Today we start a new series beginning ‘en plein air’ at the windy seaside of Helen’s Bay in Bangor County Down, NI
I’m using A1 watercolour board with Winsor & Newton watercolour paints applied with a large flat brush and a 3/4” mop brush.

Enjoyed watching this, really wild on that beach! I had the same brush and it was a nightmare for shedding hair. No longer use it. Looking forward to next time

Very good. Not seen watercolour board before Colin. What are the advantages/disadvantages? Presumably less likely to get blown away/soaked than watercolour paper taped to a board? Thanks Martin

It doesn’t buckle Martin, that’s the main advantage!
