no, deep rock was already doing the "no fear of missing out" thing before helldivers 2. my source is i have litterally visited the studio way before helldivers 2 were out, and they straigt up told us, "no FOMO".

Deep Rock's only FOMO items are the anniversary hats. Even the seasons were not FOMO. Instead, the cosmetics would be added into the drop tables and shop. They were still free, but not as easy to get as just playing the game.

To add to the Vietnam tangent one thing that didn't help was China threatening to join the war if the US set foot into North Vietnam so the US couldn't do anything other than air attacks and had to rely on South Vietnam to attack the North (and the South sucked at that) Same for Afghanistan because a lot of the reinforcements and logistics were in Pakistan so the US couldn't actually effectively end the Taliban as more fighters would arrive over the Pakistani border.

I support the people who are on the live on the Creek because major order or not you have to do what's fun I'm out it's not like the bug squishers helped with the first part of taking down the bots more often than not you can find over 60 to 70,000 people over in terminid territory but do they get yelled at by the community? No because the bugs are easy mode. Also the creek was basically Won by the time it became an objective on April 1st so you bow down and thank those men who put down their lives who fought on the creek

You’re actually incorrect about DRG. Nothing is locked away, if you don’t complete the battle pass (Which is free) whatever you didn’t grab goes random loot pools you can find in missions. The battlepass is just the most convenient way of getting the items

10:22 Nothing has changed for players since Helldivers 1. "DO YOU GUYS NOT SEE, THE FUCKING OBJECTIVE?!?!?" Nah we keep firing at anything that moves and charge in the opposite direction, until we get overrun, or the sane guy is left to solo the entire mission, then revive us at the extract. Guys we are not accomplishing anything here, don't make me turn into a commissar and shoot all of you for insubordination. And yes, I literally commited acts of intentional friendly fire in Helldivers 1 due to how it plays, and how a single player, can and will stop you from moving to the objective. Why? Because HD1 is top down and the camera is always tethered to all players in the screen instead of your own, so you literally cannot move unless that one player in the corner moves close to you. HD2 being a TPS is much more lenient as we can just leave that one idiot hero behind to fight alone while we run for the objective
