I have a disease which causes my nerves to overfire, and its extremely hard to deal with. Heilung is the only thing I've ever found, other than heavy meds, that ease this condition. I like the small changes since LIFA, Maria's solo is as good (even better at points) than LIFA's recording like the continued singing into the final part.
I was at the show in Portland in 2022. These videos don't capture the intensity of this song or the way Maria resonates your face off with her voice. I couldn't figure out if I'd walked into the Temple of Doom or I was being carried off to Valhalla by a Valkyrie. Either way it's a moment I won't soon forget....

I totally agree with the phone thing just put it down and immerse yourself in the music. You can capture the pictures in your head. Saw them in Dublin yesterday I find it difficult to express in wordswhat a amazing experience it was .
While grateful for the footage, I can't even imagine the force of will it must take to record a ritual you're a part of. No judgement here though, that is up to the gods. Either way, Heilung concerts are like spiritual odysseys, it's not them playing, it's a joint conjuration of a state of mind.

Still not keen on the prancing handmaidens background singers, not sure why they have been added? Doesn't add to the stage presence, especially as they are in Grecian type dress and not the Bronze Age Proto-Germanic and ancient Norse inspired dress of the main band members...
Because they need backup singers? it is not meant to be historically accurate anyway, and their performances since LIFA had not been as solemn. But I get what you mean, sometimes their dancing can be distracting lol like in Anoana, but not for Hamrer.
