Thanks for watching - Been following a long with this game for awhile now and thought it was time for a video. They are really doing some great things with this one and I hope they keep listening to the community - I'm not sure if it Rivals Helldiver's 2 for now but its a Blast to Play with a group! I have both, and I do like both quite a bit. I do lean more to Helldivers 2 though because the ever changing galactic war. That aspect of Helldivers 2 is what really sets it apart from Starship Troopers.

Dude I have no idea if this came out before the 8.0, but holy hell the bodies of the bugs staying and allowing them to pile up, the amount of times it felt like the movie, the bugs pilling up outside the walls, and then pouring over like a water, and everyone trying to stem the flow and fight them back, its insane to experience. My god it was so fun.

I have both and played both extensively. What I can say is, you'll get sick of HD2 and STE will be your default, ol reliable. HD2 just gets sad and lonely after the honeymoon phase.

I have both helldivers 2 and this game. For what it is, it’s currently one of the best starship troopers game out there. each game has its own perks, but what is very interesting about this one is the 16man fireteam, and also the base building. you really feel like your in a desperate fight to keep the bugs out of your base on harder difficulties. If hell divers are like a seal team that helo drops. This game is like a ranger platoon who fights big ass bugs. Would highly recommend giving it a try

Personally my philosophy has always been "If you are worried about graphics you are playing games wrong" gameplay is most important to me. I haven't had the privilege of playing either but I would like to. Seeing I'm on the xbox platform I'm only going to get Troopers.

With the first aid stims you can carry up to 3 stims or another set if you have an extra utility slot.

Both games are great. Though, my computer barely allows me to extract on SST:E even when I have all my settings at the lowest possible. I would upgrade my rig for this game, but I wouldn't think of it directly for HD2.

Lately I've not had issues, my rig is not new and last gen stuff. Hoping to upgrade one day. But I love both games and they do different stuff and play differently. Being partial to the movie leans me towards SST.

This is og, helldivers I would say is inspired more by star ship troopers, and it's about time we get some starship troopers games. Can't wait for nph voice line lol.

I really love this game but on map where there's a lot of player, the framerate drop so they really need to optimize their servers.

These types of games are always fun, also played BlueDrake's Operation Harsh Doorstop which is a Military shooter but allows community mods it has a Starship Trooper Mod made by the community and that was a blast as well

That is actually a good point......I always just go into the settings and adjust it on the night missions.

You think this is dark? Try play helldivers2 night missions on planets with storm and rain. You cant see anything even if you change settings. I hate those planets.

Wouldn't try to make any comparisons, hell, might not try and make two different games to bash at each other, for both have different playstyles of their own. Like, Helldivers having their stratagems as an example with SO MUCH LOVE OF CHAOS AND MAYHEM while Starship Troopers: Extermination have their sandbox tower defense schtick. Won't lie, however, I am tempted to buy Starship Troopers when I feel like it.

Man..... I REALLY hope SC adds a mode like this into the Arena Commander... We've already got the drop ships, support ships/vehicles and guns... Just need base building and hordes of bugs lol... Talk about blowing the lid off of a whole new gamestyle. Sorry to sidetrack the focus. I know im not the only one who thought this lol..😅

Love both, but I cant stand away too long fron Starship Troopers Universe which is my favorite by far!! Lacking time but started to replay it, I experience SUPER HEAVY LAG on servers with BUG teleporting, popping up and desapear... that is RUINUING the experience! anyone else??

The game has a lot of potential. I'm guessing the actual release will be more polished than this early access. Still the game foundation is great.

I've really not had any major issues so far, definitely needs some polish on the graphics IMO. But over all I've had some great fun with it.

It has potential and haven’t played Starship trooper but it does seem unpolished and the presentation doesn’t awe me. The game mechanics and graphics seems out dated, essentially what I mean is I won’t build a new pc to play starship trooper but will build a pc to play Helldiver. If they polish it up, it may stand a chance 😊

I would've liked "Helldivers 2" PC version even more if not for that STUPID PSN Region restrictions! Freakin' as a Filipino born and raised in the Philippines, we still don't have PSN access. I would've bought a Steam PC copy for Helldivers 2 after saving enough funds, but when Sony announced that PSN requirement log-in for HD2 while our country still doesn't have PSN access, I was so shocked and disappointed that I couldn't buy HD2 on either Steam or Epic Game Store. 😞😞😞😞

Yeah I'm glad they reversed that. Big corps are gonna do what they want as long as people are buying their stuff. Only power we have is not to buy and not to play. And this time it worked out in our favor. It really hurt the game and player count is still down.

@@MrSlvr2000 I'm sorry REVERSED? To countries/regions w/ PSN Access 'yes' it was reversed. But to other regions/countries that doesn't have PSN access, sadly 'no'. Again, our country - Philippines - doesn't have PSN Access and currently the PC versions for Helldivers 2, Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut Edition and God of War: Ragnarok, we still can't buy them on either Steam or Epic, because our country doesn't have PSN Access support. I've double-checked and yeah, I can't see HD2, GoT-DC Ed., and GoW:Ragnarok on Steam and Epic.

It's not meant to be Helldivers. I mean helldiver bugs are great and the automatons are great, but everyone only ever fights the bugs for the Starship Troopers experience. Now that there is a really good modern Starship Troopers game, they want to give it crap.

Based on gameplay, it seems like a notch down on graphics style, shooting seems like Fortnite. If people thinks Helldivers are repetitive - I believe this will be more or less the same, they even have the same objectives. My 2cents. Helldiver has no class system but that's the beauty of it - you create your own class, tank, medic, heavy explosive, sniper, flamethrower aoe etc etc.

The graphics was one of the first things I mentioned.....it needs some major polish. They have been pumping out some updates so we will see what they do. I'd like the ability to switch weapons and or classes during certain battles. Seems like an oversight to me.

helldivers has no content. All the guns are the same, no character customization, strategems are just linear upgrades, no content.

Not to mention all the bugs. The worst one is the friends list. All my friends got deleted and I cannot add any. Content cannot be added if they game isn't working as intended.

What more can you ask from an fps than all the normal stuff? point and shoot, sprint, reload, swap weapons, melee, throw grenade, jump, crouch, scope/iron sight view. Its all there plus base building...What is missing? youre going to sleep on a game you've been "waiting for for years" because it doesnt look like call of poopy? battlefart? gaylo? lol

@@rickcasual im not looking at the gfx im looking at the stale enemy ai thats non reactive to damage, shooting directly through allies heads, phasing through allies/no collision, very meh animations characters look like mannequins, doesnt look like theres any prone, no grit/battle damage on the character and the choppyness of performance, im comparing that with Helldivers which has great enemy Ai, damage tears chunks and limbs out of enemys, animation quality is stellar, brutal friendly fire which increases consequence and stakes, absolutely killer aesthetic design, smothered in blood guts throughout the mission which sticks to your armor even between missions until you die, performance is good... (most the time) i want this game to succeed but the gameplay's gonna have to look better than this for me to get into it
