MG sentry is ready for every fight and is like another helldiver with one machine gun magazine. Wastes less ammo than Gatling, slightly harder to kill yourself or your team, but it does less dps and has less overall ammo. You pick it for the up time and it’s cooldown. Also a good distraction. Does same durable damage as Gatling but doesn’t have the firerate. They both have their place. I can understand choosing AC sentry over it for this load out though. Still does crowd clear but possibly the highest damaging sentry to heavies.
I take this loadout often funnily enough. AC sentry, rocket and gatling sentry absolutely wipes out termind swarms. Lasts longer than eagle strikes and spends only as much ammunition as it requires to kill each target. Meaning they are killing for longer. Plus the anti charger and bile titan the AC and rocket provide whilst the gatling clears all the medium-trash units. Its rare for me not to have the most kills on a 9 mission. Its dam effective
gatling sentry suprisingly very good aggaints terminid, usually kill 30-50 by itself in a bug breaches. i usually dont take others that gatling and machine gun though. still it does kill me once or twice in the mission because patrol suddenly comes from behind lmao
I think that you place the sentries not very effectively. Line of sight sentries need to be placed on high ground and a bit removed from the troubles/melee action. The combo with MG and Gatling is probably not the best. I would rather opt for the auto cannon. Especially on Lvl9. If you give your sentries time to start working, they are very effective. But when they get crushed by a charger after 5 secs something is wrong.
sounds fair but its not easy to find a high ground when you had a bug breach suddenly, and when i search a high ground theres already at least charger behemoth ready and theres still 4/5 second to deploy and MG sentry is the fastest CD in the game i need it for entering a red zone or fighting 2 patrols and autocannon is really really good aggaints big mobs ,but the problem it doesnt prioritize big mobs but rocket does so my choice is those 3
