There is a reason for that. The Park is Family owned and they try to avoid having to take big loans for investments, they try to save up for their investments and pay for it out of their own pockets. If they have to decide between investing into rides or their animals, they will always prefer the animals, so money will always go their first. When Heiße Fahrt opened they anticipated that it would bring them more visitors then it ended up doing, thus slowing down the rest of the plan. When the flume ride opened it was the tallest and steepest flume drop in Germany, but Chiapas at Phantasialand took that from them, taking away a really good marketing piece. The new Darkride then wasn´t part of the original plan, both the original Volcano idea and for a long time the castle where planned to get a themed event restaurant, personally I think going with the Darkride was the better choice.

Oh wow, it felt plenty fast for me.

Joker at Six Flags Mexico has a somewhat similar layout with spinning cars.

My biggest issue with Gerstlaurer is how some rides have a rattle.

That one is great too.

I wish that water ride was better too.
