Know the feeling I was stationed with the 178th signal company 43 brigade 5th signal corp 1978-1981. 32f10 Fixed ciphony repairman. (Secure phone) Looks like The comm center was just torn down. as well the gym, bowling alley, and bx all were across the road. My barrack is still there across the street from the main entrance next to the building with the Foodland. Our building had a laundromat in the basement. Brings back memories. Good times. I worked on Campbell as a DoD civvie in 2013 when the garrison shut down and USAREUR moved to Wiesbaden. Nobody wanted to go to Wiesbaden. lol. It was nice having the Exchange, Commissary, and all the on-post amenities to ourselves though. It was like a ghost-town for several years.
