Sony screwed themselves with me. Im not going to consider another Sony product for anything until I dont see their name in the news cycle about data breeches for a minimum, of one year. Then before I buy anything. Im reading every single line of agreements that are attaching to things. Im giving it, ten minutes. If it takes more than ten minutes to read. Im getting a refund and never looking back at Sony. Id like to just go back to a simple purchase, and plug in gaming experience. No more patches, downloads and launchers.

Steam refunds the gamers but likely didn't lose as much as AH and Sony since they are just a platform that allows Sony to sell their games. But what Sony did was excessively aggressive against Steam's customers because it was forcing them to be PSN users and trying to boss them around on PC platform when they have no right to try and take away a game they sold to Steam players. Steam had to do something about it since Sony was being aggressive and most likely breaking their bargain that they originally had. If not, it might be a player or Steam will sue Sony for aggressive business malpractice. Sony was trying to see if they can get away with it but they fucked around and found out.

Steam has been doing some based shit lately.

Unfortunately, a lot of us depend on these companies. Sony is huge, it has tentacles in everything, it would be a disaster to bring down Sony overnight. Same with Microsoft, and I would not like Nvidia to drop off the face of the Earth right now either. What these companies really need is healthy competition, but they counter that by buying up companies that will threaten their virtual monopolies/duopolies/price fixing/cartel operations. Facebook bought out anyone that's a threat. A lot of these companies need viable competition for us to be able to vote with our wallets. I don't want rubbish goods; I want companies like AMD to produce goods that are better or equal to Nvidia and Intel. These megacorporations have a stranglehold on us and our wallets at the moment. As soon as we support a company that looks promising, they will buy it up and let die in their cancerous gut. We major issues to solve, and it's going to take a major problem-solving process to get on top of these companies.

While the CEO isn't blameless he owns the lest blame while still deserving some blame. The fact he takes any blame makes him one of the best CEOs in existence. I mean that is a low bar, but still. Most of the mess ups where all on Sony. Including, and most importantly, selling to regions that couldn't even create PSN accounts. If it wasn't for Sony being greedy this would have never happened at all. The CMs on the other hand deserve all the hate they are getting. There were no good intentions at all there.

Generally the CEO isn't even aware of what a CM does as there are levels of management between him and them. Now that he should know will he do something about it? Also while I don't think it is the case in this instance, but sometimes the CMs are actually hired by the publisher to support the company and while report directly to the company can't be fired by them. They have to get the publisher to assign someone else in their place. I mean the CMs in this instance say they work for Arrowhead and we will have to see what the CEO does about them. However, given how much they've lied about everything else it wouldn't surprise me at all if they don't actually work for AH and are just using it for deflection or to trash AH's name.

How that even happens doesn't make any sense. Sony CA is even responsible for several JP studios closing down. I can't remember the name, but one of the JP studios that had been supporting multiple games was all set to be the lead on a game and got shutdown a couple years ago instead. Problem is the EULA was breached by Sony, they changed it on the go. So that's not the problem. People were okay with an "optional" PSN account. Until they changed it to "mandatory" and not even notifying people about this change or make them undergo the consent/no consent due process again.
