It really is something when the CEO is better in tune with the players than some of the employees. I've started to dread patches ever since the community found out the lead balance dev os is the same guy that drove the Hello Neighbor franchise into the ground by not listening to community complaints but the CEO's response is making me a bit more optimistic.

You're always gonna have problematic people in a big organization; or even just normal people cracking under pressure / making mistakes. That's why it's very important for leadership to be more in tune so that solutions and mind set can trickle down. That's why Blizzard has NEVER recovered; their leadership is toxic so good employees are ruined and bad employees are empowered.

We are fighting monsters in space as cloned soldiers with implanted memories, unlimited number of ftl capable ships.....the alien pulse rifle holds 99 rounds and noone cares... the guns in starship troopers hold as many as the director thinks they need to at any given moment and only run out when they need a character to die.... we have 60 round stanag mags for guns on earth today... he specified 45 rounds being the upper end for stanag equivalent... I'm sure super earth has figure out some dimensional pocket tech, or uses magnets instead of springs to have as many rounds as possible

I have a better idea. How about helmets that have features for what they look like such as a gas helmet, night vision, thermal etc etc.

I was hoping for helmets with this so we can actually utilize the smoke cover stratagem. Napalm immunity would be fun too just like with electric.

it's a wild idea but maybe have the balance team play a few matches once and a while, the Devs had a sleeper hit on their hands and have fought everystep of the way to fumble it.

Yeah it's crazy how much this community is willing to put up with because the core idea of the game is amazing. Like, I get fucking up once in a while. Nobody is perfect and sometimes you can't make everybody happy. But this game has disaster after disaster strike it and the community while very harsh in it's criticism, never actually gives up on the game. Please devs, let us live this game. We are begging for you to make it worthwhile for us to spend more money. Just do it!

Frankly I doubt it would change anything. Like really, if you saw 4 devs complete a few difficulty 9 every few patches, would that really change your opinion about their balance decisions? Goal post would likely just move. Like if you saw a dev going up against bugs with the eruptor and arc thrower; and really only using the eruptor against bug holes or at range; and the dev goes "yup eruptors fine". Like they barely used it for combat, how can they say it is fine? It used to par well with the Stalwart, now it no longer has the anti-medium capabilities to do that well.

They said in the beginning with the breaker/railgun nerf that they don't want a "meta". So why are they nerfing everything so only the punisher-AET/AMR is a viable loadout? They're creating a meta by nerfing any better alternatives.

I mean, I created a script to randomize load outs and mission success isn't really affected. Dont mix meta with fun. You can use almost everything, it's just not all fun.

Yeah the issue with thier statement is there will always.. and I mean always be a meta.. period.. no one ever has made a game where ( unless the weapons were numerically the same damage) things were perfectly balanced. So they need to stop with the nerfing and think fun.

Couldn’t agree more. Fun should be the primary guiding principle for balancing. Not trying to prevent a meta which will create a meta. It’s getting annoying at this point. One gun option for bugs. The same stratagems all the time. Fuck. What a great time it’s been. Seems even the best of the current game developers can’t even figure out that all we want is fun and power. PVE is not PVP. Unless the devs are playing as the bugs and bots?! Perhaps they are and then it all makes sense lol. I hope for a better future but don’t expect it.

This isnt to attack helldivers devs directly but on a whole for all devs. What is with all these low quality devs working on these games? We go back to mid 2000s with halo and other select games, these games came out and never needed balancing. Their selection of weapons were vast and tuned borderline perfect for their rolls of weakness and strength. Now games need multiple patches of buffs and nerfs to have a gun even close to balanced.

I still miss the OG 2009 MW2. Everything in that game was balanced because _everything_ was OP. Noob Tube with One Man Army Pro? Busted. Tactical Knife with Commando Pro? Busted. Suppressed UMP-45 with the stealth perks? Busted. Running around with Marathon Pro and a SPAS-12? Busted. Even Throwing Knives could be busted in a skilled player's hands. _Everything_ in the OG MW2 was so fun because it was _all_ overpowered. And when everything is overpowered, everything is balanced. Game devs have forgotten this simple fact.

Because "Live Service" games became the mainstream game state. Older games didn't have DLCs or new elements added to it, though they finished the game and released it in a state they realized as the final product. I wish they'd do that some more nowadays...

What I don't get is the warbonds are name whatever they're named but the gear and stuff has nothing to do it. Polar Patriot snow theme at least have a passive or something that helps you transverse through snowy planets better instead of having to use the booster which doesn't do much.

I disagree entirely, except for the most recent ones. Steeled Veterans? Lots of robot arms, very terminatory. Cutting Edge? Lots of high tech stuff like the plasma shotty and sickle, resistance to arc damage and all that. Democratic Detonation : Everything is some form of explosive! Polar Patriots though, yeah I hope we get something cold related for armor.

My opinion after the nerfs to the last warbond pass, is I will not spend money on a game that they are going to turn around and nerf the guns to the ground in a month anyway.

Honestly I think if they want us to feel like we are just meat for the grinder in harder difficulties, then we need two things: 1.more lives 2.shorter cooldowns I feel like the game has just become "run away simulator"

This... And not only that. It's also those stupid ragdoll effects that fling you to oblivion every time especially bots shoot at you. You are helpless - can't react, the input is taken from you during crucial moments (on Helldive it's so annoying I have no idea if those developers played their own game and consider being constantly shot at and tossed around to be fun), also fall damage is idiotically sensitive. Also, how can the smallest bug enemy take 70% of my health bar in one swoop? What the hell? There are hundreds of them coming at you and one single shithead can take 50-70% of your health by jumping at you. There's way too many things like this. It just stopped being fun.... that's sad because it has so much potential!

I want the Starship Trooper AR so badly too. I'm tired of having to use guns that are single shot precision, etc... I just want a primary AR that can stand it's ground. Hell, there is LITERALLY no point in taking the Tendorizer. It only resupplies 5 magazines while the other ARs get 10.

Power fantasy is exactly why i STILL use the Sickle despite the nerf (halved the mag count) It just feels so incredibly fun to launch thousands of rounds down range at a swarm of bugs or mowing down an automaton patrol. My buddy who I play with will have like 3-6 hundred rounds with an SMG, and I'll have 3-4k with the Sickle, yet I also use reloads significantly less than he does xD

Like...that's an example of a nerf that actually makes the gun more interesting to use. Having to play around the heatsink instead of just turning your brain off and holding down LMB. People that complain about losing three extra mags (and literally nothing else) like it destroyed the gun apparently entirely forget they have secondary and support weapons to switch to. I like nerfs that make you more thoughtful about how you use a weapon so it isn't braindead, but don't necessarily hamper the effectiveness of the weapon itself when used well. AKA the complete opposite of the eruptor's shrapnel removal and the crossbow "rework"

This is like what happened between Borderlands 2 & 3. Do not make your players feel weak or even average. It’s pve, we are supposed to be powerful. In BL3 we went from feeling like Vault Hunters to the common Bandit and the player count reflects that.

@@KaaneDragonShinobi There's a difference between a game being harder, and "feeling weak". in BL3 for some reason the guns, character don't have that much impact, guns aren't as fun to use, farming is especially more boring.

Customizable weapons was one of the funnest parts of the mass effect 3 multi-player system where you could add armor penetration, damage, radar, ammo, recoil reduction or custom sights to your weapons in 2 slots

Ok? It's still not gonna stop you from logging into the game one day and go, "Oh, all these things I loved using all of a sudden just stopped being fun because of how inefficient it now is" Knowing what's "good" won't change the fact that things are still getting nerfed to the point of ruining the fun. If everything is getting Nerfed, then you will experience this regardless of what you choose

7:30 I don't think that the balance devs share the CEO's vision. I think that when a weapon can find a way to make a dangerous enemy manageable, the dev team calls it an exploit. Chargers and BTs are becoming impossible to deal with unless you bring anti tank weapons and high single target stratagems. It's like the biggest and baddest enemies are sacred cows to the balance team and they want us defecating bricks every time one comes on screen. Every nerf feels hostile and it doesn't make the game more challenging, just more annoying.

Individual chargers are a joke because it's just a bull-fight with an especially dull cow. The actual threat is the swarm of hunters that spawn directly on top of you while you're busy dodging 5 chargers, 3 titans, some spewers and hey did we get that shrieker ne- Helldiver KIA x4 - Allied super destroyer has left battle x3

I can actually get behind that kind of philosophy for the game. But the big problem is, players won’t ever feel that way when they spawn WAY TOO FUCKING MANY of them. My last mission had like 6-8 chargers 2 titans and tons of hunters and stalkers within 30 seconds of the initial drop. That’s not gonna make me shit bricks, it’s just gonna make me roll my eyes and go “meh, this shit again.” The factory strider showing up the 1st time was a definite “oh shit” moment especially with how rarely they spawn.

The problem with having the medal cap at 250 is that it will demotivate the most hardcore players in the game. Those are the players who keep the game alive. So say you’ve unlocked everything in all 5 warbonds and have reached the medal cap of 250 3 weeks prior to the next warbond being released. You are not earning anything during those 3 weeks and you feel you are not playing for a reason. Now if the game was fun to play that might be different but the game just isn’t fun to play anymore.

yeah when you have maxed samples and medals the only motivation to do POIs is Super Credits, but with the new Warbond being ass you don’t even need those really. Once you’re capped the incentive is to just speedrun main and side objectives and extract.

The way they should balance the weapons is to have them be high tier at first and then buff the rest up to their level. It's a pve game, you can just add more enemies or buff them later down the line

this ceo is awesome! i do hope he can get the message across to devs like Alexus (Mr "making games fun is my job description") because reduced ammo and nerfed damage don't make for a fun game. this game is PVE, every gun should be a little bit crazy, why? because its FUN. just look at the heavy machine gun, it didn't even have a 3rd person reticle when it was released, and now it still has a tiny 75 mag loooong reloads and only 2 mags. buff that mag up to ATLEAST 150! give us a gatling gun that slows movement while firing but has RIDICULOUS RoF, hell make it a laser gatling gun like a big-boy version of Sickle with ramping up RoF and infinite ammo. let us take a second pistol instead of primary to have dual wield. let us aim while using jetpack! buff jetpack hang time and reduce cooldown! give the AR rover infinite resupplies and increase ammo per mag. add a rocket rover that fires a missile and then returns to backpack for a reload! give us a drone that we can fly around, maybe make it explosive or give it a weapon!

Railgun got absolutely gutted. The current version is ok, still doesn't feel like a railgun though. I can see them trying to balance support weapons so everyone is taking only one. Primaries though, there are so many that are just pointless even just on fun factors. They shouldn't be trying to micro them to death, just give each a niche and make them good at that niche. So many are just good at nothing, or no niche.

Having peashooters with a shitty ammo economy isn't exactly fun.. I've felt pretty restricted in what weapons I can use, the sickle and Blitzer are fun but they are getting boring imo.

I'm very happy that they cut the helmet feature thing because as a medic myself I don't want to get locked into using one helmet when it might not even match with my armor because there's no shaders yet or I just simply don't like the look but that's on a personal level

yeah so the way they are balancing is really problematic i agree. The problem is when a gun is strong it will take a massive nerf shortly afterwards, but then they do little to nothing to make the weaker weapons good. They are giving us really strong guns, making them weak, and not making weak guns strong. so when it comes to me looking at my load out, I don't have the options of weak or strong, i have the option of weak, weaker, and weakest

I feel like capes could give very small buffs: Light Materials: +15% Movement Speed Insulated Fibers: +10% Fire Resistance Stuff that would give a meaning but wouldn’t affect gameplay too much

Ditch it all together and allow differnt skills for differnt armours for req points, and make more unique skills, only limitation i can think of is heavy skills have to be on heavy armour, armour isnt distinct enough to warrent these locked skills

I disagree. Imagine your favorite cape or helmet getting a passive that you don't like, perhaps not you but I'm sure many ppl would never use it again because it is straight up handicapping themselves. I already have this problem with some of the armors, where I rarely get to use my favorite ones (in terms of looks) because they don't have the combination of stats and passives I want for the mission. This, I think, would be specially problematic with capes we have particular attachments to (like with Malevelon Creek or fending off Sony, if we ever get that one). I think its good to have some equipment slots that remain purely cosmetic and I think leaving helmets and capes for that is a good compromise.

Divisive is not Diversive, two different things.... Divisive which was written means: causing or tending to cause disagreement or dissension. Diversive which is what you said is: 1 having variety; assorted. 2 distinct in kind. I don't think anyone is talking about the variety of nerfs or changes.... They are however talking about them coming between helldivers. When editing, watch the final before posting. Its the little things that turn people away.

Bayonet was a upgrade available to many weapons in the first helldivers it increased your melee damage simple as.

on the note of melee weapons: Helldivers 1 had bayonoettes. They changed the melee attack from a smack with the stock to a stab. The damage increase was significant, and would let you kill lighter enemies easily, though it wasn't a good idea to try stabbing anything big. On that note, i kinda wish they had the upgrade system from Helldivers 1 added to the weapons, so you could use resources to purchase stuff like expanded magazines, etc. for various weapons.

For Medal/Requisition cap it would be cool to allow players to pick 1 of 3 buffs for their loadout from a pool: things like +1 Eagle ammo, reduced cooldown for a stratagem, extra ammo capacity for a Support weapon, etc. Some way to spend your currency while giving you more incentive to hunt those POI’s.

The best way to get use out of extra samples and req would be to give us optional ammunition for our primary. Flamer rounds, Tesla rounds, Acid rounds, Explosive rounds - Could use some samples and req for 1 mission, even give it levels 1-3 grade for more/better materials Temporary mods for weapons/armor/vehicles - Better acceleration/braking, better recoil control/higher rpm, less/more detection by scent for bugs

Excessive currency can be used for one time purchases for the mission (remove spores, rain, increase mag sizes, extra stratagem, reduced cooldowns slot etc)

I never saw this game about being on the front lines mowing down enemies, it's about being some 20 year old kid who was brainwashed to die for Super Earth, they are underprepared and poorly supplied. They are just there to help target the real big guns from the ship. Everything in the game is designed to make you scared, constantly running and running out of ammo and stims that you need to share with your team. Players will optimize the fun out of games, and I think a lot of the community cares more about feeling strong than having fun. Barely surviving make the times you pull off a "John Helldiver" moment even better.

I stand by that too but most of the guns just feel like they’re literally only good against the smallest of enemies. That’s why the AMR is so good. You can run it with any primary and make it work since you’re going to be using the AMR for anything that isn’t fodder. I think they just need to add more flinch to the bots and make the medium enemies a tiny bit more squishy on the bugs side. I’m not saying we should be able to mow down 10 brood commanders in 10 seconds with the liberator. Just that I shouldn’t have to feel like switching to my support when I’m facing 1 commander. Unless you run the punisher on bugs, this will be the case. And this is from someone that’s been annoyed with all the whiners in this community.

Helldivers 1 was the opposite, you were an unstoppable force, well armed and well equipped, supported by overpowered weaponry and vehicles, fighting against a truly endless horde of enemies that were so numerous, they could overcome your overwhelming superiority. That made things more intense when the odds went against you, that was when you ran away. This game doesnt quite match up, but if it was the same as helldivers 1 but just in 3rd person, itd be so, so, SO much more fun.

In fact in Helldivers 1 there was a weapon that had a bayonette attached to it and it increased your standard melee damage. But I used it quite often as it allowed me to oneshot the smaller enemies.

Current balancing has made playing solo ridiculous. I used to be able to wait for friends to log on with level 5/6 missions now I am forced to play 3 because the guns suck and there's 500% more enemies. I want to feel like an intergalactic bad ass, not running for my life for 40 minutes straight on a level 4 because some dude named "Alexus" is wildly under qualified for their position.

This is crazy, really. Anyone else forget about all the tears when erupter got nerfed? (BTW, it got nerfed because people were crying over shrapnel self kills) If i was AH, I would release dog shit weapons and then buff them later on. People were threatening to quit over the erupter nerf. You get what you get when the community is how it is.

The issue is that the weapons in the warbond are made months ago. The Tenderizer was initially better than the Liberator. However, they buffed the Liberator some time ago and because of that the Tenderizer is basically the same as the "new" Liberator right now. You gotta remember that they finished up the entire year of warbonds already, and now struggeling with balancing each new weapon they release and will release 🤫

You know a game is good when the CEO of the company that makes it plays it too. I love the connectivity we have with Arrowhead’s CEO. This game is young it’s going to have hiccups but in time this CEO will make sure it’s only gets better.

Helldivers 1 had good balance imo. The weapons in that game had upgrade and progression paths that could give the weapon stun rounds or larger magazines. The weapons in helldivers 2 feel like the upgrades from helldivers 1 split across multiple weapons. Just look at the defender smg and the new warbond smg, or the liberator vs explosive liberator, or the breaker shotgun and all its variants

It's insane to think this is the same studio that came up with the toolkit from HD1. Everything felt up to the task at hand back then, even before you purchased some of the DLC kit. I can't recall ever spending 30-120 seconds at a time running around trying to get a single elite mob off my tail in many, many hundreds of hours playing HD1.

We actually had bayonets on some weapons in the first helldivers as an upgrade. Gave extra melee damage as well.

In a non competative PVE game buffing up instead of nerfing down imho is the better approach it makes more options viable while letting people play what they like and does not upset players

Eruptor used to one-shot NURSING spewers. Now unless its a perfect headshot, you sometimes have to 3-tap them... NURSING SPEWERS. Also, if a primary weapon empties its magazine on the head of a broothmother AND it doesn't even blow its head of... A WHOLE MAGAZINE, then the gun is too weak.

Only problem with moving the bottom to match the top weapons is Power Creep. Cause how can you balance the new weapons if everything is top tier. However, getting everything to a balance to where anyone can use almost anything I think will be best. Balance is crucial, and always a revolving door. Just gotta be patient, and keep sending our feedback without attacking the team because they are trying to do their best to give us fun without making the game a push over.

One thing I think they need to do for the longevity of the game, while keeping within the canon, is to make the enemies become resistant to weapons being over used. THEN, make a new weapon, or a new story to get an older weapon boosted and change the meta. People will go and over use that, rinse, repeat. Its a great way to open micro storylines, and give us filler missions between major orders. It would also keep the weapons constantly cycling, refreshing content without having to rush to push out completely new content.

Edit: I'd love for capes to just have a small team bonus like 2% bonus move speed or 4% stamina regen or something, as an "inspirational buff" lol In terms of progression currency limits, I'd like a "black market" where you can trade a small selection of currencies for others that change weekly based on how they were traded for previously (kinda like a stock market). And using it a lot should occasionally trigger your destroyer to treat you as a traitor (as if you left the combat zone) or maybe have other detrimental effects like a special mission or order to "terminate the black market outpost" and cut off your access to the market for X period of time sometimes. That kind of thing

The balance team seems to only look at the "statistics" and not actually play the game , from what i can gather. No joke biggest problem for the game rn. I still think the balance for the game in the first two weeks felt best, in the sense that everything felt fun to use.

Using the railgun as an example for balancing, it just needs more of a defined role. If it's not intended to efficiently deal with all heaies (looking at you Bile Titan) then give it another niche; it's a rail gun, make its unique trait being able to punch through multiple enemies in a row. The higher the charge, the enemies it'll piece through consecutively and the damage will scale up a little more too. They'd probably need to adjust it so puncing through a row off medium/heavy enemies requires much more charge than a row of chaff. Also, I'd remove the safe mode entirely and give more of a sound indicator / leeway before it explodes as lag/timing oddities can lead to some unitended (alhough) funny deaths.

With the point around 13:00, i think the best thing they could do, is make any additional req slips, medals, samples, and so on, add a little towards the liberation% the operaton grants. (like say, if you do the usual 100% map completion, but add in the usual collection of slips and samples and medals, you'd get say, an extra 50% more)

@5:37 you talk about the Railgun being OP, but everyone forgets that it was only OP because of the Playstation5 HOST exploit giving the group +300% more damage and letting people 1 shot bile titans. The Playstation5 HOST was the main reason for the nerf, and you can see the twitch streamer OHdough exposing it long after the Railgun nerfs, the devs had no clue that this was happening and nerfed the gun without knowing, this is how we know the person in charge of balance is winging it with kneejerk reaction. It seems there is either people dont know or memory loss, the Railgun was the only gun capable of doing stuff during the early time other than auto-cannon and people like the youtuber "Crazymrpipz" were bragging about their aiming skills with the Railgun while secretly having their PS5 friend host the game for them, he had people in his comments calling him out on it and he was replying with some pretty petty things. It doesnt matter anymore, noone will read this reply or remember any of that stuff happened.

I think what I love most about HD2 aside from the game itself is just how much Arrowhead communicates with the community. While I know a small dev team vs a corporate entity is a completely different landscape but let's be honest would any of the AAA shooters like Battlefield, COD, R6S, and so many other games be in the state they are in if the dev team simply asked?

I'm honestly curious about what process do the devs apply to game testing tbh. I see claims that they do test the guns, but, it only takes a couple matches to realize how good a weapon is and these guns everyone realized they were bad very quickly except for the Pummeler.

I'm glad the devs let you earn premium currency at the rate that it is, considering the past 2 warbonds that have come out have introduced power creep, than right after they nerf the really good weapons after everyone buys it specifically for that weapon. The only exception being the Sickle since that nerf only touched the amount of magazines on a weapon with effectively infinite ammo. We would have riots in that discord and the steam reviews every balance patch if we were forced to pay for Super Credits.

Quasar being given another FIVE seconds for cooldown is pretty ridiculous too. 3 seconds...maybe. Personally, I think a reload I.C.E. function could be neat; give it 3 ICE blocks so you can instantly refire the cannon OR you can wait the full cooldown. Some folks also rioted over the Sickle having its ammo pool being halved, but honestly, that one doesn't bother me much. In fact, it does encourage me to switch to my secondary to save the ammo break in the Sickle.

One of the biggest improvements i think could be made is a fifth stratagem slot. If you want to run a "meta" build, you got a gun stratagem, shield, railgun, and 500kg. While this isn't what i run, there isn't a lot of breathing room, considering you're losing out on a lot of work with it. I myself lack severly in the chaif control to the point where a handful of bugs kick me out, im not using terrible abilities. As long as they dont go too crazy (say 8 or more) all i think will happen is more diverse ability combinations (such as people actually taking the mech for anything other than eradicate)

I feel... Since the first weapon "balance" patch, they've been chopping the legs off their work horses. My idea is, they maybe give the hormone feed to their ponies. The problem wasn't the good guns. The problem was actually their other guns were kinda mid. They got so many people buying the game because it was fun. They need to make the guns which aren't fun... Fun. Difficulty? They can always make things more difficult from the enemy's end. But don't take a good gun and make it shit. They run the switchboard. They decide whether or not the enemies take a new avenue of attack. But our guns? Don't make them worse. Give us back the railgun and the mags for the breaker. Give the shield backpack the old timer back. Give the erupter it's shrapnel back. And fix that goddamn crossbow. Then fix the other guns. People will find stuff they like. Don't worry about meta builds. The community will sort itself out.

If there was any currency conversion system for medals or samples, it should only be for level xp and nothing more. Everyone should continue to be limited on the medal/sample cap to preserve playerbase.

"I think I Saw Concents of a Cerimonial Saber and Bayonet Somewhere" Those where literally in the First game. Every Rifle had a Bayonet Mount upgrade and the Saber was in the first game but you only got it during certain "challenge" missions on super earth.

I`ve been saying this since first nerfs of railgun and breaker. Balanceing in PVE=creating diverse META. And to do that you need to buff more weapons, not nerf thouse few that are the best! Also, I wish I could talk to devs like that, I think I got some cool concepts people might like in this game.

I've been using the liberator again lately. Turns out general brasch actually does issue us with some of the best weapons super earth produces. I'm level 63 and have unlocked every weapon in every warbond except the last weapon in polar patriots.

Bit better diversity of weapons and load outs you can take in to higher Tiers, and some smoothing of difficulty and mob density for fewer then 4 players are my biggest ‘must haves’. Maybe add a difficulty tier between 7-9. Bring it up to an even 10 Tiers and bump that Tier 7 intensity down a notch. So we still get super samples and all Mob and Mission varieties, just a bit more approachable for a wider range of players and skill levels.

100% agree that they need to take a more "bottom-up" approach to the balancing. Make me want to actually change weapons instead of trying to force me to switch away from the gun I like by making it worse. Also just give the "balancing" a freaking break, I hate having to reevaluate all the weapons every few weeks when a patch drops. This isn't COD, there is no freaking leader-board to worry about, LET US HAVE SOME DAMN FUN!

Feel like they wanted to make the Tenderizer behave more like the Adjudicator, but then they put the adjudicator in the AR category and they didn't want to make that weapon but better so they made it the Liberator but worse, because that makes perfect sense

I think that instead of nerfing the guns they should add enemy's variations that are immune to certain types of damage or stats increased for the most used weapons and the spawn of those enemies can be related to the player's equipment, so this way will increase the challenge to have only one meta and to solve that you need to create variations between your team.

Other issue is the spawn rates, the increase is making it broader line impossible for new players and I think is a big part of why the player counts are dropping. If the CEO ever sees this, do me a favour, go on a Easy mission solo, take a Liberator, precision strike, straffing run and the machine gun and nothing else and play 1 match cause that experince is what your new players are getting, it's the difficulty curve equivalent of running at a brick wall... I did a easy mission full loaded level 50, 300 kills and to extract had to drop a 380, and clusters to make it out

It would be useful if they would tell us what weapon they consider their baseline for performance. That way the players have more insight on why the changes are they way they are, and what direction the game is heading.

I don't mind the sample limits, it's just annoying that I'm always short on only rare samples. I always have plenty of super and common samples but rare samples are the only ones I have to grind for.

I change weapons almost every mission. Not because there is a good balance, it is because every time I drop the guns I am using feel bad to me and it makes me want to switch. I don't care about meta, I just want the guns to be fun.

I feel like stratagems are meant to COMPLIMENT your weapons, but I feel like the devs want us to rely more on using stratagems and our weapons are supposed to just help us, rather than the other way around
