goreycinema Owh god Raj was fucked... i giggle at these insults because its true all these cooks are supposed to be well trained and they fail the simplest thing like cooking time or seasoning
How can anyone take so much abuse and continue and then be able to look himself in the mirror. The abuse was way too much, shame on Ramsey, but more shame on him for taking that.
The way he calmly said, “I want you out,” is more terrifying than Gordon Ramsay plainly yelling at him. I mean he actually walked over to him and said it in his ear
if you think thats sinister, you should hear him without the goofy music to lighten the mood, talking to people who actually work for him, its terrifying
Even though he wasn't all that great of a chef, I have to give Ben props for never giving up or cracking under the pressure. He never let any of Ramsay's insults get to him (except for that one time when Ramsay accused him of sabotaging his team) and always maintained an energetic and optimistic attitude in the kitchen. He'd never make a list of Top Ten Best Hell's Kitchen Contestants but his huge amount of passion and determination would very easily make him one of the most likeable people to have ever been on the show.
I really don't give a fuck... I luv Gordon calling this guy for not working under pressure... if they can't do it like this fuck what you expect. lol dumbass can use a clean flat pan ffs
@@zesar6 And how many services have you got under your belt? I guess none. Because even the dumbest of the dumb with a little bit of experience can see that these guys are seriously overworked and underslept. Have you ever worked a tough service the morning after another tough service with one or two hours of sleep in between? Your brain jut\st shuts down. And a good chef would get it there and help you out rather than running his mouth and bitching like a baby.
+Sahm A The only way I could take Ramsay's shit is if I knew I deserved it. But if he was being a complete dick of something knitpicky or not worth raising a fuss over other than in the sake of entertaining tv then I would go off on his ass. Yea he'd be like 6 inches taller than me and would probably laugh but i dont care
+crashpal Never really watched the show, but the dude was a trooper. Took his licks and kept working. And Ramsay was fucking ruthless on him. Nice work Ben, you're a good dude.
Gordon doesn't go personal, even if it seems like he is sometimes, he just uses that as a way to test their will and desire to keep going, and plus to see if they will crack.
Not really sarcasm . Im serious . If gordon does not yell at you , he gave up on you and doesnt care . The reason he yells at people is for them to be better .
I like what Ben said , "If I'm not sure, I'll ask.So, I'll ask .I'll take an ass whipping for it, but at least I'll know for sure" Coz some like me are too afraid to ask questions.
As weird as it will sound, I think Gordon Ramsay liked him from the get go, and this is just him checking the guy emotional skills. Btw, he handled it amazingly.
Nah, he was just waiting for all that anger to build up in Ben so he would snap and create a great TV moment. He was prolly irritated that Ben took everything on the cheek and nothing really managed to puncture his composure.
It's his discipline. He never talked back, and he always understood that Ramsay was his superior. He never cracked under the pressure that Ramsay was pushing down onto him.
Harrison Bowman go fuck yourself. What proof do you have that they are corrupt and immoral what war crimes did our troops commit? Hell our soldiers get screwed over by everyone. Politicians, liberals, the fucking therapists and prescription drugs they have to take for their ptsd.
Mordecai oh what’s the matter is the liberals feelings hurt? Do you want to go to your safe space? Here’s a tip if you want to win a debate give a counter argument. When you use insults instead of facts you lose that argument. Sorry liberals emotion doesn’t always work
he's just like sgt gunny hartman. 5:37 - i'm surprised this was allowed to be left uncensored. i know it's a tv show, however, americans usually get wildly upset if they're called this.
Krisztián Kapus especially since past contestants have said he takes a lot of time to teach them, which conveniently isn't shown on tv. They also say he's a really great teacher.
It's fucking hilarious, that's like the whole point of the show. It's manufactured drama and him being creative as possible with his insults. It's like a game, if Ben gives in then ramsay wins if he doesn't ben wins.
That would explain why Ramsay was bitchy about "Ben giving him the attitude". He wasn't, he was just replying "yes chef" and "no chef", and I think this was Ramsay's last line of offense to stir some drama in that one episode. He isn't being paid to make a show about running a restaurant, he's paid to make a show with people attempting to cook with little to no time to improve their skills outside of service hours, and with little to no constructive feedback, that would be boring and wouldn't sell.
A lot of people wonder why Ben was kept around (most think for entertainment). I think he was kept around because he did have a good attitude in the kitchen, just not good cooking.
They brought him back for Season 9 I believe, and he was damn good then. Without a doubt he was there for the entertainment, but he could cook, just had alot of problems.
Holy shit, I can't believe anyone has verbally body-slammed Ramsay's yet. There must be someone out there whose swearing proficiency surpasses Ramsay's
I don't get it. Ramsay usually likes chefs who never quits, who always keeps on fighting no matter what, ben is just like that, always head up high. And he can cook also. But still, you can see ramsay has something against him. He is on him for small things, like if something is cold, he is up his ass for it 10 minutes. Its quite weird actually.
Because it's a big deal, if I pay for food at a restaurant I don't want cold food, raw fish, over seasoned food, or something cooked on a dirty pan or something.
Chaz Dadkhah You could hardly call working for Gorden Ramsey for 15 years - Sous Chef all the way to Head chief - a mere stepping stone..Even marcus himself said that Gorgon Ramsay teaching him to cook, was "the most important time in my life". Angela Harnett joined Gorden ramsey in 1994 for a one day trial and worked her way up to Sous chief and then head chief and earned her first Michelin star. Stuart Gillies chef patron at the Savoy Grill ( 1 star) Sean Burbidge worked for Gorden for many years and now runs Petrus (1 star) Jason Atherton joined The Ramsey goup as executive chef in 2001 till 2010. (1 star) Not forgetting the great Clare smyth who joined the goup in 2002 and now holds down 3 stars at restarunt Gorden ramsey in london....There is probably half a dozen more to add to this list
Simone Zanoni is one of the greatest Chefs -- Head of Restaurant Gordon Ramsay at Trianon (2 stars).... From 1997 to 2001, he started as a clerk, then a division chief, at Restaurant Aubergine then worked at the following restaurants: Amarylis (1 Michelin’s star) Petrus (2 stars) and Claridge’s (1 star) and then head chief at Gordon Ramsay Restaurant, London (3 stars) 2008 before moving to Versailles franceto run Trianon. He is also Executive Chef of Hôtel Trianon Palace.
mostly likely to push the guy. He obviously had a thicker skin than anyone else and Ramsay wanted to get under that skin and push him further forward. It looks like in Ramsay's eyes the best way make someone work their best is to push them to their limits. And this guy had quite a deep limit
He was way too hard to make him go further than his own limits. He saw something in the guy and wanted to see if he had it to take a restaurant home. There is a reason for why he made it so far
Ben:- I'm very upset with myself Chef... Ramsey:- No I wouldn't be upset if I was you, *closes up to Ben's ear* I'd be embarrassed. -- Ramsey:- I'm watching you like a fucking Hawk. Do you know why, do you know why? *closes up to Ben's ear again* I want you out. As harsh as those two scenes are, I find them so damn hilarious LOL.
his pushing him, it's the way that Ramsay works, he will push you this way, instead of positive criticism, he will burn you until you're either cooked or you start sprinting to avoid his burn and pick up your game.
I actually respect Ben a lot. He truly never gives up, even when Gordon tosses him out, and has by far the best attitude in any season of Hell's Kitchen I've watched. Also (Spoilers for season 5) when he came back to help Danny in the final, he wanted to make it all about Danny, and not about himself, unlike others such as Giovanni. Great guy
Ben's the real man on this video because he just keeps going despite the amount of abuse that Chef Ramsay is throwing at him. I don't care if anyone disagrees I'm just expressing my opinion.
I don’t know why so many people are giving so much credit to Ben, I mean good for him on staying strong, but fuck me he tried to bake the wellingtons on a dirty ass tray, like what? How could he? I can see he is very stressed and doesn’t have sufficient rest, but damn that was hideous! Not having sufficient rest isn’t excuse for losing common sense!
