Hello! As far as i know was "Heil dir im Siegerkranz" the Anthem of the German Empire, The Prussian Anthem was "Ich bin ein Preuße, Kennt ihr meine Farben?"
No no, you were kind of right: "Heil dir im Siegerkranz" was the "Volkshymne" of Prussia (meaning sth like "people’s anthem") and became the "Kaiserhymne" (imperial anthem) when the German Empire was created, but it never was a real "national anthem" (but they used it as if it was anyway). The "Preußenlied" however was actually kind of the national anthem of Prussia :)
Yes, "Heil dir im Siegerkranz" was the anthem of both Prussia and the German Empire up until 1918 when Kaiser Wilhelm II was abdicated, where this anthem was replaced with "Das Lied der Deutschen" or "The Song of the Germans".

(This is what some people, including you, call Preußenlied, as this was its opening lyrics)", was considered to be the Kingdom of Prussia's national anthem from 1830 to 1840. This anthem was then considered to have been replaced by Heil dir im Siegerkranz in 1840, or "Hail to Thee in the Victor's Crown". After Germany unified in 1871, Heil dir im Siegerkranz remained the unofficial anthem of the German Empire up until 1918.
