Love it. I've had mine for a couple of years now and it's my absolute go to daysack. Ive extended mine by fixing two of the helikon bushcraft dump pouches between the three external pockets so it's got a nice row of five external pockets now, good for a 12-18hr hike. Glad you like the pack, she'll serve you well.
I have used mine for an overnight trip but had to be carful with what I brought along. Added a US military waist pack and use that to keep my basha kit so well worth pimping it up.
How’s the ride? I generally wear my pack higher up on my back to clear my waist line as much as possible. I’m also curious about the molle points on the top and bottom for a mat and small bivouac sac
Hey dude, thanks for watching the video. I need to adjust the straps on it a bit further I think so I can wear it a little higher up, it rides on my lower back a bit at the minute but that’s partly because I’m a short ass lol. I’m also going to see how I can utilise the molle straps on the top and bottom too to see what I can get out of the bag.
Definitely, those old military burgerns tend to last a long time though don’t they? I’ve seen them on a few different military surplus sites but I never bought one. Thanks for watching dude
I chose the matilda in olive green over this because the bergen is just a little too small. It's been a perfect bag so far, never had an issue packing everything I need into it
I’ve seen the Matilda and it looks like a great bag. The Bergen is on the small side but for me personally that’s exactly why I got it. Thanks for watching bud
@@YorkshiremanOutdoors If you haven't already you should check out the helikon tex swagman roll, it's an amazing piece of gear. I do a lot of hiking on the west coast of canada and it's saved me in numerous rain storms, decent blanket and even works well as a light duty sleeping bag when I've been too exhausted to trek out. It's easily the most versatile piece of gear in my bag
