I love it, that waitress was hard as nails as the old phrase goes.

Since the 1960s I have made scores of trips on Highway 287 going from Dallas to Amarillo and on to Colorado. I can't be sure of the year, but I know I have stopped at this restaurant for steak and potato, or at least one on the same corner of the same highway. Don't remember the waitress, but I am not sure I would have considered her to be memorable, given the time and place. About the only thing the movie seems to have left out are the multitude of homemade crosses you see in the towns and along the roads, most made of welded drill pipe and painted white. Texas.

My response would be to stand up and say "what I DON'T want is to be exposed to your lack of professional courtesy. You're obviously old enough to know better, so ma'am, you have a good day, if you think you can stand it. Bye bye"

That has got to be the worst customer service! And you can tell she's been there 44yr!...what a life. Dumb look at the end!
