This video is of two unmarked helicopters performing fast rope drills onto the roof of a tower block inside the Metropolitan Police Peel Centre.
The helicopters did not have any visible markings or tail numbers.
One helicopter circled above the building whilst another remained on the ground with rotors spinning. Men dressed in black, presumably members of CO19 fast roped from the helicopter onto the roof then abseiled down the side of the building

Its not police. They use their own Police marked Eurocopter for their exercises. This is an SF exercise.

Ben White I thought that heli was only for sas. So a terror incident happens and ct takes it, does the sas have wait?i doubt they’ll give them that and most like sas would deal with these high risk things. Just my opinion. Plus the police have their own helicopter why do they need that to train and I’ve seen them use their own helicopter.

The SF Dauphins sound different from the civi ones, like the engines are more beefy. Nice filming 👍

No they sound exactly the name. If you know anything about helicopters. The reason it sounds different is these helicopters are older and the fenestron tail rotor. The new ones the tail rotor blades are not Asymmetrical. They have the blades spaced different and it creates a node which produces a lower pitch sound. This helo here has its tail blades spaced equally and it creates a higher pitch sound. The high pitch sound is not the engines it’s the tail rotor. I’ve flown lots of eurocopters or airbus now. So I’m very familiar with the design. The very first dauphins would scream extremely loud. Until they figured out how to space the blades to bring the pitch down.

You may wish to consider rewriting this in a language that normal people can understand.

They seem to go very slowly. I always imagined they'd be like bang bang bang out the helicopter the moment it was over the roof. If it were actually a seige situation, helicopters approaching then buzzing over the building for ages would not be a very surprise assault, surely.

This is most likely a counter insurgency exercise. The UK is under such a high threat from Islamic extremists that specific training for the securing and/or retaking of police stations is required. Rapid response vehicles have been strategically placed at selected civic sites (excluding police stations) for the same purpose.
