P.J. Fetscher is the sole proprietor of The Evolution of Tables, Inc. His company salvages storm damaged and hazardous logs to mill them into usable lumber for local woodworkers. He builds custom furniture from his own stash of wood and offers milling services to others who might have their own logs. Rooted in sustainability from his background as an Environmental Science teacher while having a lifelong respect for trees, he understands the importance of keeping things local. Resisting the temptation to expand he simply trains any potential employees to start their own operations in neighboring cities so that no matter where you are, a friendly sawyer is just around the corner.
P.J. Fetcher is an unlikely find amongst the urban sprawl of the greater Miami/Fort Lauderdale area, a modern sawyer who retails and creates with locally felled species of common and exotic woods. As an educator, family man, and generous member of his local community, P.J. isn’t just pulling up roots, he’s putting them down.
