Fun fact: Jim Butcher used the same name for a big-bad necromancer that was primarily responsible for World War One and who had a band of disciples that kept roaming around the world. Gotta love Dresden Files. Loving the style of videos here Arch, the slightly relaxed tone and your interpretations are always good for a laugh.

I've heard some people say it wasn't the chaos gods that guided Kemmler, it was Nagash (as Krell was a chaos champion in life, and a servant of Nagash in death, both deaths), just giving my two cents on that.

I rather like that some of his historical data is messed up. It gives the feeling that something very strange happened involving him. Very strange indeed. I still have the more recent WD where he appears. They glued the spines in with pritt stick for a while back then. Thing's falling to pieces.

This is/was very brave of you to create as Heinrich Kemmler is one of the most difficult characters to locate the history of. Although I strongly disagree with your views regarding Kemmler's history (what Kemmler's life and unlife was), I must praise your courage in trying to record and display that which you currently believe. The Vampire bloodline started with a brilliant necromancer named Nagash. The Midnight Court would do well to remember that.

An iconic Character of the Old World who was treated like shit in the end and never got a Black Library novel about him, even though being so well known (wished he got a Warhammer Legends novel). They tried to big up Dieter Helsnicht but he just vanished as soon as he appeared.

He was also in the Gotrek and Felix books in Shamanslayer and Zombieslayer

Heinrich Kemmler doesn't swear to be loyal to the chaos gods, he just swore to destroy in their name. What this means is he swore to kill their enemies and/or kill/destroy for them, that is it. If he doesn't want to do anything for them, he really doesn't have to since by now he's already held up his own end of the bargain. Speaking of that, Kemmler snuck into the Athel Loren in the summer, when the Elves were at the height of their power. He managed to elude them until he made it into the barrows, then he hid for several months, becoming attuned to the magic in the barrows until he raised up a massive army and became a necromancer second only to Nagash (in the tabletop game this was represented by him getting a ridiculous power boost as well as his own spell lore only he could use). EDIT: Woah you screwed up badly. Kemmler invaded Athel Loren once (not twice as you seem to think), when he went for the Cairns. He did this after Tancred, and he fucked over the Wood Elves who were NOT ready for him since he attacked in the middle of winter and he nearly succeeded in wiping them out since they were so unprepared.

Zombieslayer by Nathan Long was allright. There did Kemmler tried to rise undead, but one slayer cause some problems. That was before thies AoS thing

Kemmler obviously identifies as a Skaven.

Him and Krell was also the main villains of the Gotrek and Felix book Zombieslayer. Which as far as i know was the very last of the Gotrek and Felix storyline books (there where others but they were more side stories/spin offs) and ended on a cliff hanger.

Kemmler is like a cartoon supervillian trying to time after time geg his hands on that abbey with warying hijinks only for his plans be foiled by some meddling knights

For though's who don't know Heinrich kemmler appeared in the Gotrek and Felix novel zombie slayer as the main villain witch was before that series "that should not be named" and krell also appeared in the same book riding a zombie wyvern to fight Gotrek through out the novel. I'm sad you didn't mention this novel as it was may first and favorite of the Gotrek and Felix series

Hey Arch, why are you making so few videos lately and what happened to the knightly order series? I really enjoy watching your videos, but the frequency and the lack of order in it lately gives the impression as if you lost some of your motivation. I really liked your facction-lore series in which you talked systematically thorugh each and every major unit and faction and I would love to have you walk us through all of the lore bit by bit and not just some random part at a time.

I wish they had expanded more on the good old necromancer before taking a dump on the entire Fantasy universe. One of the trolliest characters in Warhammer, really missed him, Zacharias the Everliving and Melkhior (was that his name? Zacharias master that is?) before they essentially said all vampires are now Von Carsteins.

so basically to teach the wood elves a lesion once and for all about there eco terrorism ways and for betalonnia and the empire to finaly be rid of the basterds is to wait till winter time and try to hunt them down and wipe them out in the snow? I like that idea hard part would be to try and pull it off though but if you can do it then that is that and betalonia will have a lot of good quality wood to work with. :D not to mention the empire as well. :D

Well kemmler won't be rucking with the Wood Elves in the foreseeable future, it could have been one of his quests but the lack of Athel Loren screws that idea!

It seems you just can't read an elven calendar. Bretonnian, Asrai and VC books all point to 2491(Age 6, year 488 for the wood elves, year 1513 for Bretonnia) for the Winter of Woe and the battle of La Maisontaal.
