In 1980 the commanding General of the Finnish Army visited Switzerland. He seemed interested in our 12 cm mortars and stopped a while talking to us. Klausenpass sometime in autumn 1980.

@@moisuomi I think we could enlarge the idea of what is Scandinavia. Strictly taken Denmark is not in Scandinavia but still it is considered a Scandinavian country. So why not Finland? After all, Finland is in geological terms a Fenno-Scandian land.

@@jounisuninen Finland unlike Denmark is not culturally, Ethnically, or in some cases not fully historically Scandinavian. There were no real Finnish Vikings till the late Viking age. They were literally part of the greater Finnic tribes at the time. Also the Finnish language is nothing like their Scandinavian neighbors, it is much closer to Estonian.
