I like how the two images represent something. The first image shows his heart and body going up, but it reality he's "Falling In Love" since hes actually falling and the way the melting or stuff is oozing upwards, and how his eyes are in the shape of a heart, and the background shows him meeting up with dream, because of the passports and papers, and the suitcases and luggage. While the second image is nothing but jellyfish, indicating hes no longer sinking, or falling in love and some sort of heart break or something happened, so he was heart broken and stopped falling for him as the hearts in his eyes disappeared. ik the entire comment section is DNF fans but this song on its own is beautiful. it's a poetic song about love and all the forms it can take. it can destroy and repair you at the same time. it can take away innocence while making you feel light. It's the melancholy of this song that always draws me back to it. the song feels like when you're floating in a pool at night and you can only hear the hum of the cicadas because your ears are underwater. each person takes this song in a different way and I think that's beautiful. the line "I guess I want you more than I thought I did" is the DEFINITION of melancholy. it's knowing you had something but only realizing how much you need it when you are away from it. chefs kiss
i dont know why but this song just instantly makes the entire heatwaves/helium story flood back into my memory and it makes me so fucking happy and sad at the same, its literally perfect for the story
heatwaves was so amazingly written, it reminds me of late summer nights and having to sleep on top of your bed sheets because it’s so hot, reading heatwaves, being so excited because you have no idea what’s going to happen. helium feels like the last of summer, the slight dampness in the air while summer floats away, having a floaty feeling in your heart while reading slowly as day turns into night.
You know, every time my recommendations lead me to this particular video, I acknowledge, how suiting to the end of Heatwaves the fanart on this video is. George is pictured as surprised, shocked, dumbfounded because of Dream’s honest, yet hurtful message. Betrayed on how Dream could’ve simply just abandon him with the burden of his own feelings, alone, not understanding. Then there’s Dream, a moment ago lost in the thought of possibly missing George’s feelings over him, thinking of how easy it would be to just ruin it all, to try to ease the heartache. He sends the message on accident, and then thanks to George he realizes that if he didn’t do that, their relationship would look different. He realizes that he didn’t only ruin his hopes, he ruined the yet again sprouting feeling George had for him, too. Dream isn’t surprised after he realizes his mistake, it’s the after-acceptation heartbreak. But they both share the same feeling: the feeling of longing and reaching for one another, yet not being able to be together. Edit: Not yet.
this song feels like a light blue/ aqua bubble bath. it’s comforting but reminds you of how lonely you are, it’s relaxing but also prickles your skin, you can’t wait to get out but you don’t want to leave. It’s the feeling of the cold water splashing the back of your neck.

I remember the first time i read the fanfiction. It was the exact month of last year. I, the hopeless romantic outromantized the shit out of a friendship i had, becouse i wanted to feel. Fell what George and Dream did in the fanfic. When i was with that friend i knew my feeling were not true, but i kept manipulating myself into thinking it was. Still, i felt alone and numb, whenever i woke up. A month later, when i finished it and started reading helium i confessed, and got rejected. I did not ate anything that day, i was only listeninh to this song which i didn't notice how much influence it had on my life. Week later we were friends again, and i was my old self again. Whenever i hear this song it reminds me of the feeling i had. Numb, and craving for love.
