Hell Let Loose - You don't get Sniping like this in ANY other GAME 

As soon as I branched off of COD I found all these better games. Like being sober you finally see the world. 4 months sober off COD now

I like how you snipe like a true sniper would...never taking shots when they're not a high hit percentage (aka "No wasting ammo").

If HLL was released as a new BF game today it would be the best BF game ever released. Its honestly so good. Couldnt believe my eyes taking over that Hill 400 map yesterday. It looked so damn real and the gunplay is so spot on. 10/10

The psychological stress of knowing there's a good enemy sniper hunting you must be damn near crippling. I can't imagine how hard it must be to try and get up the guts to move to a new location after seeing one of your guys catch a bullet from an unknown location.

The bullet drop seems much less compared to the k98 scope, I was really dialing up at like 200-300m even made a 550m shot

Sniper here. Something movies and games often get wrong, but which can be remedied in Hell Let Lose because it looks like you have so many options for cover, is that you rarely take more than one shot from the same fp. The sop is to select two positions, up to four if there's ample covering fire, moving between them with each shot. I say this not to critisize, but as a tip. A sniper serves two purposes, protect the forward operating line from threats and snipers they might not see and suppress the enemy while throwing them into disarray. Accuracy is irrelevant for the second purpose once you've proven accuracy by taking down one target. Moving between fp confuses an enemy now intent on locating your fp while keeping their heads down, rather than keeping your fp hidden. A distance sniper is almost impossible to target without artillery anyway. Disarray and confusion occupy the enemy force while the forward troops infiltrate and flank. I don't know how realistic the AI is in terms of reaction but it might be worth testing out. A unit can pierce an enemy position quickly and effectively if the sniper operates correctly, usually by flanking while the enemy desperately try to locate direction of fire. I've seen snipers using tracer rounds on other videos which is something you wouldn't do as this merely betrays your fp, especially if other enemy units have eyes on the field and a way to communicate. The window of opportunity can be drawn out, but usually the aim is to shock, suppress and confuse for quick infiltration. Artillery (particularly mortars) is the sniper's true enemy so leaving the established fp quickly is a priority. I don't know if the WW2 'sniper in the bell tower' was ever a real thing (I suspect not) but high ground with very limited options for a safe retreat should be avoided over low ground, low cover with easy access to a fall back position.

Alpine, I remember watching a few of your videos early last year thinking "oh man, this does look good - if only they could improve the sound design..." I bought it anyway and loved it, despite those gripes. Almost two years later, they've drastically improved that aspect of the game and it sounds as good as it looks. I'm so grateful to the devs and to you for bringing HLL to my attention, coz it's honestly one of the best games ever devised, and it's only getting better all the time.

Is it my impression or the bullets seems to be way too fast, e.g. given the distance and the velocity they should take a little longer to hit the targets ?

Red orchestra 2 had some decent sniper mechanics, particurlary that you could legit change the range and switch to iron sights if ya needed, granted the maps were much much smaller 64 players max per server, shame the game kind of died

true sniping in this game is legendary. ive been on some great recon squads who fuck shit UP ! not just taking out enemies but destroying enemy garrisons, building new ones, killing off artillery, just lone wolf 2 man squad shit.

theres a reason men crawled in ditches, or only moved under the cover of armour, that advances into an area that been grid fired on by your spg and mortar crews, and every peice of cover is fired on, just to make sure, cause a good sniper squad can cause some serious losses, this video is full of rambos easily picked off by a well hidden and competant shooter.

*You also don't get sniping at ALL in Hell Let Loose unless you have a NVME SSD and load into the game faster than anyone else. Those recon classes and squads are limited to 4 players out of 50, and they are gone in mere seconds. Good luck playing sniper in this game unless you have a really good SSD and load in before the other players.*

How bad was that enemy grp?? This guy is sniping the whole time from same position..shooting the whole time repeatedly. How can they not notice his position??? This grp is bad and he was just lucky no one had a brain...

You wont get sniping like this in any game. its true, because youll be kicked off before u can even get a kill streak. because if youre not playing with someone u know as a spotter. youll be kicked off. its horrible

nice vid - the best sniping i have seen is on the Dinant Map in Post Scriptum... 1000m + engagements because of the map size/river valley... bullet drop is insane

They definitely are the best at ambience. All that sky needs is a lightning strike in the distance and a roll of thunder. Im glad they beefed up the hedge rows. I went to Normandy on the 50th anniversary and we went around faliase and different areas and the hedgerow is no joke. Not only was it 10-20 feet high but the lower part was compacted dirt and roots. Crazy stuff. You could sit there and notice every spot where a ambush or a cross fire could take place. The lower generation found out we were US Army and came out and gave us wine and talked about the fighting there. Most said it looked the same as when our army crawled thru it.

I find long distance far too difficult with the Springfield. I’m fine with the kar98 but I find the targets are too small. Maybe I need glasses- or maybe I’m just shit😂

Hate on me if you'd like - Sniping in DayZ is better... Not graphically, not in terms of netcode, but in terms of bullet drop and "feel" of the rifles.

Imagine using a sniper that doesn't have a 400000 lumen flash for a scope... Cough every other fps

It's hilarious seeing all the CoD guys in the comments like "[Yeah, this is absolutely better, because I'm getting huge kill streaks!!]" - because that's what defines a "good sniper game". I haven't personally played Hell Let Loose; but, from your gameplay, it doesn't come across all that realistic as a sniper. ARMA III is my go-to for sniper realism, as DayZ has lost its way.

I wish I had games like this when I was young and free! Alls we had in my day was Day of Defeat, where you could count the polygons on three hands, and dog sawnit if we didn't like it that way.

Noobs let loose. This game is cheap and unfair that's why people love it. They don't actually realize how bad they're getting fucked over. Run for 8 minutes get killed by some shit that isn't rendering and then crawl around for 3 minutes and get killed by some shit that isn't rendering. I love this game, but it really is pretty broken.

dunno why but Sgt moody sounds exactly like that actor Glenn Morshower especially talking from 9:11 onwards taking that garrison. if you don't know the actor check him out and definitely you have seen him in some military type roles he's mostly in the transformers movies as a general type.

sure can't get sniping like that in any other game, balancing on top of a wall taking a shot standing up with 100% perfect accuracy when the best trained snipers can only manage such shots lying down from a stable fire position, such realism -.-

Squad with scoped Mosin as insurgent or with the timberwolf as canadian, u kindda have the same feeling, except u need to deal against modern weapon with a bolt action rifle

Realistic mode or Arcade mode> Arcade mode is when all you have to do to get clean shot is aim at center of cross heir. Realistic is distance, wind, motion, ect ..
