I was going to say this. We lived in Ft Myers, FL for 8 years, but moved to Winston-Salem, NC a little over a year ago. I just told my wife I can’t believe how FAST she’s traveling. I was figuring a couple/few DAYS before she started hitting up here. Where we currently are is blue & sunny skies, 85-degrees. But, it’s wired bc 1.5 hours west in Bristol it’s flooded, & just east of us on Asheville is flooded. No kore rain in the forecast for US till Sunday. But, yeah. He travel speed is like I’ve never seen before. Had she been SLOWER? Down south would’ve been screwed badly. But, it does hurt more further up north bc of how fast she’s moving. Places like Bristol & Asheville aren’t ready for this type of storm & flooding.
And how weak it was, it moved directly over where i live, the wind took some leaves and small branches from the trees and made the wind chimes do alittle more work than they've done in a while, but thats about its lol
RIP to those who have lost their lives! Should change the state motto from "The Sunshine state" to "The Hurricane state" since Florida has the highest rate of hurricanes, year after year, decade after decades! If it's mandatory to evacuate do so, get out! Staying behind is foolish because once you're in trouble like they say, they can't help you or get to you until it's too late and the storm has passed! These hurricanes/tornadoes are going to get worst due to climate change and rising sea levels, more rain, flooding per scientists/meteorologists! Pay heed!
@@kurdt-l8cYes it does. In Michigan we have really big storms coming from Chicago over lake Michigan to our area the power has never gone down in areas with the wires under the soil. One squirrel can do more damage than a storm anyways.
@@ammitthedevourerofsoulsthe water tables and sandy soil in Florida make it difficult to safely be able to bury power lines… (my husband worked for utility company for over 30 yrs).
Florida now at 4:30pm 87Degrees hot sticky, NO LIGHTS, NO ELECTRICITY, NO AC, YUCK. WE HAD NO DAMAGE THANK GOD. We had tons of rain and winds, but we are fine, GOD BLESS the families who didn’t bode well and especially those who lost their lives! My prayers go out, it was very scary!
Storms like this were almost unheard of 20 years ago. These once-in-a-lifetime events that keep happening aren’t regular at all. Let’s not normalize this.
Nawl!! That's God speaking and once again nobody is listening or paying attention. He always sends warnings before destruction. Oh!! And most think the Bible is a fairytale written by man, clueless. ❤️🙏🏽🥰
Yeh... and all of us get dinged for it on our car & home owners insurance premiums... it's a Win/Win for the Insurance companies & those who want to get a new car
If this storm moved even 15% slower my parents house and the cars there wouldve been done for. Luckily the tree that did fall barely touched the house !
My mom said she wants to move to places like Florida and Galveston, but isn’t that where high water goes and houses aren’t even 2 stories? 😮 So not safe 😔
Hurricane season in Florida…nothing like it. My wife’s sister used to live there….and would evacuate north two or three times every year. We visited…but decided not to move there.
I need some for my inner menstruating emos , even regardless🙋🏻♀️. Not that I really live out there but still. It's "where I'm from", sniffles. Cray, alllll these states. All of em.. also I hope I hope I don't hafta drive over any rivers tomorrow. Not to be insensitive I'm js
I'm so glad I don't live in Florida. Having to deal with 2, 3 or 4 hurricanes a year? If that is bad enough, you've got so many crazy people in Florida.
Hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes. You have to know these happen and can be deadly choose wisely where you live. There are safer places without devastating weather disasters ❤
@@maribelrodriguez1914 I know animals are more important than people homes getting damaged and some people losing their lives according to you. Animals can be easily replaced or discarded
@@maribelrodriguez1914 15 dead and over a million people without power in Georgia, im sure the people in Georgia don't give a damn about the animals or zoos right now
A lot of the people there just don't carry flood insurance, because its so expensive. Unfortunately, this puts it on the taxpayers to bail them out. ( No pun intended) The worst part is that they just rebuild there again. They like the beach, their boats and the great weather. (When there isn't a hurricane) Biden , and the Democrats will rush to their rescue, even though they are against any funding for climate change. In fact they deny there is climate change!
Now that I think on it... we Ohioans may have sacrificed one too many chickens to get the rain to come back to us. Had some tropical craziness up here since last night. Best wishes, good luck, and godspeed to all affected ❤
massive storm, i live on the west coast of fl. in the vicinity of a couple of these places, the winds worse after it passed, debbie the opposite, 20 inches of rain in 24 hours, this one was the wind. that fire was very dangerous, 80 mph winds can easily burn down entire neighborhoods, no way to fight it... the thing we've noticed is just how big these storms are getting, hurricane for winds were up to 70 miles wide, the tropical force winds of helene were 345 miles wide.
Underground powerlines in areas that flood are problematic as they're very hard to repair if damaged, subject to corrosion near salt water and hugely more expensive.
@@robertwasinger8193Why would anyone be unalived for people with knowledge they need that could help create something everyone needs? These humans are ridiculous. They remove everything they need for monopoly money. Humans are 8 days old to Saturn. God created everything humans need and if they're going to remove whom they need because they're spoiled little brats with stolen everything and they'll be destroyed all of them. You need something and someone has the knowledge but they destroy that person than they're already dead. Tiny little humans God created and can uncreate. Afraid of anyone that might expose their tiny little minds. Pedos. You don't appreciate life you'll never incarnate. Abuse power Prana removes it. Abuse AI you'll never touch AI. Abuse God's creation you'll never incarnate. Abuse being in God's image you'll never incarnate. Abuse Gaia's resources you'll never have any. Lake of fire comes to mind. So focused on monopoly money they're not paying attention to what's coming. They have to obey their master the devil. They can't touch the innocent and sealed. They do bury some of the lines and it works really well just map them for maintenance. They'll step down and someone that doesn't abuse power steps in. God's house God's rules.
@@norbypohl413 I can see where that would be a problem. But we do seem to have all our drinking water delivered through pipes with no problem or very little problem.
