Helen Hunt Falls & Silver Cascade Falls 

Exploring Colorado Springs - This outing was more of a tourist attraction visit than it was a hiking excursion. The Helen Hunt Falls are named after famous nineteenth century authoress Helen Hunt Jackson, not the Helen Hunt from Twister. The 35 feet high water fall is right next to the visitor center and can be seen from the parking lot. A lot of people were viewing the falls from the visitor center. After visiting the Helen Hunt Falls, we left the majority of the crowd behind as we climbed 349 feet to the top of the Silver Cascade Falls. These falls are more than 200 feet long. The total distance hiked was 0.91 miles with a max elevation of 7,435 ft.
