What's your thoughts on the overall news? Let me know here I will be responding back. My thoughts: I think Sony situation is some good news. Low morale for the studio is understandable but AH should have listen to us. The situation can get better considering there's going to be private test servers soon but we'll see!
@@Brainfiizz I think their whole idea is to get some solid patches out that help with performance, crashing then continue on until they're able to get some more content out. If I had to guess.
They're crying because they have low morale? Honey, most of your players are american. Don't talk to us about low morale, especially when you get 6 weeks off a year, and most of us are lucky to get one. And if any of us had screwed up as much as you guys have been screwing up, we wouldn't have a job. So stop crying and get back to work.
Remember when people thought the illuminate would show up at any moment, and when you could literally do the opening cinematic with the titan. People felt powerful, now its just another run in circles reload simulator.
No point in reloading anymore, the only remaining effective weapons against heavies now are the big boom air/orbital hits as the momentum/damage nerf means it takes a minimum of 2 AV shots to take out most of the enemies they were DESIGNED to counter.
I was thinking about that the other day. Everyone was at the edge of their seats waiting for the Illuminate to show up out of nowhere. Arrowhead took too long and now it’s gonna be just another update.
"Theres a lot of good stuff in the patch thats not getting any attention and that's a little disappointing" Yeah mate welcome to our world, it's hard to enjoy the good when you keep taking it away or doing the opposite...
Low morale? are you shitting me, i work as a machinist a jack of all trades with machines, i did a welding job and this is the first time in 2 years i heard one of the things i had welded broke apart and we had to send a spare that i had also made. I asked abit and they were extremely chill, dont worry about it they told me, sometimes it runs abit hard and breaks no biggie. I bombarded my teamlead with questions, why did it break, how did it break, are there photos of it, was it installed in a wrong way, was it running too fast in the machines, above the norm. My team lead told me to just drop it, it is cool. I went with the blueprint to the office and told them to make changes so it never effing breaks again so it is welded tightly, and yea i live in sweden as well, low morale my ass, own up to the issue and do better. When people tell you to stop nerfing, stop fucking up, when there are hundreds of channels on youtube giving advice with tens of thousands loving the ideas that are put forth, thats the feedback that arrowhead needs to take to hearth. Long effing rant but i loved playing helldivers 2 it is such a great effing game and seeing this game that was so good and seeing it destroyed by the very same people who made it just angers me.
That seems to be the norm with games nowadays sadly. Meta and balance are the most important thing now, so instead of getting a bunch of fun broken stuff, we get one decent jack of all trades weapon, and everything else using that as a baseline. Like the ORIGINAL Modern Warefare 2, not the garbage from 2021, you had a range of guns all stupidly overpowered, but since they all were good it was fun. Now look at the new Modern Warefare. M4A1 is really good, and every other rifle is the same but with minute changes, and the broken guns are one single setup on a select few, that are guaranteed to get nerfed.
@tready2850 Imagine coming back from vacation to a shitshow. "But it was their own doing!" Ooookkaayy.. they're still coming back to a shitshow. It's not like it was their intention to ruin the game. They probably thought they were doing right, but now are realizing that they messed up bad. They're probably thinking can we even fix this and is it even worth it at this point. Morale is going to be low. There is obviously a huge disconnect along with miscommunication. Btw I'm not saying the game is in a good state or defending their actions but was only trying to show how morale could be low.
I have an idea on how to shake up the overall galactic war: a region of space where the bugs and bots make contact with each other. It's a heavily contested region where Helldivers do missions! Yep, 3-sided battles! Bots vs bugs vs Helldivers all on the same planet! Let's do this!
That sounds fun, but let's be honest about it. The only reason the bugs are issue for us is because there's only four hell divers. If they tried taking on the bots, they'd be stomped into the ground.
@MrBartolbe42 True, bots are definitely the more difficult fight but I suppose it could be evened out by bug number? Like, make the bots the defender of a defense mission against the bugs. Helldivers shoot down, take the defenses from bots while holding bugs back then finish the game having control of the objective for x time? Idk, more bug breaches lul.
@joethestrat If they removed certain units from the bot side I could see it working. But just think about how many bugs it would take to bring down a hulk, and then there the gunships.... and the rocket devastaters.... Yeah.... Typing this out now, the only way it would work is if the bots weren't able to respawn in units but the bugs could.
Un-nerf the nerfed content and buff the low tier content. It really is that straight forward. The community is telling the devs how to fix the game and they're not listening
Of course they won't listen they got huge egos. They think they know better. The customer is always right basic fuckin business. If I go to McDonald's and order a big mac but the employee insists that I should order a chicken sandwich then im taking my business elsewhere
You and everyone else doesn't get it. "These decisions ie nerfing have long lead in times" They were discussed, agreed on signed off on. A long time ago and then implemented. Former ceo is just trolling us.
They are not even trying to listen to what we want, then at shocked when we tell them this isn't what we want it's the opposite. Like it's 100% on them for not learning from their mistakes. Definition of insanity, anyone?
@@byronmoore5273 no you're the one that's not understanding it. It may take weeks for them to finish it. I highly doubt that but give them the benefit of the doubt. The community has been up in arms about content nerfs since they nerfed the breaker. And since then they just keep rolling them out. If you're half way through something and you know people aren't going to like it, you don't finish it and go " we're sorry" it's a waste of resources and time
@@GlitchUnlimited The developers do what they are told, if they developed a bad update its because they were told to, which has been confirmed in the past as it was either shams or johan who talked about failed communication bringing out things like bad nerfs. The devs are not to be blamed, and people blaming them for these things is the kind of reason their morale is low.
I was reading comments while listening, went up and saw him dump a full commando and an OPS on a bile titan for it to not die lol, then I went back to the comments
Remember, the devs made fun of the community before for complaining about nerfs, and the old ceo knew about the psn requirements 6 months prior. I completely lost faith in them.
It was funny the first 2 time when they mocked us but they keep doing it like so many times. I remember a patch before the whole psn bs they released the quasar, slugger and some other nerf and everyone lost their shit and they were like "Hey why don't you guys actually try playing the game before complaining". We did, and it felt worse then before.
@@rickdiesel2k And it wasn't implemented AT ALL, not even a "Link to PSN Account? Yes/No/Create an Account" prompt before/during the game booting up. The game was also sold in countries where PSN is unavailable and when the "requirement" was finally implemented people in those countries were banned from playing a game they had paid for and played just a day beforehand.
HD2 had rock solid foundation, but the devs fucked it all up with their "tweaks" and nerfs. They can't even get their game back to square 1, let alone to build upon it. Complete incompetence and a testament how not to do live service.
The design team did an amazing job with the animations, textures, particle effects, weapons, enemies, etc. Too bad all of that amazing work is being overshadowed by the balance teams awful decision making.
Cause the gameplay designer quit just a little before launch. 😂 He and couple other went on and found a studio. I guess they had enough with AH. The moral thing kinda tells about toxicity in there.
Because the game is going to shit due to a failure of communication between departments and the devs are the one that have to fix all these problems. Their morale will be low because of being completely overwhelmed by things they need to do, especially because these nerfs to weapons, for example flamethrowers, was due to the lack of communication with the devs at what the new goal was, and because of that they have to redo a lot of things. Thats just the basics of it, but overall development is a difficult job and when you need to go back and get rid of all the hard work you did that can be a serious downer.
Also remember that not everyone takes their vacation at the same time, it's usually staggered around half/half so not zero people are working at any one time.
Here’s a plot twist don’t go on fucking vacation when your game is in shambles . Or a better idea , if it can’t be helped , CUT THE VACATION SHORT !! Get back to fucking work !! These devs are a bunch of pussies I swear they complain about bad morale but produce nothin but lies and bullshit . Get to the grinding stone and give us another reason to get back in the hellpods . 500+ hours completing missions for super earth and they can’t even update the game correctly lmao
Unhappy devs? Well maybe if the nerf team stopped nerfing everything to the ground they would be happy. The game ironically would've been better without a balance team.
You're wrong in your take, they are unhappy because we AREN'T happy with their stupid vision of nerfs, they love to nerf stuff and since we're pissed and threatening to sink the ship for once, that's why they unhappy...
Along with that... Can I get a self-destruct option for the Mechs? Running out of ammo then just leaving it behind feels bad. Let me enter the strategem a second time and arm the self-detonation... ...even if a friend is using my mech 😂😂😂
I really like the emotional blackmail/extortion the developers are dropping "We would have gotten you all this fun stuff but you guys feel we should focus on lame things like balance and optimization.".
@@rayzerotI’m a DRG guy but it still continually blows my mind how bad the crashing was I saw about 3 different videos And the differences between AMD and NVidia was crazy then I saw controller disconnect physics bugs really hard crashing and this is all down with kernel level anti cheat It’s nuts to me how they continually spin the horrible balances updates and act like performance is in a good spot I’ve seen the special Olympics quadriplegics move faster then these devs release performance updates
I do not feel sorry for the devs. How long and how many times have we been talking to them about this over and over and over. We have literally been begging for them to stop. And now all the sudden their ass hurt.
@@smoldoggy1005 Sir, this is a videogame, not an execution. But still a good example, it's not communicated to the firing squad which person has the actual live round for the killing shot. Much like management not correctly communicating the vision to the devs.
7:15 My man you really don't played enough against the bots to know how great the eagle smoke is. I can't describe how exceptionally useful and versatile the useage of it.
Fingers crossed we can get the game back on track of being fun and good and stable. Less focus on "balance", and more focus on fun and enjoyment please ArrowHead.
I have ZERO pity for the devs. I honestly think they're full of shit and will say whatever because their words don't match their actions We used to get patches once a week but they cancelled that so they could "make more meaningful" changes but that didn't happen. Instead it now takes a month to get some minor patch or even just a fix for something. If they break something in a patch it now takes a month or longer to get fixed... If ever Then they took a two month break and told us that it's because they need to recharge their batteries and enjoy family time. The whole while they left the game burning and sinking Then they come back and have the gall to blame US the players for their low morale?? Trying to gaslight their player base and saying it's because of us that they have low morale and now they need even MORE time to do their patching. Like WTF?
Since prayers never works I'll give it a try: I hope that Helldiver 2 never get fixed. That the company files for bankruptcy so Johan can go home and play warhammer with his Lizardmen. Anything to keep him out of game development. We don't need liars.
To rearm the mechs will be a static base? Walking back to the base while everyone is progressing won't be boring or slow the game down at all. Why use a method whose only purpose is to interrupt action as long as possible?
The only way I see vehicles coming in, is if there is a driving down a straight lane type mission and having to stop the vehicle to refuel/take out enemy anti vehicle installations/destroy obstacles. I think that this would be pretty cool and keep an ATV from being able to trivialize a normal mission type.
I don’t care if devs are sad. Everyone is mad because of what devs did. If they didn’t want the headache they should’ve listened to the fans . The fans who elevated them , bought their product and supported them
low morale after insulting the fans and believing their game was gonna do so well it wouldnt matter if they let the mask slip. then their game crashed and burned-now they are forced to work on the game to appease the fans they hate, and theyre heated about it.
Remember when the devs literally mocked us during the early days for being unhappy with nerfs. Yeah, fuck them. I'm getting close to feeling apathetic for this game and this team. The next patch is really gonna make or break it for me.
What are you talking about? Sony is not going to change their EULA. They arent gonna sell in other countries. AH cant force the Publisher to change lol
@@wonderfred you know what else isn't a human right? EVERYTHING. Rights are things we came up with and the universe doesn't give a shit, it's ridiculous to compare a fictional game to a fictional law, as if one is more important than the other. They both don't matter
I question why it has taken sony so long to make these decisions. For such a large company you would think they would just be happy with the W from the sales. Roughly $720000000 is an insane number
They wanted to artificially inflate the number of psn users so they can boast them to the shareholders. When that backfired and sony stocks plummeted, the shareholders wanted to pull out, so they had the ceo and other guys sacked. Public Companies nowadays just want to impress shareholders. That's why you do like valve does and make it private.
@@Ghostface2252at this point I’m wondering why the games aren’t back in those countries that got banned tbh, I feel ArrowHead is delaying adding those countries back simply because it means less people getting mad over nerfs and less work they have to do in total due to low player counts
SEAF troopers were supposed to be in game like 4 months ago. Theyre blaming it on whats happening now? Its like we activated their trap card, now we have to believe their lies.
I want a stratagem that’s basically a UAV drone that helps locate samples and enemies during the mission. But the main thing I want is the nerfs reverted… game just doesn’t feel fun anymore
"stability and balance controversies get in the way of us giving you amazing new stuff" Funny how shooting yourself in the foot keeps you from running at full speed, eh, AH?
I don't care about customization, colors, weapon upgrades...I want the programmers to sort out the enemy attack origin. The enemies can't keep coming from random spawn points
Yeah spawn in should definitely be from predictable areas. Having a map with objectives near the edges is messy af with patrols teleporting in right on top of you. At least make it a breach/drop so we have a chance to manage it. It's still playable if you pay attention but it gets messy on extract.
I find it hard to feel bad for the devs and their morale when they chose to go through on the vacations, and somehow left the most tone-deaf and dismissive devs and community people back in the studio. I’m praying they can change but mine and the communities patience is running thin
HOLY MOLY just add more damage to everything! This is so brain dead, just publish a hotfix and give every weapon 20% more damage so they at least WORK while they drag their feet with yet more discussions.
So your solution is to make the game trivial to play even at higher levels? Because I'm playing it and still hitting a 90% win rate with randoms and premades at level 7-8, sometimes 9s (and yes, occasionally we don't extract on 9 but we still complete the mission in almost every game). TF you're all talking about it like it's this Uber difficult game. Go play Auric missions in Darktide and cry harder...
Okey so let me understand their point, if I do a bad job in my work, I should tell my boss that he can't be angry at me for the fuck up cause it hurts my feelings ? xD
Correct me if I'm wrong, so the flamethrower is bugged at the start by having the physics of tf2 flamethrower the fire particles pass thru the body of the target/charger so it burns the weak innards of the target and doing more damage, so back to present the patch is installed and fixed how the flame particles collide with enemies especially the armor ones like the charger. But tbh, just one sentence for them, if it broken don't fix it. The breaker and flamethrower shouldn't suffer just because of it but instead let it be like it was before because they ain't really that broken they are "reliable".
That was just a BS excuse. If it was really a bug, they would have put it on the known bugs list. And on the fixed bugs list, when they did it, they're just gaslighting as usual.
I think it's no secret now that there is a rogue faction of devs inside Arrowhead who are pushing these terrible design choices. They have standing and their ideas are being used over other devs, who may have better ideas. At best, this faction of devs are incompetent. At worst, they're actively sabotaging the game as a response to the first round of backlash they received when they nerfed things and then told players to "cry more" and "get good." Pilestedt being on vacation and finding out about the nerf to the flamethrower with shit particle effects is the confirmation I needed for this conclusion. He stepped into the CCO role to rein in this faction, but in his absence they run amok. In these next few weeks, Arrowhead needs to find the cancer and excise it, otherwise this game will die and only be remembered as yet another game that snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Low moral? Ffs they WANTED player rage, ask Fredrik. It's like running head first full speed against a brick wall ignoring advice not to do so and then complaining about a headache.
So tired of running instead of shooting like let me feel powerful let me mow down hordes let me feel ALIVE. If I wanted to run around in circles I’d play Wii fit.
The developers did this to themselves, so don't feel bad for them. If they want praise, then they need to submit good work. If they can't do that, then they don't belong in this industry and should consider a career change better suited for them.
WE THE COMMUNITY gave AH the roadmap they needed to improve the game. Why the Hell are they trying to act like they need ten meetings just to figure ONE change at a time!?
A simple thing to add to armors is taking the ones we have and give them the standard Helldivers black and yellow. Adding those to the super store would be a simple way to have more options to mix armor pieces.
I have serious problem with changes going live without the person giving the direction on the changes knowing the state these changes were going live with. AH is proving time and time again to be a damned clown show.
So they ruin their game while players are explicitly saying “stop the nerfs” then they come and say “your gonna have to wait for anything new we’ve had to many complaints so we have to go back and change everything” there’s 0 accountability on their side, and them hinting at no new stuff coming because the players are upset with the current state of the game is a giant guilt trip and unprofessional asf. They had their fans and the basically spat on them every chance they got
They need to make it so we can fully customize armor colors i cant tell you how many armors i dont use because of the colors even though they look cool as hell
That bit about the eruptor baffles me to no end. They did the insane thing of making a primary fire a stratagem and instead of dialing it back they just removed the functionality entirely.
Sad news because of no flying vehicles? Huh.... The largest maps are small as hell for flying vehicles. They would need to greatly increase the map size inorder to justify flying vehicles. Good luck with that on this old engine.
How can morale already be down with them just getting off a long-a$$ vacation. What are they paying attention to that it's giving them low morale, the players have only been speaking out about what they want in the game that they play!
the devs let the mask slip early on when their numbers were high. they hate the fans, and are not shy about it. they think we are braindead scrubs and dont know how to play the game the way they want us to-which is hilarious, because they cant play the game past level 5 and embarrass themselves every time they stream. they probably thought the game was going to do gang busters, so they could shit on the fans publicly and have no repercussions-only for the game to crash and burn spectacularly. so now theyre forced to work on the game. theyre forced to work for the players they clearly hate, and it makes them mad they simply couldnt take the money and run.
Man exo armor backpack would be awesome! run faster take a little more damage aim stability dive farther and rockets flame thrower auto cannon chem thrower stuns or jump booster as a 3rd weapon replacement when you hold the switch weapon but When the battery dies you lose all the effects till you call in resupply cause those have all supplies and not just ammo
Pilestedt did a talk either to press or share holders don't know. But the current game is exactly what he intended. All these talks are nothing but hot air. Or he has to walk back what he stated during that entire talk he did. Community wants a power fantasy, he wants grunts for the meat grinder. I HEARD HIM SAY THE WORDS.... Damn humanity is ass backwards.
The devs are learning an age old lesson. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Nerfing weapons into the ground and then marginally improving them isn’t a fix. My favorite loadout was a Salamander esque loadout and they nerfed it all into the ground because it was “too reliable” and then released an incendiary warbond like ok wtf? This is just super dumb to me that they would even do any of this, your morale at the studio wouldn’t be low if you weren’t focused on making the game not fun and expected players to be ok with it.
They say that they are stopping doing "spreadsheet nerfs/'balances' to the game" yet they have a MO that will give them a GIANT spreadsheet of pretty much every weapon against every bug by the end of the MO so they can possibly do more spreadsheet nerfs/changes vs just listening to the fans and making weapons not nerf toys made of glass. EDIT:Morale shouldn't be anywhere near low if they had held to the original nerf/apology cycle we have gotten used to and quit nerfing after that first big bad patch. They dug this hole, accidentally or on purpose idk which, but if they would have "listened to the fans/community" like they said from the first apology would have this game in an entirely different position compared to where we are now
Listen I'm not going to claim that I'm the best two player or that I'm even that good but dude stop using the scythe like a regular gun that reloads jesus
Dev morale is low? Good. Seeing as commercial and critical success resulted in the current mess of a game, maybe community hatred and the spectre of future financial failure will lead to an actual good patch being made before the player-base dies. Not holding my breath though.
I don't think we need vehicles in HD2. It's supposed to be an on-foot game. We have mech suits, and that's as far as they need to go. With flying or ground vehicles, traveling around and killing enemies would be far too easy and fast. Getting to the other side of the map needs to be something you consider and prepare for, not something you just do on a whim and it takes 5 seconds.
Closing testservers is a horrible idea, if they don't already have closed testing, no wonder their game is bugged, they should rather allow the puplic to apply for limited servers, to playtest, and then give colective feedback, i think overwatch has or had something like that if i remember correct. Way better than having them sign NDAs and then get your stuff leaked anyways
I've lost hope. All of this and not what needs to be done. BUFF. THE. FUCKING. GUNS. My primary has an extended mag, foregrip, purple unicorn red dot, glowing camo skin, see through rubber collapsing self massaging stock. But my weapon DOESNT FUCKING KILL THE ENEMIES!!!
All i want to see in this game is a minigun with ammo backpack, i wanted so bad in the first one and i still feel like i miss it in this one too... I know every problem they have right now, but i cant just give up with a game that gave me so much fun in the past, so ill keep waiting for them to fix the game, the game is in an "early access" state after all...
Do you remember as a kid if you didn’t get a passing grade you had to go to summer school this is what the devs should of done during there vacation because the game was like a D+ when they were on vacation 😂
I haven’t been on all week. Black Myth Wukong has been the new fun game. I did see how we were doing on the MO last night and saw less then 12k were online. Ouch.
Airburst shrapnel is not too much. Thats perfect for a game like this. The price you paid was collateral damage. This is much easier than arrowhead is making it
I don't buy that some of their developers are still on vacation, not for this long. Seriously it feels this game wasn't done and rushed out the door because if it wasn't then why do they have to keep patching, sometimes patching patches. The content just isn't there, there really isn't that many maps, not that many games modes, kinda feels like a dungeon crawler on rinse and repeat, players much rather more modes than ways to put color on armor. Maybe add weather hazards and a day and night cycle, at night make certain type of enemies on come out then and make them tougher not to mention stop nerfing weapons people actually like. If they keep going down the path they are this game will end.
Helldivers 2 shows us how much people are looking for games like this, when Helldivers 2 appears, we only had Starshiptroopers and Darktide, similar, but now Space Marines 2 (I bought it now haha) is coming, I don't see Helldivers being better in the future
the devs let the mask slip early on when their numbers were high. they hate the fans, and are not shy about it. they think we are braindead scrubs and dont know how to play the game the way they want us to-which is hilarious, because they cant play the game past level 5 and embarrass themselves every time they stream. they probably thought the game was going to do gang busters, so they could shit on the fans publicly and have no repercussions-only for the game to crash and burn spectacularly. so now theyre forced to work on the game. theyre forced to work for the players they clearly hate, and it makes them mad they simply couldnt take the money and run.
Great so they had their holiday and now they are feeling sorry for themselves. I believed in these devs for so long and I just feel like someone in an abusive relationship that constantly got told they'll change but nothing happens.
Shoots Bile Titan 3X in the face with launcher 3:30 still has to drop orbital on it Titan is still alive after orbital: Developers "We don't know what's wrong with our game"
He hit 4 commando rockets on the titans back (NOT the head) whilst it was spewing as well (damage resistance whilst in this animation). This would not kill it. The orbital precision strike didn’t even hit the titan btw, it hit the mountain behind it. The game is rough yes, but this was literally all skill issue; wait until it’s done spewing and hit your shots accurately, or lure the titan out to a more clear area to hit with precision strike.
2:21 yea but if everyone in your comment section started to backlash and hate your videos and every time you tried something new they hated you even more would you still be all happy and perked up about making new videos? yea i don't think so
well when the fanbase you built is actively telling you not to do something and you do it anyway, you won't have a fanbase, goes for yt creators and dev companies
Devs are usually not the guys calling the shot and deciding what should be done. Team leader is here for this. They just did hard work according to decisions made by others
they just need to stop looking at their spreadsheet and actually have permanent non bias testers to tell them what feels and doesn't feel good. but what i think will happen is them now overbuffing everything to the point nothing will ever get nerfed again and Helldivers2 will just be another 0 challenge hordeshooter *cough Deep Rock Galactic
Imagine if his comments and subs said "we don't like this particular edit you keep using. It's makes your videos hard to watch and enjoy" And he kept doing it. Then said he'd stop using it because he reads the comments. Then kept using it. And people started commenting "I'm not watching anymore. I can't stand this edit you keep using" And he makes a video saying "I heard you guys. I'm not going to use it anymore" Then he used it in the next video. Then said he doesn't like negative comments because it lowers his morale and makes him not want to make videos. What should he do? Use the edit again?... Or not use it? Probably not use the edit.
They’ve already lost my care and faith in being good developers. They had a golden goose with this game but they flopped so hard that the goose is on life support. My cape has already been incinerated and I’m awaiting Space Marine 2. Let Super Earth fall.
Would love to see some power armor stategem plus some heavy weapons for it like minigun, laser, plasma cannons and nasty melee weapons- real heavy hitting stuff...
So you wanna play a space marine in the upcoming video game called Space Marine 2? 😋 I jest, it's all I good fun. But you've touched on something important. When I play Helldivers, I wanna play as an ODST from Halo / as a hyper competent spec ops commando from Metal Gear Solid. I wanna experience being a normal, regular, unagumented human, who just happens to have the best physique and equipment a normal baseline human can have, and still achieve incredible feats in spite of my frailty. That's the niche that Helldivers fills. That's the thing that very very few other games provide. The satisfaction of taking out bases, achieving missions and neutralising hundreds of bugs and bots, by using clever movement, real military tactics and air dropped stratagems, all *'despite'* being a regular ol' squishy human. If I instead wanna stand on a mound of alien corpses, feet firmly planted on the hill and holding my ground, unyielding to the foe and clad in inpenatable power armour, firing thousands and thousands of rounds from my chaingun into teeming hordes of infinite bugs, slaying yncountable hordes with effortless ease... then I'll stop playing Helldivers, and start playing space marine instead. It really is that simple. Don't get me wrong; nothing's wrong with preferring one playstyle to the other. Both gamestyles can be incredibly fun and very rewarding to play... but for very different reasons. The playerbase isn't even mutually exclusive. Some days I wanna be a sneaky-beaky commando. Other days I wanna be an unstoppable juggernaut. The same customer can play both games and find both of them fun... but they are different experiences. Helldivers should should be Helldivers/ the ODST GSM we never received from Bungie
