I love that it doesn't have a name, it should, the small version is one of the first "cool" moves so many people learn! Use your platform to name it something completely disproportionate to how easy it is, like split pivot blaster xtreme lol.

I just did this yesterday before having watched your video. Thanks!! Now I know where to put my weight and that I need to use the inside edge! I'll try this. I had my weight on the outside leg and that made my heel on the left travel like crazy!

I believe it’s called the “Compass Pivot.” I found it on another skate tutorial.

You're such a great instructor! Thank you for all your uploads. I have a question: Do you have tips to fast break when going fast in both directions, forward and backwards? As soon as I start going fast I get scared to break fast in either direction, so I simply avoid it and just slow down my speed.

Oooh I usually bend my knee but I like how it looks with both legs straight. Also, what bearings do you use? Your wheels look like they spin endlessly when they're not on the ground!

I’m also in the “found this by accident and having a lot of fun with it” school like others in the comment thread. The “cousin” to this seems to be the one where you’re going backwards but pivot off your toe. Does that have a name or a “that Nicole Fiore” tutorial?
