Hi everyone, just wanted to present my way of connecting electronics inside T2 Cruza.
Not suggesting it’s the best, but works for me and everything is connected with connectors, no direct soldering of components so it’s easy to modify or move components between builds.
The idea was to modify the original T2 components as little as possible and to be able to remove the wings, spars or tail without disconnecting anything.
The FC is Speedybee F405 Wing, I have used it a lot, I have it currently in my T1, T2 and Atomrc Dolphin and made a few other planes for my friends with it. It’s mounted to the T2 PDB with double-sided 3M tape and I have put a zip tie around FC and PDB just in case.
FC is oriented front to back, there is enough room and the spars can be easily removed so wings can be detached.
USB port is just taped to the side with the same 3M tape.
GPS is the back half of the lid in the place designed for GPS, it’s a very snug fit so no glue needed.
DJI Vista is connected to FC with he cable that came with FC and routed under the battery tray.
RadioMaster RP3 ELRS receiver is to the back in the vent, it’s small and fits great there.
Rudder and elevon servos are connected using original cables to FC and powered by FC.
I have soldered the XT60 connector to ESC pads on FC and connected the PDB to it using the PDB XT60 cable.
The only modification was done to the two cables from PDB for ESC and elevon connections. I have removed the red wire do 5V from PDB would not go to FC and split the ESC and Servo signal wires to a separate 3pin Dupont connectors. That is the only modification of the T2.
The whole setup was done in less than half an hour.
