous” - Dave Ramsay. To be able to use your money to help others in need, to use your money for purposes outside of yourself, THAT is what make you happy when it comes to money.
Good job! And it is work. I'm so happy for you! Recovery is quite an accomplishment not often understood by people who've never struggled with sobriety! (Applause) Congratulations! Keep it going!
My source of unhappiness is the fact that I'm really talented at a lot of things but in the moment I judge myself very harshly and don't appreciate what I achieved. And the fact that I waste my life being too scared to make a step forward on my own, get to know other people/a romantic partner
Every sentence kept hitting me and hitting me and kept going. This video was so needed I can't put it into words. I'll share this with everyone I know, amazing information into a 10 minute video.
I would say that I'm a happy person in my life, I do get unhappy days too but from my experience I would give some advice: - First, having bad days/luck is okay, you can't always have a good day and that's life ! As long as you don't block on this - Second, appreciating every small moment of happiness and not looking for being super duper happy because there's small moments of life like that - Lastly, being in peace with yourself give you less stress, less envy toward others I know it may not be easy for everyone but I think it's a mindset that help in life. You only have one life, we should live it the way we want
I wanna mention some of the general, foundational rocks, too: - get good sleep - eat healthy - exercise You could easily add, - read books - be social - smile a bunch - use big, positive, happy body language - find a healthy stress outlet - create things (even something like sketches or Lego structures) There are tons of other tools you can use to increase happiness. Here are just a handful.
I’ve never received a free trial that was a LEGIT free offer before. No CC # needed or anything. Good on ya! I’ll watch your channel religiously now because frankly it’s easier to listen to and trust what you’re saying because of the seemingly little thing.
I’ve been watching each video of this channel since 2016, and this video was special. So helpful and exactly what I needed right now. You really went above and beyond referencing the non-sponsored app, and the RU-vid channels (like invisible people). Thanks for the video
These tips are great, but need to be followed up with action. Ask a friend you haven't talked to in some time out for a beer. And then do that every day. Talk to people and appreciate them!
This is one of the very best inspirational videos I have ever seen! I believe it fully encompasses why life is best when you’re grateful for what you have, and not resentful for what you don’t. Life is best lived with your glass half full instead of half empty.
Accepting death when I found out I had a disease made me the happiest I've ever been in my life. I took inventory of everything that I had and was blown away by how successful I was in life.
What do you think is the right way to deal with that friend in a friend group who is selfish and narcissistic but acts naive and innocent while using you.The problem is that you can't even distance yourself from him because everyone else in your friend group is so loving and kind and tolerates that person.
I think the most important part of this video is thankfulness. We do not realize how lucky/blessed we are. Things can always be worse. There are other excellent points in this video, and I plan on sharing it with others, but there are always people in worse situations that can be happy just knowing that it can be worse still.
there's a quote i heard somewhere. -we must not think in reverse, nor forward in fear but around us in awareness a quote that you should not think to mich about the oast since it has already happened
I read the story about the Chinese farmer some 10+ years ago, and simple as it is, it completely changed my life view. Basically ever since, whenever I start judging something that happens as “bad”, I just remember not to judge it because every bad thing is gonna lead to a good thing, that will lead to a bad thing, that will lead to a good thing..and so on. In short, there’s no reason to judge it as we can’t know the future. Best to just move on and see what happens
My big mental check on myself when I am getting in those moods...when I get water from the fridge. As I watch my glass fill with pure, crystal clear, and near ice cold water I think to myself "There are literally millions of people in the world who don't even know what it's like to be able to do this whenever they want. They likely have never had ice cold and completely pure water before. They don't even know they want this ability......"
A friend used to say that if you feel yourself falling into unhappiness because of your circumstances, even dire ones, visit a pediatric burn ward and realize the waiting room is filled with people who would change places with you in a heartbeat.
I have experienced the rut first hand, and somehow managed to got out of it. The video explains the feeling aptly, and I don't even know that there's a scientific name for the feeling I had. I did not have a 10-minutes video last time, but I hope this would help others at least know that they are not alone, and there is a way out.
I love this channel, it is both informative and plain entertaining. I have an idea for you - charisma breakdown of one of the most charismatic badguys of the last years, possibly decades or - what the hell - EVER. Eduardo "Lalo" Salamanca. Ever since he appeared in Better Call Saul he quickly took over, would love to see an analysis of him. :D
When I was a kid around ten I worked out a list of what I considered at the time to be "legitimate" reasons for unhappiness. The reasons are vague and they overlap, but this is what I came up with: You're expectations are not being met. You are not being taken into consideration. Hostile forces are thwarting your goals (as opposed to bad luck or incompetence).
I'm so ashamed to admit how depressed and negative I am, when I live a very privileged life. I'm not rich, I'm not in a relationship, the world doesn't know my name, and none of that matters. Thank you God for where I'm at in life, for all of my blessings and for all of my struggles, in Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
The poor fellow at 5:15. On one hand, so sad. On the other hand, 200,000 views and counting, of him still inspiring people from beyond the grave. Sometimes, one's true purpose is after death.
it’s amazing how coaches and psychologist and mentors will say point out just how absolutely essential a grateful mindset is to happiness. How important it is for you to spend time every single day being grateful for what you have. Yet they almost never mention WHO it is, you’re supposed to be grateful TO for all the good things you have. his name is Jesus. The word Word of God in human flesh.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. - 1 Timothy 6:6-8 KJV
