Hell Let Loose - Mortain Has Some Interesting Tank Gameplay (Update 15) 

Thanks for watching! I forgot to mention that I was having some performance issues on Mortain and saw some FPS dips. Solid map that can become a great map IMO.

I love that you share the games even when your team struggles to hold points and defend. Those enemy pushes on Hill 314 were aggressive.

Me and my crew are heavily aggressive Hit and run gorilla tactics while ulfberht Is helping command with pings and Garrison locations

That match was rough man, even though Me and my crew didn't do much I loved tanking with you guys! Love the vids too, cant wait to catch the next one

Great match; i haven't try Mortain yet, nor on armor or on foot, but looks hard in spotting and angles, i like that.

This may be the best map I have played on in the game. I wish the other maps were this dense in foliage. It makes for more intense fog of war type fights and allows for more maneuver warfare and flanking.

They need to add a couple cav scout roles to tank squads

They definitely should really emphasize that you need a squad designated for armor support. Hardest concept in the world apparently haha but yes could become a great map but definitely needs more tweaking

I hate Mortain for armor. It’s so miserable for tanks unless you have competent infantry around you.

Aren’t they doing a hot fix to make it so you can drive through the trees?

You just gota play different on this map, just do a ton of thunder runs from a new angle through point, the cover hides you from infantry and the easy mobility can get you out fast. honestly the most fun in a tank ive had is on this map

mortain is possibly the 3rd worst tank map in the game, behind Hill400 and hurtgen. Yes id say its worse than carentan. The middle section of the map is unplayable, you cannot see anywhere past 100m due to the tree lines being so low and blocking your vision, only the driver can ever see anything since they sit low enough. infantry can flank you instantly and wait with a satchel in any number of bushes. the only playable areas of the map for tanks is the top middle objective hill314 and its immediate surroundings, the highest area of the hill along the edge of the map. there you can get some reasonable distances and can have decent tank fights playing tank commander in this map causes nausea/strains eyes since im having to stare through the foliage to see anyone the map is extremely restrictive on where you are allowed to go, you can either go to the very top line or the very bottom line of the map, the middle area is completely inaccessible to tanks. essentially you are religated to camping the friendly objective until enough infantry squads start moving up that you can proceed random tree foliage blocks tank rounds you cannot do anything without a deticated infantry squad protecting you 24/7, but this level of teamwork isnt reasonable to expect in pubs
