@@MrPawsPauseI open the stratagem menu to cancel but swapping to secondary does the same thing. There is a bit of timing to it though, too late after the shot and it doesn’t work. Sometimes if you do it too quickly it also doesn’t work.
This is my favorite primary/support combo for bugs. IMO you can effectively helldive the MMG without the supply pack (why I use it over the HMG against bugs). Then rock a rocket/AC turret in place of the backpack slot (the other 2 spots are flex so long as 1 of them is anti-tank). I also like not needing a backpack for this build because there is usually a loose guard-dog/jumpPack/shield in the field mid game and the MMG benefits from all of these fairly equally. Worse case, I donn an empty missile pack, reload it with my supply pickup, then function as an ammo mule for a player (or a team reloader on the rare occasion the stars align). It's a really flexible team build against any bug configuration, tops kill charts, and makes quick friends with anti-tank players.
Sorry i take back my comment about the eruptor being able to strip the frontleg armor from chargers apparently they were damaged by some other attack and i happen to hit the leg with the eruptor.. but this loadout is really solid i use this all the time
HMG+supply all day against bots, but IMO it's a bit overkill against bugs as they perform similar against bug armor. If you want to rock the supply pack the HMG will work, but you CAN effectively run the MMG without the supply pack. The mmg has double the mag size, and 600 total rounds (4 mags) to the HMG's 225 (3 mags), so with some trigger discipline and a bit of ammo hunting, you can comfortably run the MMG all day. In the current meta swarms get pretty intense at high levels, so I prefer having a turret assisting my MMG to manage big breaches. It's tough hold a swarm back with weapons alone no matter how much spare ammo you have.
