If he didn't abdicate, they would have killed the kaiser, since I read that there was already a revolution and some guys forced him to abdicate since the people already lost faith in him
Not necessarily. The Crown Prince was ready to march back to Germany to put down the revolt but the Kaiser told him not to because Prince Max basically betrayed the Kaiser and announced his abdication without his permission. This put him in a terrible position and like you say basically forced him to abdicate as he wanted to do what he thought was the best for his country. He put his country first and therefore abdicated the throne to avoid a civil war. With the benefit of hindsight, I think Germany would've likely been better off in the long run had they marched back to Berlin and put the revolt down as there was basically a civil war anyway and the Nazis eventually came to power. @@ChadEmperor1871

@@BorchikYes actually, the empire wasn’t, absolutely shady, they did some stuff that was bad for the time, but a lot of what they did was just run of the mill, it ain’t personal kinda stuff. Of course nowadays that isn’t how it’s seen, but hey, genocide in the 1900’s isn’t bad when viewing history

I didn't know I needed this but I do the German blood in me and my German ancestors are whispering in my ear telling me to take back alsace-lorraine and East Prussia für das Vaterland
Now that you're Talking about 15% In Fact in Early 1914 the Poverty in the German Empire was About 13%-15% around the Population which was VERY Impressive during that Time.
