I gotta assume that guy was a toxic cod type player that thought that he could call out the devs into a 1v1 against him or something when it is literally the case that we have hundreds possibly thousands of pvp games that already exist that have tones of players and it’s also the fact that I’ve been saying for a few years that PvP is pointless because it’s side content for after your done with game not something you should be putting hundreds of hours into just to possibly waste all that time and effort when your no longer able to play at your best after like 10 years let’s say I mean I’ve seen people genuinely say that they want rockstar to make it to where they can go into other players apartments in gta and kill them in their own property’s and steal their vehicles and their money like I even had one guy get genuinely mad at me because I didn’t want to turn everything into a competition I was amazing at PvP back in black ops 2 but nowadays I’m above average at best I honestly could go on and on but you probably get the idea lol
You "no PvP equals dead game" folks really dont get it. A lack of PvP is a feature. We want no PvP. We will continue to play the game because it has great gameplay and a dynamic campaign. We will support this game BECAUSE it's got a solid idea of what it wants to be and isn't wasting effort on stuff that doesn't matter to the people who want this specific kind of experience.
Idk they're dumb Ig Miss the idea of the game ig It's already hard enough to deal with 2 factions especially eith capturing automaton sectors Now they wanna waste dealing with each other trying to prove something ig it's a pve game at foremost so adding pvp aspect to it will jist make it more difficult especially with balancing lol
It's because there are a LOT of players that absolutely do not enjoy fighting any game against A.I. for them the only and ultimate challenge is fighting against human players to make sure they enjoy the game for 5+ years, instead of just a few months before moving on. I've met a few, tried to convince them otherwise, didn't stick. In their eyes, every game without PvP is boring, predictable and repetitive.
@@Thepvpguy128not entirely, I’m pretty PvP leaned in gaming yet I think pve is a nice change, Good on the devs imo. Most PvP communities are annoying and whine for nerfs or buffs 24/7
@@uh0p I agree with that. That's the problem that I do see in p v p is developer's Nerf and buff things that don't need to be done. Lots of times they like to do that for the casuals.
That comment need a fresh cup of Liber-tea and after you and I will talk about we can bring even more Democracy, Keep diving give them hell for Super Earth
The players are already loosing so much ground to the automatons. Why would they want players wasting time battling each other, while the automatons close in to super earth?
@@mattnichols3209 I think it's just over. The game self deletes and your computer/PlayStation explodes killing you and burning your house down for your failure.
As if lethal company and palworld that just came out before have pvp or deep rock galactic which is the most similar game to this still extremely popular lol
@@ghostrunner2138 Mf how does Lethal Company have PvP??? There’s only friendly fire dmg. Palworlds is different and has practically died with no more media coverage
Something like the division 2 raids where it's multiple teams working together towards difficult objectives would be nice, might be the best way to bring back bossfights from helldivers 1
Comparing to battles of the original Helldivers, I hope to see a battle of 2 groups of Helldivers getting tossed into the same map (slightly larger maybe) with one of the older bosses to fight .... I saw a boss fight last 15 minutes in the original game imagine that here, and with 2 squads together
That would be really cool! They could also add a sort of Naval combat system between the factions (controlled by Joel) to determine what planets are able to be landed on. This could also be used to have naval battles using helldivers as boarders and fighting automatons onboard their ships like in Battlefrotnt 2 (the old one).
I would want proxim chat for intersquad comms. Like imagine having your own tasks for your mission and meeting someone from another squad and having to explain to your team via ingame squad vc on what the other squad needs to do.
Good, I used to play destiny 2 religiously and the PvP element ruins the core PvE experience. Now I'm a helldiver fanatic. Only been playing 4 days and I'm obsessed
It's such a breath of fresh air, most games that have some aspect of PVE eventually fall victim to the PVP cycle and then end up having a toxic portion of the community and then it just ends up spilling over to other aspects making the game less appealing to newcomers
@@marcoflores2656 100 percent man. Helldivers has really outdone itself, especially for such a small developer. They went above and beyond, the community is great the Devs are great. Hopefully they maintain this and don't fall into the same cycles that bigger titles have already done
I hate anything PVP that also has PC players in it. Fucking hate how crossplay made PC players able to play with console players. And SO MANY share that same sentiment. The pure advantages PC has only console is absolutely absurd and not to mention the nonstop hacks and cheats that come with it.
@@darrellgainer6966same here, I played destiny 1 since beta as well, but I wouldn’t say pvp is the staple of it. It’s more like the raids imo. But the nerfs the guns in d1 heck even d2 received just because of pvp alone is ridiculous in destiny.
THANK FUCK, adding a pvp gamemode at surface level wouldnt take much away from the game but it defeats the purpose of what the game is about and ruins the sentiment of the community they have mustered.
Not only that, it adds an unparalleled level of toxicity and elitism into every game it's implemented in, and PvE ALWAYS ends up getting screwed over by PvP because "Wah wah, balance, wah wah stagnant meta, wah wah demand more focus"
No PvP is what makes this game so good. This is the most wholesome gaming community I've witnessed in a long time, and it's fucking great. Keep liberating! ✊
Thank God. Honestly I feel like there's a really frustrating trend where PvP is slapped on as a substitute for good game content. I love this Dev team so much.
He really said, "If you don't like what we are offering, go play another game." I really hope Helldivers 2 marks a change in the industry, a return to studios making games that cater to specific audiences, rather than trying to be all things to all players.
I think they should introduce a few time things where they should have a huge number of enemies and a huge number of Helldivers to fight. Like a final stand before liberating a planet. Do you guys think that should happen or no.
Pvp is made to ruin games that pvp addicts beat off by shiting on people in any game, even ones where you're meant to support your teammates, not destroy them, PvE made difficult enough even for hardened players is a good game, even fun as well and movie-like at all times
I think that's a good idea, you can really feel the camaraderie even with randoms. It really feels like you're part of a bigger team and world, everyone's fighting for the cause its awesome
I want a gamemode where its like 20 Helldivers all with 1 Life fighting hoards and hoards of enemies for like a half hour and in the end only a few remain, like Halo’s Firefight
They probably have mics but are in PS5 party chat, or Discord etc on PC. I've played full 1.5 hour campaigns in silence only for a dude to randomly go "bunker here" after 1.3 hours of no talk just pings.
PvP = toxicity, so the CEO recommends the pvpToxicBro to seek said toxicity in the bottomless pit of toxic sludge that Tarkov offers. Legendary way to answer.
@@Thepvpguy128To be honest, yes. If someone's only goal is to cause problems and kill people, then yes. Everyone gets an opportunity to explain themselves or to stop but if they don't then yeah, they get kicked and made to go do it elsewhere. Now if it's a case of everyone just messing around and everyone is okay with it then no, they won't get kicked cause everyone agreed. This is done with friends though as it can be stopped when needed easier that way.
@@ashenmutant1836 You know what's funny to me? These are the same people that cried about coop as well because they like single player only but When the CEO came out and talked about toxicity in pvp Then they jumped all over his nuts and now they love co op. Lol
@@Thepvpguy128 Never heard anyone crying about it being coop, only the small minority of people complaining about there being no pvp. Speaking of, do you even play the game or are you one of those "I don't play the game but I'll still get upset at it" people? Not ragging or anything, just genuinely curious.
My friends and I play a game where we independently go to corners of the map on a planet with ion storms and then on go, hunt each other down. The ion storms give some cover for repositioning and the orbital bombardments are great for area denial
What a bad take you guys have. You guys can't just simply enjoy what the game has to offer and always have to whine that everything has to be about competition with each other and not just working together. You guys are the prime examples of why they won't add PvP And as the guy said Just play tarkov if that's what you're looking for
@@marcoflores2656not a pc player. There is only 2 Extraction shooters on Consoles that are pvp. You guys are the ones that whine every time they come out with a p v p game because it doesn't have a single player. It's a fact co-op and mostly single player games People play It for a week. They beat it and then they are done with it. Most of your popular games that are most watched on twitch are pvp.
I've been saying this for years. I would absolutely rather pit my wits against a team of developers who want me to have FUN and KEEP PLAYING rather than some tryhard asshole who wants to make me ragequit.
I agree. This is a dedicated co-op squad shooter. It's the first multiplayer game ive played in over three years and the community is great! I was afraid of griefers etc, but almost all lobbies and drop-ins have been class acts
@miguelzim6259 Yup it really pissed me off that some people are still attacking him and after all evidence had lay out of him being innocent all this time.
Honestly, there's right now bigger issues with Helldivers. There's just too many bugs. The automatons also need a rework with things like rocket raiders and rocket devestators needing nerfs. Still fucking love the game.
I'm so glad the CEO is standing firm on this. You partially left out the best part of the comment he was replying to, which is that the original commenter claimed not only that Arrowhead was scared but also implied that PvP is some sort of rare occurrence in gaming and its common for games not to have it. Which is hilarious. PvP has games like Tarkov, Fortnite, PUBG, R6S, CS2, Overwatch, Halo, COD, Battlefield, Insurgency Sandstorm, Squad, and plenty of others I'm leaving out. PvE horde shooters have Payday, Killing Floor, Left For Dead, and a few game modes in Insurgency Sandstorm and R6S. Yeah no, I'm glad there is finally a game for people like me again who don't want to play some sweatfest battle royale or PvP match but instead just chill slaughtering hordes of bots and buts.
People who want pvp in that game altho we’re already sort of losing ground to the bugs and more of the automatons are losers i say huge W to the helldivers devs they know what people really want a fun community.
Also, a thing about PvP that ruins so many good games is that players complain a lot when they consistently die to inevitable meta weapons. The weapons then get nerfed to the point of being entirely useless. I saw it in every FromSoft title from Demons souls to elden ring, and in Destiny 1 as well as Destiny 2. The last thing Super Citizens need are weaker guns.
Agree. It would be a balancing nightmare on the same Level as overwatch. Too much $hit, too hard to balance it all, especially considering most of the weapons aren't made for pvp.
I love the game the way it is it's fun and you enjoy talking with other people, and cooperation is something greatly needed in the game and they fulfilled it
that's a good point actually, most people who can afford helldivers 2 already have CoD, battlefield or any other PvP games if they want PvP they can play those games.
@@Trancer006 if you would stop acting like a child and except not everything needs pvp we’d be fine genes exist for a variety of players and shouldn’t exist just to please you. You want a pvp game go play a pvp game hell divers is pve and going to stay that way. If I want to play a pvp game I’ll go play Halo or cod or hell let loose or any of the other thousands of pvp games. You literally have proven them right and given them every justification for the devs not to put pvp in the game all because you can’t except other gamers want other things besides what you want.
@@knightblade0188 Bro you spell like a 12yo and are telling me to grow up lol. Again, Im okay with BOTH game modes co-existing together that cater to MORE gamers. You and your buddies are the ones that dictate what we can or cant play, you don’t want an additional separate game mode because you don’t like it lmao. You have proven more than enough which side is toxic here. If you want singleplayer or co-op go play CoD, it has both options. We dont need another game at all!!
Im genuinely thrilled its not pvp in so wick of every game being a battleground or pvp style fame its refreshing to get a game that requires co-op from players.
It's nice to see a game completely focusing on PvE. Not everything needs to be PVP and I'm loving the community this PvE gameplay is creating. Look at it as the players versus the developers
