How interesting that i see this video as soon as i relapsed after only being 8 days sober. I need to change, pray for me brothers, I'll pray for all of us too.
This was remarkably fruitful. So accurate, so complete. Pray, stay alert, and do penance ... be ready, do NOT be unprepared! We are talking about ETERNITY!
Try to live in the Divine Will Say as much as you possibly can, "Jesus, I Trust in You. Thy will be done. I give you my will, please give me Yours in return."
Father this is an excellent sermon & hope keeps us away from sin that we may merit heaven. Just shared another sermon like this w/ my Bro & Sisters in the Legion of Mary & they reacted so badly Very sad. We have 4 the past 60 yrs become kumbaya Catholics thinking that all we have 2 do is die & we automatically go 2 hea
This is total amd absolute 🔥! The real truth that many sadly cannot handle and won't heed! God bless all who listen and believe! REPENT NOW! As the Gospel says, "we know not the day nor the hour".
Most edifying "sermon" I have heard in a long time. If only such nourishing spiritual food were offered in novo ordo churches (instead of the candy we invariably get)! Excellent. Sad.
I was told others can be saved by the prayers of others. Is this not true? In AU, only about 12% of Catholics attend weekly mass. What happens to the other 88%?
This offers very little hope and much despair. You basically have to be perfect. I have a better chance of winning the lottery. What's the point of trying?
Yeah, I thought the same. It’s scare mongering, people lose hope because of this kind of rhetoric. Simply saying “got to confession” and do penance isn’t enough. I have done so very recently, you can’t escape the fact that this offers almost no hope for everyone. I personally don’t agree with scare tactics, it’s why people leave and give up
Don’t despair my friend! I know what you’re saying though, first impression when listening to all this is, what chance do I have a miserable mess of a sinner than I am!. I think however, the crux of the message is don’t give up the fight no matter how bad things go and get, if we keep our eyes fixed on Christ and stay close to him and our blessed lady asking their help to avoid future sinful situations within ourselves and around us. Of course we’re going to fall and sin and Christ knows this, the question is do we lay there and die or do we get up, brush ourselves off, and ask for God‘s mercy and get to confession if need be and keep on plugging along? God knows our hearts and souls but we can’t just be presumptuous, sit by the sidelines and assume we’re going to get to heaven. I think that might be a bit of the point Father was trying to get at. If we are constantly aware of the consequences of our sinful actions and where it’s going to land our souls in the end if we don’t change then it’ll make us prone to wanting to change. Remember what Saint Paul said about working out our salvation in fear and trembling. It’s a daily minute by minute conversion. Keep the faith my friend we’re all on this journey together, let us continue to pray for each other. God bless.
You are correct in saying that for the Saints. But the sick need to also know that Revelation 2:11 and 20:6 say that those who overcome the devil's tribulation will not be hurt by the second death because it has no power over them
@@MementoMori1001 yeah man, that can be hard, I had had a few of these situations with prot friends. If you have an open relationship you should just share the faith without throwing it in their face and not being argumentative, just being friendly but also explicit about the faith, I guess.
It doesn't seem correct. Christ died horrifically for 10 percent of the population. 😢 his blood is far more powerful than that. Thank him for his sacrifice and his love. May Christ have mercy.
If most people are going to hell then God has utterly failed his mission and should not be worshiped at all. Either he is evil because he simply didnt even try to save people or he is not omnipotent and so should be overturned.
He didn’t fail at all, everyone can be saved as they’re given sufficient grace to be saved, they simply choose the world over God. God doesn’t violate your free-will choice. God isn’t evil whatsoever, but so holy that unholy people can’t even be within His presence.
“For God has put it into their minds to carry out his purpose and to make them come to an agreement to give their kingdom to the beast until the words of God are accomplished.”
@@Glory-to-God. sad. But I think we can all aspire to purgatory. However, I am correcting my life. I hate sin and I really want to be united to God. I don't want to go to hell. From here on forward, I will do Gods will. I will put God first and I will OBEY God and my husband. I will not offend God.
Thank you for this Father for reminding us always that as long as we are alive our salvation is still not guaranteed. I must me reminded of this always. 🙏🏼♥️
Preparation for death by St Alphonsus Ligouri is a must read as one thing we can be absolutely sure of, is death comes to all then judgement, heaven or hell.
Two videos from sensual fidelium come to mind, one on the reading of St. Vincent of Port Maurice, and one on the difficulty of salvation and damnation: From St Vincent, the number of the damned is as innumerable as the sands on the beaches, but the number of the saved is as innumerable as the stars in heaven. How easy is it to go to hell? Easy. How easy is it to get to heaven? Easy. Not without struggle, but remembering the four last things makes the burden of enlightenment through Christ a joy, thus easy. Damnation is easy because we are already oriented toward it. Keep the vigil brothers and sisters.
I feel like we’re entrapped. Sure we’re broadly warned but the gravitas and peril is never revealed to man. This is like asking a drunk man to be quiet in a library
How are we to 'avoid near occasions of sin' when the sin consists in omitting very important duties? Are duties not binding wherever we find ourselves? How are we to enter Heaven if we simply ignore them? Do we not risk being 'Justified' in our own eyes like the Pharisee?
Praying for your needs . Rationalization is the second strongest human drive. Don't give yourself permission to not do what you are called to do. He doesn't give us crosses without the corresponding graces needed to carry them well.
@@gerir4386 What do you do if your duty implies that you will certainly lose your life in pursuing it and you have virtually no chance of succes? We need 'help' not just to supplement our weekness in doing this kind of thing but in putting us in motion - '(...) for it is God who works in you both to WILL and to ACT' (Philippians 2:13). And that can only be the doing of a PERSON, the Person of the Holy Ghost dwelling, as it were, within us - not some exterior 'inspiration' meant to 'help' our woefully inadequate desire to do Good! I know this is going to sound strange but WE cannot save ourselves, even with the 'help' of God - only GOD can do that... A turtle, no matter how much you 'inspire' it, will never fly like a dove! That's how God gives us the 'corresponding graces needed to carry our crosses': by dwelling in us ...and carrying them Himself. Let us never lose sight of the fact that it is HIS Glory we seek - not our own!
@@superapex2128 you are being very vague, and I'm sure you have a good reason to be. My thinking is, we were made by God, for God. We are to give our lives away by serving Him, by serving each other. No matter what we do, it should give glory to God. If your work is sinful, you need to take a new job.
"Should I go to the Protestants church?!" - umm no. Pray the rosary daily (20 minutes!) Consecrate yourself to Jesus through Mary (google it) Wear a brown scapular, and enroll yourself as a Carmellite Perform the first 9 Fridays Devotion Perform the first 5 Saturdays Devotion Don't commit mortal sin The only way (unless Christ says otherwise through His own decision) a non Catholic goes to Heaven is by performing a perfect act of contrition My Lord God, forgive me if I have said anything incorrect in this response.
