This time, I attempted to translate and sing the song "Hey Slavs" in Interslavic. "Hey Slavs", originally titled "Hey, Slovaks", is a Slavic patriotic song/anthem, which was later adopted and served as the national anthem of Jugoslavija. Nowadays it is regarded as one of the pan-Slavic symbolic anthems... and yet I could not find any Interslavic translation of this song on the Internet. So I thought, why not do it by myself? The lyrics are neither a literal translation of the original Slovak version, nor that of the Jugoslav anthem, but a balanced combination of the two (it is translated to include all Slavs in the current state of the world, and also to be easily intelligible to all Slavic language speakers). Lastly, I am not a singer but a mere hobbyist, who has no proper equipment to record my voice (I used the built-in microphone of my MacBook), so I beg you to kindly excuse the audio quality and my singing skills.
*the IPA transcription shown in the video is a mere example of how one can pronounce the lyrics. Interslavic does not have a singular "correct" pronunciation, so it is not absolute. The letter "y"/"ы" is more commonly realised as /ɪ/ rather than /ɨ/, but I generally pronounce it as /ɨ/ due to my Russian/Belarusian/Polish-like favourisation.
